I had the hankering for a new type of rp. I wanted to see how our characters would do in a setting like this: The world has been ravaged by demons. They come in the shadows. They look like the shadow of a dog, all black with red eyes. A small group of dogs in a torn landscape. Alone. They will be brought together by necessity and survival. Each with thier own story. Who will be the leader? Who will follow? What do you think? Anyone out there be intrested? *MODIFY* For visual purposes, I was thinking that the demon dogs in this thread should look a bit like, Dante D's Necromancer Hounds dante-d.deviantart.com/art/Necromancer-Hound-Lineart-100787234

It was quiet. That happens alot now. Even in the city there was scarcely the chirp of a cricket. It was as though all the life in the area had vanished. Then again, that is almost what happened. I stopped seeing humans when they showed up. It was so sudden, too.
One night, I was spending time with my master. We were hiking in the forest behind the farm we lived on. I remember, we lost track of time from all the fun we were having with each other. Soon... Too soon, it was dark. The air became heavy. I recall that before everything went to hell. These... things came into existence. They... came into materialization and attacked us. Without warning, those demons were making a rag doll out of me and my beloved boy. I watched him get ripped apart by their filthy mouths with too many teeth.
Gleaming red eyes fur darker than the blackest abysmal black. I shivered as I walked down the long abandoned street. Accursed beings of death. Those infernal scourges of earth. My dark paw avoided a patch of grass with a dried unknown substance.
When I saw him die. I lost it. When my jaws found their necks; there was no blood. They simply poof ed back out of existence. Just as they came, they vanish. I fought them until sunrise. Then they left.
For a few nights, they didn't come back. Then, they came out of the dark. They only come out when the sun has set.So... Here I am... Alone... Wandering because I realized that there is nowhere safe from those things. No one... No humans or dogs anywhere...I'm so alone...
Goldie sat on her haunches in the middle of an old paved street. The sun was setting. A cool breeze blew through the empty city, grass that had grown through the cement rustled. The dark blue dog lifted her head to the heavens and howled a lonely and sorrowful tone...

Ears flew up at the sound of the howl, was it really true, was another dog in this city? Fu's curled tail gave a short wag, but then stopped, she wasn't too sure how this strange canine would greet her. But that didn't stop Fu. She really didn't care what others thought of her. "Okay, now which way," she barked aloud to herself, trying to figure out where the howl had come from.
After a few attempts, all of which ended up at a dead end, Fu sat down a closed her eyes. She felt her mind pulsate and then lights began to flicker inside her head. Then there where four glowing objects in her mind; three of which she knew where the 'things.' Or that was what she had called those red-eyed doggies. But the fourth one was a dog, like her. She opened her ruby eyes and placed a smile on her muzzle.
With a little help from her 'mind's eye,' Fu easily found where the other dog was. She was surprised to see how depressed the adult looked, Wonder what's wrong with her? The pup cocked her head in wonder, she just couldn't think of anything that was wrong. So there were a few demon doggies running about and killing people and canines. But what was wrong with that? Fu just couldn't understand.
"Hey, lady," she barked, waging her tail. "What'cha doing? I'm Fu." Through her small introduction, there was only a small dark though in the back of her mind, Wonder how she'll reacted to my exile mark. Her 'exile mark,' as Fu called the X-shaped scar across her forehead, had made most dogs wary of her; because who ever heard of a pup being exiled?

Its all so useless. There is no one else. Whats the point of living anymore. All I do is run away and kill. Thats it. What a pathetic existence. If only... Goldie looked down. If only my master were here. At least then I could protect....
A voice broke her saddened rut. "Hey, lady," a pup barked, waging her tail. "What'cha doing? I'm Fu." the dog named Fu had an unusual air about her. Certainly cute, no doubt about that. But that scar... What the story behind that...? Goldie smiled at her, Then again what do I care? Its someone else! Company!
"Hello, Fu! My name is Goldie... Its... amazing to meet you!" she said in an overexcited voice. Hope... Thats all I need! The wind shifted and the world seemed to slow down. "Huh?" the dark hound said glancing around...
"Oh no... not again..." Her golden eyes looked at the pup, "Stay close. I will..." she paused and added, "... protect you!"

Fu jumped back at Goldies's overexcited greeting, she wasn't quite use to dogs greeting her like that. But it didn't stun her for long. Though she did think that the adult was rather... Strange. She wanted to protect Fu, but from what? The red-eyed doggies? They didn't scare her the least. Or maybe there's something else around here besides the red-eyed one? she quickly thought. But with a quick shake of her head she dismissed the thought. I would of seen it if there was something else around here... So... Maybe I'll ask.
"So, Goldie-san, what are you intending to protect me from?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "There's only a few red-eyed doggies around here, but I don't think there doing much at the moment."
[sorry for taking so long, my muse was dead from awhile]

OoC Yey, I'm joining with my Phoebus!
Growls were shot out as a wolf warned a demon to get close. The black creature just looked at the noble wolf with a vacant look, and to its surprise, it actually backed away. However, as soon as it did, Phoebus was caught lunging at it's throat. Blood, I need to taste blood! rolled in his mind, as he knew that the creature would just "poof". As you see, the Silver Knight already fought thousands of these spineless canine wanna be's. Another growl was spat out, frustrated at the lack of crimson liquid found on these depressing land. Depressing, like me
And so he began to walk. Walk until he couldn't walk anymore. As he did so, it was slightly apparent that he had a limp to his gait. The wolf had an encounter with several dogs, about two months ago, and managed to injure him. But never mind that. Phoebus was invincible, or that's what he thought

(OoC:: lol, Never been in a thread with him! This is gonna be fun... ^^)
Goldie blankly stared at the small pup beside her. So she knows about the demons.... And she's not afraid?[/color] She blinked. Then... That means that... she's not afraid... "Well, yes.... as you said the 'red-eyed doggies.' Oh.. Alright... Er... Sorry.. I'm not usually like this. Things have been a bit... peachy lately." she looked down embarassed at her unusual behavior. Cursing her manners she said, "Wait? What do you mean?" Her yellow eyes fervently scanned th area. Goldie sense their oncomming presence, yet was unable to pinpoint their location. Let alond, count the number of them. "How... Do you know that?"

