“It’s been two weeks now,” A young male stated with a husky voice, “Where do you suppose he is?” His black fur blended in with the shadows of the tree as he sat, red eyes contently searching the horizon for any sign for the dog in question.
A younger male, fur white as snow landed in the branches above him, looking down at his packmate with blue eyes as he sat down, shrugging, “He is our main assassin, not to mention our Alpha… I’m sure he’s fine. I mean, he has been gone longer than this before.” The Kishu laid down, dangled a forepaw over the edge of the branch and began to sway it slowly,“You worry too much, Kuro-Puu.” His words were spoken with soft laughter, making him seem like he was without a care in the world.
On the other hand, Kurogane twitched.
“IT’S KUROGANE!”
Fai smiled down at him again, his eyes closing as he did so, “Mmhmm.” He hummed, “Right…. Kuro-Rin.”
Kurogane growled, looking down at his paws as he muttered, “Why do I even bother…” He moved to look up at the Kishu again and yelped in surprise, falling back down on his rump. He didn’t know how the boy did it. One moment, he was far enough away to not hear a spoken word, and the next, he was right by his side. Kurogane’s eye twitched at this, how in the hell had ne not heard Fai leap down from the tree right to a spot right behind him?
Fai burst out in cheerful laughter as he moved to Kuro’s side, poking the top of his head with his paw and Kurogane fell onto his back with a growl. “Daddy can’t be tired yet, it’s just barely nightfall!” Fai exclaimed as his tail began to wag, lowering his head to hover right over Kurogane’s.
Another eye twitch.
Fai grinned as Kurogane lifted a paw to his chin and pushed him away so he could get up, “Bloody Kishu…” Once he was back on his paws, Kurogane stretched, “Anyway…” His straightforward demeanor was back, voice deep and serious once again, “When do you think Zehel will return? I’m getting bored.”
Once again, Fai shrugged, “I too wish for his return, but with or without him, we rally the pack tonight. Those were his orders.” Fai followed Kurogane as they padded back toward the large wooden buildings, hidden among the trees – their home, their village – Koga. “Besides, We have Raziel here.” Kurogane seemed to brighten up at this, seemingly to have forgotten about Zehel’s brother and Fai looked at him, raising his eyebrows. “You forgot again… didn’t you?” All he got in reply was a low growling mutter, and he grinned at it.
They padded into the village through the archway in the wall that protected its borders. The buildings were still in working shape, and getting better as their clan made repairs and changes to them. It was Zehel’s dream to restore Koga to its former glory… with modifications of course and so far, so good. The largest building stood in the middle of them all, its walls were covered in vines and other vegetation, its borders surrounded by bushes.
The two betas leaped over the railing that bordered the patio and made their way into the large, single room inside. Kurogane looked around as Fai leaped up one of the walls to land on the boughs above, lying down and dangling his paw over the edge once again, His white tail falling over as well. “It seems nobody has arrived yet.” Kuro observed before leaping up to a spot behind Fai as he laid his ears back and yawned.
Fai laid his head on his paw and smiled softly, “Kuro-Puu needs to learn patience as well.”
Kurogane hung his head with a deep sigh, “I give up.”
“That’s what Kuro-Puu said last time.” Fai grinned, his tone full of mocking sing song.
Kuro twitched again and growled, deciding not to reply to his “friend” as his red eyes moved to the door. A shadow, lit by the moonlight, twisted its way into the room, signaling that there were others outside. “It’s about time…”

Taiyo glanced about this way and that way as he tried to make his way through the Mie Prefecture toward the Koga village. The Irish Wolfhound had heard many htings about the clan war that once was, about ninjas, about stuff he just thought was awesome in general. I guess it can't be helped, can it? The Koga really DID sound amazing at one point. I just wonder if this new group is still as good? It would seem a shame if it wasn't... He laughed to himself as these thoughts went through his mind. "I'd most likely still join, though." He muttered to himself aloud as a smile played his lips.
He could tell that the Koga village was drawing closer through the interesting layout of tree branches, marks, and the overall energy exuding from the area as a whole. It was a very new feeling, a very intense energy. And I might become a part of it! How cool would that be! Taiyo looked around to try and make things out in this darkness... he couldn't see to well in the dark to begin with. I suppose even THIS is worthwhile training! he joked inwardly, egging another laugh to pour out of his muzzle.
At last he was there, and he scanned the place for anyone around. The energy around this famous area was so intense he almost didn't want to say a word. It would make no sense to come for the sake of practically going. He took a steeling breath. "Hello?"

