[[Awesome! We got to page 2! ;D]] Taiyo looked down at the ground, a sigh escaping from him. It was quite a nice gesture to try making a make-shift bed with very little to work with, but he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep until tomorrow... at the earliest. "I... he hesitated, not wanting to say anything that would scare Umeko away, "I can't sleep. It's very nice of you to offer, but I won't be able to. I have a rather severe sleeping disorder stemming from when I was younger. My humans... they would beat me for no reason when I would try to sleep. I would eventually get so tired that I just couldn't get any rest, and I hated them for it." Taiyo explained, not wanting to get any further detailed. Did I say too much...?The hallucinations will start happening soon, won't they? Tai kept his smile, grim as it may have become, and looked Umeko in the eyes. "I'll probably start hallucinating pretty soon. I'll think something is there when it's not: see things. Please don't worry about it Umeko." His eyes brightened up a bit as he gave the purple and blue Akita a reassuring smile. "Shall we continue onward towards paradise, or would you like to find your friend?"

Umeko's eyes softened, "It must have been very hard... I'm sorry, no dog should ever have to go through such torment..." She brightened up wanting to ease the discomfort in the air. "Especially such a sweet dog as yourself.." I can't even imaging having to go through something like that... Can humans really be that bad? They were always so nice and vulnerable to me. But Taiyo, he saw a whole different side of them, and it wasn't pretty. I wonder how he came out to be such an benevolent dog? I guess he's just awesome like that "I'll probably start hallucinating pretty soon. I'll think something is there when it's not: see things. Please don't worry about it Umeko." Initially, the thought of a crazed dog rampaging around the sunny forest was startling. Despite such feelings, Umeko saw how heartfelt his emotions were and how genuine he wanted to help her- a complete stranger! All of her doubts were forgotten and she trusted Taiyo's words. "Okay." it was a simple and short word, but with such small daftness, she cemented herself to his side. It was an oath of no abandonment- no matter how bad things got. Umeko's old mentality began to kick in, she was the nurturer and the caregiver now. She settled herself in the ground and awaited what was to come with a calm and loving expression...

"It must have been very hard... I'm sorry, no dog should ever have to go through such torment..." Taiyo smiled at the attempt at consolation, feeling better. However he didn't really hold the humans actions against them. He had seen other human with other dogs at a place they called a 'park' and saw how well the two could co-exist. He harbored negative feelings only toward his. "Especially such a sweet dog as yourself.." Wh-huh? Did... did she? ...Wow...! A deep blush crept along Taiyo's muzzle as his eyes shot up in surprise. That doesn't happen often! "Thanks. Right back to you Umeko." Yo-yo grinned sheepishly as he flopped down next to the Akita Inu. What still has me curious is her ability... "How much can you see with your ability?" Tai chuckled as so many questions raced through his mind, "Can you see how someone dies? How long it takes to get somewhere? ...Speaking of which where is the dog you were traveling with?"[[Sorry it took me a while to respond. My muse took a vacation. I'll try not to leave it hanging again. ^_^"]

[Sokay.. I wasn't able to get on for a while.. ^^] Umeko giggled at Taiyo's response to her compliment. What a silly dog... I'm glad to see another bright dog. I guess I really tired of hanging around a downer like Mathis. Her ear twtiched once, I hate this! I always get so frustrated whenever I even think about that big jerk, but I can't stop thinking about him... Why is that?"How much can you see with your ability?" Umeko bounced her head a couple times in a joking manner, but before she could answer, she was hit with a barrage. "Can you see how someone dies? How long it takes to get somewhere? ...Speaking of which where is the dog you were traveling with?" "Well I.." Umeko was unsure of which to answer to first. "Ahem... I really can't see much its more along the lines of-" Before she could answer to any of his questions, it suddenly happened. Her yellow eyes lost their luster and glazed over as her body froze in place.
There was a wave of blood that was rushing toward her. Umeko was frozen in place, there were angry barks behind her as the crimson tide crashed into her. She was sent tumbling into the surf, her legs kicked and thrashed for air.
Ume trembled and shook uncontrollably. Whimpers sounded from her closed muzzel...