[Yay another member ^^]
Fu smiled as the adult embarrassed herself; she always thought it was funny to see the older dogs caught up in their emotions. Though her smile faded when Goldie asked 'how' she knew that the red-eyed doggies were around here. She let out a long sigh, she'd always had a question like this when ever she met a another dog. "Well," she started. "I can sorta 'see' things with my mind." Fu placed big emphasis on the word 'see.'
As the pup waited for the adult to respond, she thought she might as well check up on those strange phantoms. Now lets see... Fu closed her eyes and her mind pulsated a few times and then five lights appeared. "Oh," she said suddenly, opening her ruby eyes. "It seems there's another canine around here. I wonder why he attacked the red-eyed dog?"

OoC Yey!
As the wolf limped, another demon started stalking him. Phoebus didn't know about it because it trailed far behind to care. He got closer and closer to a couple of female dogs. Their scent flowed through his nostrils right before slowing to a stop. Regular dogs? thought he, eyes widening in shock. He wasn't the last one? Was that good?
Thinking so, Phoebus started to walk toward them, ears pulled foward as if to catch what they would say. Slowly, their figures appeared, but right before doing anythng else, the laggin demon had managed to lunge it'self onto the canine's thigh

Goldie stared at her blankely. She blinked a few times before saying, "Huh?" What's she trying to say... 'See'?... It was then that the gears began to turn in her head. Of course... That scar she's got. And... the fact that she's so fearless and able to defend herself. I never really thought about it. But it does kind of fit. her ears went back as Fu seemed to focus. Poor pup... What sort of life have you known... her yellow eyes softened as she studied the dog that barely reached up to her side.
"It seems there's another canine around here. I wonder why he attacked the red-eyed dog?"
Another dog? How could this be? "Really where? Can you... That is... Can we go to him?" Goldie didn't want it seem like she was forcing the young dog to her will, the dark hound was simply so curious. That was when, slowly a fugure appeared. A large white canine. Shocked, Goldie was too happy to say anything. A demon lunged at strangers leg. No..... She suddenly sprinted forward, not wanting to see another be killed by such monstrosities...

Fu turned her head in the direction the newcomer was coming from. She stood up and cocked her head slightly so that she could look around Phoebus. That's when the red-eyed dog lunged. Her reaction was far different then the reaction Goldie had.
The akita pup just stood there with a placid look upon her face, I like those guys. The ones she had liked, were not the two 'normal' canines, but the strange, ghost-like ones. For some reason, Fu felt drawn to them. Suddenly, she followed after Goldie, though only at a casual walk, I wonder why Goldie-san ran off like that? All that red-eyed one's doing is just attacking...

OoC Sorry for not posting =\. But I did! =D
The wolf could feel teeth sink into his upper, right thigh. Damn shit bag thought he, a growl ommited from this throat. Before the white canine could do a thing, he noticed the lack of pain where there was pain. Phoebus turned his head to face his rear, and it was gone! His golden eyes darted from the blue dog to the orange, and back to the blue one. Why did she save me? he thought, in shock. No one really cared what happened to the "fallen" knight, so of course he would be in shock.
The demon squealed once it felt Goldie's teeth around it's shoulder. It's large ears pinned themselves against it's skull, as it tried to squirm out of the large dog's grip.

Goldie held the demon in her jaws. It vanished out of existence with barely a poof. The hybrid shuddered and collapsed to the ground. Her ears pricked down and she sighed. It's never a good feeling to kill. Despite those being.. demons. I don't know why I feel so bad. They're probably not even alive...
Her golden eyes traveled to the white male before her. "Are.... you hurt at all?" her voice was breathless and ragged. Running and attacking like that took alot out of the female. Godlie felt the familiar twinge and tightness in her chest...
oh no.... not again... That was a bad decision.... She rolled onto her side and rested her head on the ground. "Sorry, Fu..." she said weakly. "I gotta rest...." her glimmering eyes shut as the three white scar lines on her chest began to burn.
Cerule happened upon a group of dogs. They were all just standing around, not doing much. There was a female on the ground that didn't look too good. He was in full view now. The Dane wanted to say something, but no words formed. Ever since Joy died.... Well.... Life just isn't what it was... He wondered what Joy would have said if she were here. CC did nothing and was silent as he watched the small pack with broken blue eyes...

Fu watched the short battle with little interest, though her ears did droop slightly when the red-eyed dog disappeared. Aww, why did he go? she thought, looking at where the demon had just been. With a sigh, she turned and looked at Goldie and was surprised to find her so exhausted. "Goldie-san, are you okay?" The young dog really didn't know what to do, Goldie didn't seem to have any visible wounds on her. Suddenly, her pupils started to dilate and expand; then her vision blurred. The effect of using the 'mind's eye' with one's eyes open; or at last in her case.
Another dog was here; her head wiped around to face the newcomer. Fu spotted him not with her eyes, but with her mind. She wobbled slightly as her vision began to clear; now she could see the new dog for all he was. Forgetting about the other two, she went up to Cerule, "Hiya," she barked, wagging her curled tail.