Another was already wound up for this day to finally come. He was so bored with life, generally making the other dogs mad and trying to say they were the ones who started it first. Of course, though, his experience through did not come without a price. Having not only lost hearing in his right ear, he also lost the sight of his right eye, making it near impossible to detect anything on the right side of his body. But it did not seem to phase the older dog. He was a fighter, had been throughout his entire life. And had always been special. He was a pure breed koga dog, and that was one fact that kept him alive for so long. He had seemed to cheat death so many times it should have killed him years ago. Though physically looking in his prime, this dog was passed that and still out-doing the others who thought they were better. "And they thought I was too old..." He gave a chilling grin as he manuevered through the trees at a fast speed. Even through his jumping, he did not miss a beat on the details below. He noticed a few others on their way as well, younger and more agile, yet he was still beating them there? How pathetic... and I should be the one to have an escort to the camp..
He let his mind sit at that. He knew that he was in a high enough position to whip them into shape real fast. Having been under intense training, not only in the wild but fighting for his life once in the city, he was well prepared for this. It was only a matter of time before he, The Blackcat, would be face to face with the leader. If they saw differently, there would be a fairly big problem. If they were eye to eye on most things, Cry could consider a truce. He was not in the mood for fighting right now, but that would also change in the next couple of days. Holding an authorative air meant many things would change.
As he finally jumped down from the trees and ran upon the soft ground, he jumped over the final fence and into the yard, skidding to a halt, sitting down and scratch his neck casually. Just too easy.. Yes, for an older dog, Cry'Tal was very cocky. But he was probably much wiser than any other dog who could dare try take his place. With confidence, there was always bound to be something that will keep one going until the very end. And that something is what kept him from dying years and years ago. It is what kept him going. After scratching his neck, he lifted his head and strutted to the building. He passed by another who seemed uncertain of himself. "Come." He spoke, mentioning for the other to follow him. He was not one to talk much, but he did know when one should not daudle and be late... even if it was a little early.

