This … was bad. Very bad. A dog killing a human? It was like the news' headlines. Even if the man was just another jerk who made dogs fight each other, there was no such thing as 'heroes' among dogs. Not any more, not in these times. Legends and stuff were just fairy tales now, they weren't real. No one was going to praise a vigilante dog like they might a human. Of course the only witness was herself. And who'd believe her in this part of town? All the people in this city new was fighting dogs, anything else was just a stray to be used as target practice. Any passerby would only see a girl trapped in a corner surrounded by dogs, and one dog with blood on its maw. Not to mention the dead guy.
She flinched as the dog barked. By nature she was not afraid of dogs, she was more understanding than a lot of people when it came to animals. Part of it was just from her training he collie at her side. But this was a totally different scenario. For all she knew the dog would go for her next. ”This is bad! Dogs can't just kill people.” The border collie was calmer, but he knew this for what it was. Bad news.
All she had was a stick … and Rich, but still, that dog could be dangerous. She nearly jumped out of her skin as the dog in the alley began barking up a storm. Just what had she gotten herself trapped in the middle of? Whatever dogs said when they barked, she didn't know, but it seemed to subdue the blood letter. As a human she could only stare in confusion. The only thing she knew was that when that dog got out of the way she was getting the hell out of here. She'd get her phone and call an ambulance even though she knew it was too late for the guy. But that was all she was required as a citizen to do.
She dropped the debris in her hand as the dog began to slink away. Wrapping her companion's leash around her palm, she reached into her pocket for her phone. And just like that, it was like leaping out of the frying pan and into the fire. The alley darkened as a much larger dog strode into their path. Richter would yank free of his leash, standing guard in front of the girl. ”Stay back!” He'd fought for her before, he'd do it again. The dane's bark echoed down the alley. Fumbling for her phone, the girl quickly dialed an emergency number. ”Calm down Richi.” She'd already seen the collie hurt before, she didn't want to go through that again. Her thumb hovered over the dialing key. Two vicious dogs in one alley was too much for her to handle!

Sochimakai laughed deep in his throat and reared up, tucking his paws underneath him and throwing his head back before snapping it back and looking at the collie with triumphant hatred in his simmering green eyes. His maw snapped shut with lips drawn back to partially reveal fangs but the wrinked in his face gave the nasty impression he needed. Now he was focused on the collie.
Make me, PET! he snarled loudly. He noticed the girl reach for something within her clothing and gave another roaring bark whilst crashing down to the floor, paws splayed and claws digging into the ground. Body tense and eyes narrowed and blazing green fire, he was ready to run and pounce on the girl and her dog. He had no problem with taking down humans. He was the biggest dog breed on earth. Maybe not the heaviest but he still packed a punch.
Come on then mutt! COME ON! Or what? your little human is gonna call the dog killers on me. Oooh, I'm shaking. I've got scars from human killing dogs, I've killed humans, I'll take them all on. Bring it! he snarled and he mock charged them, just to see what they would do.

OoC;; Oooo, this is getting interesting! A voice came from behind the hybrid, as he saw a Great Dane appear what seemed out of thin air. Ramachandra's orbs widened with shock and slight horror, as he spoke. Though his words were friendly, actually supporting the male's action, there was just something about this pure-bred that Rama did not like. Though two inches shorter than the yellow brute, he seemed like a seasoned killer. Now-a-days the Great Dane wasn't known for being one to cause a blood spill, but 'Chandra had heard about those legends. Legends of evil. Legends that shaped the wolf hybrid the way he was now.
Emerald orbs stood frozen at the black and white dog, even after he had spoke. It seemed like the Girl had been much to terrified with what was going on and her friend had riled up the 'Dane. Shit if I don't do anything to prevent this fight, this truly will be all my fault! thought the hero as he looked at the new comer's stance. Every fiber of his body indicated that he meant business, business that Ramachandra had to dismiss.
"Hey, hey, hey!" The bright furred brute spoke, friendly as possible. He had walked between the crowd that was against the wall and the black & white harlequin male. "There's no need to fight. We all just had a misunderstanding". Though he seemed to direct the situation to clarity and goodness, the stench of blood and the red liquid seemed to diffuse any possible argument he had to stop the fight. He just seemed like a hypocrite.