Taiyo's eyes went wide as Umeko was having what he guessed was a seizure. Oh damn... what do I do? What to do? He then smacked himself for not just taking action to help instead of just standing there. "Oi, Umeko? Umeko! Uhhh...! Crap crap crap, what do I do?" Tai burst into a small, panicked frenzy. I've never dealt with this before, only heard of it... Guh... Did the humans talk of it? His face paled at his lack of ideas, thinking time may be of the essence. He racked his brain for an idea, any idea. Think think... Comfort? Do I comfort her? Will it help?
Deciding it was a better idea then doing nothing the large hound made his way next to his trembling friend and rested his head on the back of her neck. Without thinking of what would come out of his mouth, Taiyo spoke in as gentle a tone as he could in his more-than-slightly frenzied state, "Umeko... I'm right here. I'm not leaving your side any time soon. It's okay." Caught up in the moment and unaware to himself, he was nuzzling the smaller dog.

Umeko was appaled at what she had just saw. What made matters worse was that it was a sure vision of the future. And she was still very afraid of blood. She stared at the floor as the world seemed to tip and spin under her feet. Distantly she listened to a familiar voice tremble with fear. The pink and purple Akita dog groaned as nausia settled in her stomac. Suddenly, a revoulting feeling sat like a dense cold stone in her stomac from what was sure to come. She vomited, a slurry of foul smelling chunky odd yellow colored substance sprayed on the browning dirt. Tears began to flow freely from her eyes, everything became blurry and it burned when she blinked. Suddenly there was a something on her shoulder. It was warm, and it vibrated a mellow calming tone: "Umeko... I'm right here. I'm not leaving your side any time soon. It's okay." It was Taiyo. He was right there with her. It was all very ironic, she was there to support him and here he was... Mathis bite his black tongue and didn't even knotice the blood dripping from his mouth, down his chin and to the ground. He watched the tall white dog getting close to his female. Well, not that she's my female, but... His lips curled as his breathing doubled in rage. With his muscles tight and rigid, he walked out out of his hiding spot to face them. He stared at the males profile with a piercing acid green eyed gaze. The primal Thai ridgeback already found several weakspots in his frame, adding them as mental notes if he needed to show who was alpha. He said nothing, instead, he waited for them to notice him..

As the vomit flew from Umeko's mouth, Taiyo had to hold back a spew of his own. It wasn't very often he saw another puke and it always wrenched his stomach. Tears flowed from her eyes like a stream already leaving her fur wet and matted. He couldn't help but feel a pain in his heart at how much misery the smaller Akita was in at the moment. After a while he could see and feel Umeko calm down from his comfort. It... worked! Oh man, now what should I-
Taiyo's train of thought was broken off completely as he felt eyes boring in to the back of his head and he strained to suppress a shiver. Slowly, he lifted his said head off of the Akita Inu and turned to face the potential threat. Not wanting to come off as challenging Tai sat down on his haunches.
"Hi there, who are you? Are... you the traveling companion that she keeps talking about?" Taiyo looked over with tired and slightly worried eyes at his new friend to make sure she was holding up alright. "She, Umeko, went into this weird stiff-lock and started crying and vomiting when we were talking. It scared the shit outta me, I had no idea what to do to try and help her, so... I tried to comfort her..." God, I really hope she isn't traumatized by something I did...

"Hi there, who are you? Are... you the traveling companion that she keeps talking about?" It was a simple question, an innocent one at that. There was no reason for him to want to attack the taller Irish wolfhound. Mathis continued his glare; neon greed eyes narrowed into slits. Umeko froze as she saw him. And he really didn't seem happy to be there. "She, Umeko, went into this weird stiff-lock and started crying and vomiting when we were talking. It scared the shit outta me, I had no idea what to do to try and help her, so... I tried to comfort her..." The dark black dog snorted at his sentence, "Pathetic..." Was all he said, continuing his dominant stare, "Ume!" he shouted, the multi colored Akita flinched as he called her by her nickname. "What did you see?" he barked. Umeko shook her head, I get it now... They're going to fight... No,... That's not what I want...Mathis growled and said more sternly, "Answer me when I talk to you..."