"I hate it when they scream, it's like they have a hope of surviving," the female thought as she took hold of the hare's head and tugged sharply, snapping it's neck and silencing it's pitiful shrieking. Licking the blood thoughtfully from her fangs, she raised her head to observe the sky, the moonlight above almost illuminating the stark white mohawk that stood up from her crown. Catching her prey had taken longer than expected, but she did have to dig it out of it's hole, still she would probably be late. Turning back to the still warm creature at her feet, she grasped it's fur in her fangs and twisted quickly, ripping it from the flesh and started wolfing down bits of meat in a rushed fashion. If her body didn't require her to perform this routine every few hours, she would have left much sooner and been the first to arrive.
Casting anxious glances at the moon, she knew she wouldn't be able to finish the meal right now, she had to get moving or she'd be last to arrive. That was unacceptable. Picking the rest of the carcass up, she rushed at a nearby tree, digging her claws into the rough bark and half climbed, half jumped into its branches with ease. Laying the mangled animal on the branch, she gazed around her, making a note of where she put it so that she could come back to it later. Then without a second glance, lunged off her branch, landing on the branch of another tree without hesitation.
Repeating this over and over in fluid motion, she ran across the branches as if she were running across the ground instead, except she was covering a lot more ground this way. The sensation it brought her reminded her of a not so far away past when she was ambushing hikers in the mountains for easier meals. That was the past though, she was using her skills for a better purpose. And that purpose was slowly bringing its way into her line of sight, the shadowed buildings huddled together loomed in the distance. The moonlight was casting shadows all over the village and everything was quiet beneath them. To any passing stranger, it could be a ominous sight, harboring an aura the made you want to give it a wide birth. However, to her it was home.
Over the past few weeks there had been word of a new pack rising from the ashes of stories from before her birth. At first she paid them no interest, actually scratch that, she was interested. However, it was supposedly the pack that her father, she both cringed and growled at the memories, had spoke of since she was young. Knowing this, she didn't want anything to do with it - at least at first. Then she realized that this pack was the reason she was brought into existence in the first place, it was the only place she may find others who shared her Shikoku blood, and it very well may be the only place she would find somewhere she belonged.
The wind carried the scent of other dogs, those who'd gotten there before her. With every new scent that came to her she cursed herself for being slow, making a note to work on her speed in practice tomorrow. As she was almost on top of the buildings, the line of trees abruptly came to an end, forcing her to take a flying leap off the final branch before there was nothing left beneath her. Kenya didn't fall though, no sooner had she left the feeling of bark beneath her pads her fores hit the roof of one of the buildings with a thud. Without missing a beat or losing her stride, she kept running, leaping from the roof of one building and hitting another. This time though, her fores spread in front of her, bringing her hind legs forward, sending her skidding across the smooth surface.
Bi-colored gaze set steadily forward, she kept the skid going, watching as the edge of the building came on quickly. As it came, she hooked her hind feet onto it and jumped, studying the ground below and the open air between it and her. Silently, she landed on the ground below with less sound than the flutter of an owl's wings as it struck upon a mouse. Kenya's mouse however, was in the form of another dog, a tall wolfhound that looked mildly unsure of himself. With a smirk she gazed at the stranger, knowing that her markings and the shadows on her face gave the expression an eerie air. "Welcome," she said with feigned sweetness, in her mind however, her thoughts were more along the lines of 'new meat.'
Slowly, the grin faded from her expression, turning into a more serious one as she raised her head to study him. There was no similarities between them, there was no doubts that he didn't share her blood. Kenya wouldn't hold that against him though, she didn't share her father's feelings of superiority based on what you were or where you came from. The only thing that mattered to her was what you could do it and how well you could execute it. Blood meant nothing if you didn't have the competency to craft skill from it. Turning her head, she noticed another figure, this one was far different. Getting on in years, but far from useless, his features painted a familiar picture in her mind that wasn't pretty. She wasn't stupid however, her father was dead, and just because he was pure doesn't mean he was the same. The female offered the male a curt nod, one may consider it respect, but in this case it was a silent greeting of acknowledgment.
Without another word, she turned and stalked towards the rest of the buildings deeper into the village. Keeping a brisk pace and head high, she kept an eye on her surroundings as she approached one building in particular. The scents from inside drew her forward, telling her that there were individuals inside, the ones that they were supposed to meet no doubt. Keeping a few yards distance from the doorway, she paused before it, keeping her gaze trained on the darkness within. Remaining on her feet, she stood stock still aside from the occasional twitch of the ear to catch a sound behind her and flick of her tail as she waited as patiently as she could muster. She learned from experience that she can never simply assume she's safe, the world doesn't work that way, it will get you whenever you let your guard down. Until she saw those that drew her here, she didn't intend to relax.

Raziel knew that it would not be long before others came to their doorstep but even he had not expected so many at once. He watched them approach from a distance, wondering what kind of reactions Fai and Kurogane would have to them. Still, with so many canines present, it may be better for him to assert some Alpha dominance. They all seemed to be fairly experienced, and this could prove to be a problem if a fight were to break out.
With that thought in mind, Raziel got up from his perch atop another building, and leapt down gracefully through the window into the room his two betas were waiting in.
"Visitors," Raziel stated bluntly, nodding to the two second in commands briefly. Their scents all washed into the room as a breeze picked up outside. At first, Raziel was emotionless, but soon a smile made its way onto his maw. The scents mostly had the familiarity of Koga on them.
It seems the word did spread, Raziel thought, pride welling up in his chest. Zehel will be proud to see all of this when he returns. But... I still have to follow the rules he set. We have to test them all before they can be granted a position in this pack.
Raziel took a glance at Kurogane and Fai, nodding to them and passing an unsaid message between them. There would be no fighting these canines, at least, not yet.
"You may enter," Raziel said at last, inviting the canines in. "We have no interest in attacking you. State your business."