Kumiko didn't mean to bark at the male, but there was no need to kill the human. She and the pups could've gotten away easily without killing the man. But now things were getting out of control. A black and white great dane now turned its gaze on the collie that Kumiko, Hokaku, and Kin had met along with his master. The yellow akita mix jumped foward standing between the dane and the collie; Richter. After hearing the bright male speak to them, she agreed with him, even though he was dripping with crimson. "I agree, there is no reason to fight." Yet the she-dog wasn't sure what would happen if there would be a fight.
Hokaku and Kin stode up beside the collie and grunted. They wanted to fight, but no matter how much they wanted to, the two mastiff mix pups knew that right now was not the time nor the place for it. A human had been killed and if they lingered in town much longer, other humans would start to notice. The two pups trotted over to the yellow female.
Metsubou had just been about ready to reveal himself when another black and white male great dane came into the scene. He didn't expect to see another canine but there he was. Watching his muscles tense and ready himself for a fight, Metsu couldn't control the eger to attack the male who would put her friends in danger. The tall black and white dane trotted over to the mastiff pups. "You lot look like you could use some help." He laughed evily at Kumiko and the other canines.

She stepped back, placing her phone to her ear and speaking into it. If the dogs had all been peaceful she wouldn’t' have minded being in such close proximity to them. After all … she liked dogs. But she was still only human and seeing a dog brutally kill another human being gave her reason to fear her own life. And that of her own companion too. ”Vicious dog attack … Killed a man. Now another's appearance. Feral. Unsafe.” She spoke quickly to the operator on the other end of the line, gave her general location, of course it would take time for anyone to show up. Her voice drowned out by the dogs' barking. She'd lost hold of the collie's leash, and there was no way for her to pick it up again. It wasn't as if she could pick up her dog and run anyways, and there was no way for her to escape this alley. A pretty sorry situation she'd gotten herself stuck in. The phone blinked of, she'd lost her signal. But at least she'd gotten the call out. ”Stay back Rich.” For all she knew the dog could even be rabid. Even if it wasn't slobbering and stumbling over itself. Still, ordinarily a stray dog would not just attack humans. Crouching in the alley, she picked up a discarded piece of metal. It was all she had, being devoid of claws and fangs.
”Oh don't tempt me!” Of course, he was mostly talk. He was no pit fighter and had never lived a harsh life on the streets. Yes, he was a pet. But he was loyal to the end and he would fight over a thousand dogs if they threatened any harm to his people! ”She's not like them. You'll leave her alone or-” The human killing dog had appeared again, stepping between the Dane and the collie. He seemed the lesser of two evils by this point and Richter knew it. But he didn't trust the guy as far as he could throw him and that wasn't very far. He remained in a crouched and defensive position, preparing himself to do whatever it took. ”I don't want to fight. But I won't let anyone lay a fang on my girl!”

Things happened quickly. Kai was about to launch himself at the pet, the dog he had called back stepped in front of him, another dane appeared from the shadows, the akita female also stood in the way of his attack and the human had called someone. None of the dogs worried him, it was what that human had just said. He wasn't going to loose his life to some stupid human. Not now. He looked at the hybrid in front of him and raised one eyebrow.
And its about to get a whole lot worse, mate. That human has just called someone and from what I heard, those guys will be out to get all of us. I'm not just speaking for myself here, but I think it's time to go. he said in a low voice, he was looking past the Hybrid and those two standing in his way and looking straight at the collie. He would have his revenge. He now noticed the pups but disregarded them. He would kill anything and anyone, if the time was right, and the time was so NOT right. He took one step backwards and stood straighter, his ears forward and dominant. His vopice was deep and scathing.
Shut the fuck up, pet. If any of us decided to attack you wouldn't be able to do jackshit. You're lucky that you've got humans on your side. They'd happily kill us so I think you can understand why I'm happily to let this..."killing" slide. It's justice, in my eyes. Don't threaten Dogs that are out of your league. he finished. Kai was edgy now, only because he knew that the humans were on their way. He looked at the pups again and then at the female.
I'm leaving. I suggest you you as well, with your pups. I don't fancy being shot or electricuted. I think we can all agree, we're all a little young to die, eh? he chuckled at the end before turning and diving down an alleyway, waving his way breifly to ask the hybrid to follow him. There had been no dogs behind Kai, so he was free to leave. He wasn't going to though. He had a plan and he took two turns down the dark alleys and waited....