A young light yellow and white akita who had been sitting in the shadow a tree just outside the village waited for others to arrive before her.She had entered the area after the wolfhound but not through the way that he went. She had jumped into the tree that she sat under and leaped from branch to branch until she was sure that she had gone far enough to enter. She then made her way towards a building with scent of other canines coming from it.She now stood in the back of the group of canines who had arrived. She waited for her turn to speak though she knew it would be a little while.
Her muscular body showed no sign of tensiness for she didn't want to show her aggressiviness just yet.Her thoughts while waiting went to a few days ago when she had left her friends who she grew up with. All her friends and herself were assassians and she had had enough of watching her comrades die for the sake of humans who wanted to rule the land. She never looked back.
The site of the canines who had gathered made her feel uneasy for she thought of all the friends she lost in the past month of her training. At this moment she had hope for a new start and she was going to take it and hope that this pack who accept her and her skills as an assassian.

Kurogane focused his hard gaze on the opening of the building as his ears twitched, picking up the sound of voices outside. “I wonder how many will show...” His idle thoughts made their way into the cool night air as the blue eyes of his companion shifted to gaze at him.
"If word of Zehel's efforts traveled far, I'm sure many will have traveled just as far to come here tonight.” His words rolled smoothly off of his tongue, easing Kurogane as he laid his head down. Somehow, the Kishu had a way of speaking that aways relaxed him, it was strange indeed, but he was often thankful for it.
“Visitors”
Kurogane looked down at the co-alpha as he leaped into the room through the window. Kurogane lifted his head and returned the acknowledgement before speaking respectfully, “Don't forget what Zehel said. He didn't expect many of them to already have skills and abilities, so don't test them too roughly.” He sat up and scratched behind his ear lazily, keeping one eye open and focused on Raziel, “We'll have to train a good portion of them.” He ceased his scratching and laid back down, flexing his paws.
Fai shifted his gaze to the doorway as well as three dogs entered, two of them seemed to be of Kurogane's breed.... or at least part. He raised his head as he examined the third who was rather strange. Wolfhound?. Not a breed he expected to show up here, yet, he learned to never rule out the possibilities. Zehel had said to be prepared for whatever breed may show up, as he wasn't restricting the Koga to reform to just the breeds of Shikoku – Ken or Kishu. He focused on each one of the dogs individually, studying them and their features, they seemed strong, and he could smell a strong aura around each of determination. He smiled, Zehel would indeed be proud.
A fouth wandered her way into the room, and Fai faound himself curious. An Akita? I wonder if Zehel expected this one... He studied her, she too seemed strong and reserved, yet, she almost looked unsure for a moment, but that moment flashed by. I wonder what she knows... her skills... I've heard so much of the Akita breed. Fai found himself increasingly curious about each of the characters that stood before them. This.... oh yes, this was going to be fun.
"We have no interest in attacking you. State your business."
Must he be so straightforward and blunt all the time? Fai wondered idly as Raziel “greeted” the new comers. He looked to Kuro to see him smirking rather darkly, red eyes focused on the events below them, “State your names, if you will.”
Fai huffed softly. What a welcoming bunch you two are... he lays his ears back before looking back at the others, “You may sit anywhere you'd like.” His voice was soft, but strong, “Did any of you see any others coming this way?” He was hoping to hear of some word of Zehel, or perhaps more canines coming this way with the hopes of joining their ranks.

Taiyo stared straight back into Kurogane's red eyes without a shred of hesitation. A small grin tweaked the edges of his muzzle as he moved away from the entrance, but a bit closer to the three, and sat down. "My name's Taiyo." said Irish Wolfhound stated without taking his eyes away from Kurogane for a few more moments. He'll be a fun one I'm sure...
The next dog he looked over at was Fai, the oddly decorative white one. Taiyo looked into his eyes as well, his grin becoming a bit broader. "He seems to be the nice one, but appearances can be deceiving... nice eyes, though. he thought curiously. I wonder where he got all the designs and stuff from... a bit odd to see a dog with such strange markings.
The last one he flicked his eyes to was Raziel. He doesn't really seem to talk much... perhaps he's the leader? His eyes went back over to Fai as the question of more coming this way was presented. "Yeah, I think I saw an orange wolf heading this way actually."
At just that moment the same wolf that was just mentioned happened to slink through the doorway. He glanced at all of the dogs there, the Wolfhound in particular. "A Wolfhound wanting to be a ninja... Walaro chuckled to himself, Not something you're likely to see every day. Cool. The wolf worked his eyes away from the large dog and toward the three who held themselves like they ran things. "I bet you're all wanting to know names? I'm Walaro... and what might I call you three?"

As he neared the building, he felt the eyes of the female he passed by studying him. It did not bother him, however he was almost curious to know why she was studying him so hard. He was not of an important figure and if anything he was an old grouch who loved to play chicken with those who were unsure of themselves. Listening to the conversations from in front of them, he did not listen and chose to stay slient as he moved away from the others and remained standing for the time being looking around to know what would happen. But if he truly wanted to guess at things, and if he remembered corectly and well, Cry'Tal and the others would be tested and fitted to their rightfull place among the ranks. Snorting at the thought, he sat down and studied the others who had followed him in, acting as if he had been part of this gathering the entire time. So what if he was yet to be ranked, and so what of what may come. He was a much wiser dog than the others and they would come to learn that important fact about him. And yet other came in, a wolf who seemed to think things were just a joke around here. If anything was a joke it was the fact that he was overconfident in the power of the mind. Sitting proudly, he continued to study all around him. He remained silent, ignoring the fact the upper hands had asked a quiestion. Well if there was going to be a fight over that, then let there be a fight. It would not be the first time that he would have gotten in a fight with the leaders and it more than likely would not be his last. With one last huff, the Blackcat turned his head towards the sky and remained still afterwards. He was bored already and nothing had ever began.

The young female akita stayed standing for she wasn't going to be pushed around because she was a female. She stayed silent wanting to here everyone else speak. She would not give her name until all the males had addressed themselves first. She took a deep breath hoping for the next dog to speak. She glanced at each dog though she didn't expect a wolf to show up.Her muscle tensed up not trusting the dogs that had come but she knew she had to become trustful of the dogs who were accepted into this pack.Though it would be hard to open up but she was willing to do that only if they stayed loyal to the pack.

“Don't forget what Zehel said. He didn't expect many of them to already have skills and abilities, so don't test them too roughly," Kurogane reminded them. Raziel observed his beta scratch his ear and stare at him through the corner of his eyes. “We'll have to train a good portion of them.” He ceased his scratching and laid back down, flexing his paws.
"You mean, you'll have to train a good portion of them. Assuming that most of them are Koga dogs, it will be up to you guys to teach them all our traditional tactics. You both know well that I cannot do such moves anymore," Raziel stated with only a hint of sorrow in his voice. He did not regret saving Zehel from their cruel father, but without a tail... he was no longer the same ninja dog. His fighting was drastically different then Kurogane's or Zehel's, and even Fai's.
Soon enough, the visitors walked into the room, and Raziel was as pleasantly surprised as Fai. There were a good few of them of different breeds and sizes. Perhaps Raziel would have a hand in teaching after all....
It was with that thought that a light smile made its way to his face. Fai directed the newcomers to sit anywhere in the room. Raziel inwardly sighed. Fai was so... inaggressive. A very reliable beta, but too carefree at times. This was not the time to be completely hospitable. They were testing these dogs, not inviting them over for a free dinner. It didn't matter though, because the first dog, no... a wolf wandered in and introduced himself: "I bet you're all wanting to know names? I'm Walaro... and what might I call you three?"
Raziel stepped forward, his eyes gleaming in the pale light. This was a much better turn up then he'd ever expect. His little brother was going to be thrilled when he returned from his first assignment.
"I am Raziel, one of the Alpha Males of this pack. You may refer to me by my name or you may call me The Keeper Of Secrets. These two are my Betas, Kurogane and Fai. You'd all do yourselves well to memorize our names and ranks before we get started. I will not stand for any out of line behavior. Do I make myself clear?"
Raziel sternly glanced at each of the canines in the room. His gaze lingered on the female Akita for the longest, who looked more uptight then the rest of them, but he quickly went back to addressing the entire group.
"The other Alpha is my brother, Zehel. As of now he is absent," Raziel explained. Finally, the Alpha relaxed, his muscles loosening. It seemed that no one was here to be hostile, which was one of his concerns about sending the invitation throughout Japan. While the Koga clan had been great, they had also been questionable in their intentions back in the days of Gin and Akakabuto, and Raziel was sure at least one dog would turn up with foul intentions. He was extremely glad that he had been proven wrong by all the fine canines in front of him.
"I personally welcome you to the Koga lands," Raziel concluded, sending a glance of warmth and pride to the group. Zehel would be thrilled. Raziel was sure of it. "Please introduce yourselves."

On the other side she saw a wolf and an actual pure breed Koga Dog.Infornt of her stood a wolf hound. She had seen a great dane eariler as she traveled and though she stayed in the shadows she had offered him the chance to travel with her to the village of the Koga Ninja Dogs.He had refused and she went on her way she now walked forward and sat beside the wolfhound. The moon light from the window shined on her showing her burn mark.

A young wolf hybrid ran through the dark forest searching for the village in which the ninja dogs of koga lived. His black fur helped him blend in with the area,he soon had to stop to catch his breath,as he sat under a tree the scent of dogs came to his senses. He sniffed the air and still the smell remained but now a wolf came into the mix.He followed the scent to a large wooden fence. He saw building beyond the fence and only the scent of dogs and a wolf came from beyond the massive fence.
He walked a few steps to the right of the fence and there in the middle of the fence a large whole that could easily fit a wolf or a wolf hound through stood. He walked through the hole and put his nose to the ground and there was no doutb that he had found the village of koga.He soon walked through the ghost town and there in the middle of the village a large shadowing building stood.
The door was wide open,he entered not knowing what to expect though he didn't care at this moment. As the moonlight from a window shined through,a small group of dogs came into veiw now as his eyes began to ajust to the dim light.
Closest to the wall stood a female akita with light yellow and white pelt,a doberman pinscher sat beside her.In the middle stood another doberman pinscher from this doberman though he not seen this doberman's mussel he felt as though this doberman was truely strong and a wolf hound. To the left stood a pure breed koga ninja dog, then a wolf, from the looks of the wolf,he was huge. The young wolf hybrid walked forward and stood beside the wolf. The moonlight that came in shined upon the doberman who sat beside the wolf hound and there on her face a cresant moon burn mark was.As the moon shined on him a light blue swirl around his left eye showed and a red ninja symbol showed. His left eye was blue and his right eye was red.His right thigh had a light blue wolf paw on it.He wanted to hear what the others had to say before he spoke though he was late, the dog that stood infront of them all seem to be the leader though he wasn't sure.

Walking through the dark a young dark red and brown great dane male was.He had been looking for the village of Koga so that he could join their pack, but at this moment he was lost.He had encountered a young female doberman who had been looking for the koga ninja dogs as well. She had offered to help look for them and he had refused, for he wanted to find them on his own.
A young female german shepherd walked straight past the great dane not even stopping to help, she had seen a fence around some buildings eariler that day but had not stopped to see if it was the village of koga and now she was certain that the village was the koga village. She was heading there and she wasn't going to stop and help some male out.
The great dane noticed the german shepherd female and decided to follow her, though her hateful expression made him think otherwise but he still followed like a pup would.Soon the german shepherd and the great dane came to the fence, the she-dog jumped over the fence, the great dane decided to find an opening and if there was none then he would make one.
As he walked around he soon came upon an opening and went through,as he did the german shepherd went past a building, her head was low and from the distance that he stood from her,she seemed to be tense as though she was ready to fight.
The young german shepherd soon came to the center of the village and there stood a huge building with its doors open.As she entered her eyes adjusted to the dim moonlight that shone through a window. She had not expected to see other females but there near the wall stood a young female akita, infront of her sat a female doberman pinscher. The young female german shepherd walked forward and now stood beside the female akita."My name is Hiko, its an honor to meet the dogs of koga."Hiko had noticed the males but acted as though she didn't she wanted to prove that she just as strong as any male was.
The great dane slowly followed behind the young german shepherd for he didn't want to be attacked for following her.He walked in and saw her standing beside a young akita. His gaze then went to the young female doberman who he had meet and then refused. He lowered his head for being stupid, his gaze scanned the room and he saw a young male doberman pinscher,a young wolf hybrid,a wolf hound,a wolf, and a pure bred koga dog.Infront of all the dogs stood another wolf hybrid stood, his appearance was something else but now the dane looked at the young wolf hybrid and the one who stood infront of them all.The hybrid that stood beside the wolf "Are these to related in some way??"the dane thought. He shock his head as to refocus himself. He walked forward and sat on the other side of the wolf hound."My name is JB."the dane spoke in a calm tone.