Kumiko looked at the pups and then at Metsubou. She didn't know him, but once the pups looked at him and started to growl, she knew that he wasn't a friend, but she did want to thank him for him showing up when he did. Otherwise there would be a fight. "Hokaku, Kin we have to go. You dane, thank you but I don't trust you. I don't think these pups trust you either." Metsu smirked, he knew why. "I don't blame you and the pups for not trusting me. But seeing as how you thanked me, you can do me a favor and take me to their alphas." This was his only chance to get into Lyca's territory, he only hoped it would work.
Kumiko stared at the male and snarled at him. "Fine, but you do anything to harm these pups and I'll kill you. We're not leaving just yet, though." The she-dog looked over at the collie and his girl. "Rich is it? Please accept my appalige for getting you and your human into danger. I don't trust that male that just left, you and your girl should head home. The pups and I will stick around for a little while longer, to make sure that the male doesn't try to attack you. Its my way of making sure you don't get hurt. After all it is kind of my fault and all." The two pups agreed with Kumiko on scouting the town out, but they didn't agree with her on letting the black and white dane go to their alphas.

As the scene began to unfold, Ramachandra found himself seeing things in "fast-forward". It seemed as if the human girl dialed for help; and her dogie friend held his ground as she did so. The Great Dane, though great in size, seemed to prove to the others that his mind was just as big. He withdrew himself from any possible bloodshed, as he feared the humans would grab his pelt and slaughter him in plain view..At least that is what Ramachandra believed. Yes, this yellow brute new what the superior race was capable, and quite frankly he seemed to always steer clear from those bastards. It wasn't that he hated them or even had any kind of affair with them, it was just that he was not as dumb as he seemed.
However right as the black and white spoke his good-bye "speech", he waved Rama to follow him. Odd he thought, but even if this dog wanted to start something Rama had the body to put up a good fight. So, like the brave-head he was he followed. He did not need to say "adios" to the crowd, as he knew he was never in good terms with them. So he just trotted out of that nasty alley way and right into one that the Dane was in.
"You wanted me to follow you?..

The collie would not rise to the dane's taunts. He knew the humans better, he knew he did! Richter had met many and only ones like the dead man now were bad. Most others were of no harm to them, especially not his human. He merely growled his disagreement, showing pearly white fangs and standing his ground despite being of smaller breed. Richter would still flight, all of them if he had to. He didn't care, he wouldn't let them touch her. As dog protected his pack he would protect them, the humans were his pack all the same.
Finally the bloodthirsty Dane left without a fight, not until he was gone and his scent fading from the area did the collie relax even the slightest. The girl seemed visibly relieved however. She grabbed Richter's leash, kneeling beside him and shaking his furry head. ”You dumb beast. What do you think you're doing, trying to take on that monster?” But her words were filled with kindness, as she hugged his furry neck. ”You quit that now. I won't see you hurt because of me.”
She frowned, before rising to her feet again. ”Sorry pups, you lot need to get out of here. Go on, shoo.” She waved her hands a bit, but didn't threaten the strays. Knowing nothing of their talk of packs and territories, she just wanted the innocent ones out of here before the police showed up. ”He's wrong. You know. My girl wouldn't let them hurt anyone innocent.” Richter nodded, he had faith in his person.
But it was time to go, and he took the girl's sleeve in his teeth to hurry her along. ”Thank you. Goodbye. Maybe we'll meet again some time.” He didn't want to announce it here, in case that Dane was listening, but Richter had a tendency to roam. ”OK ok. Let's go.” And with that the two departed, Richter to get the girl out of trouble and the girl to keep the authorities at bay until those other dogs had gone.

Kumiko looked at the pups and the great dane. "Let's get going." She ran down the street heading for the forest. Kin and Hokaku followed with Metsubou on their tail. As they all reached the edge of the forest Kumiko stopped and looked back at the village. There was no way she would leave this village without knowing for a fact that, that dane was gone and could do no harm to the collie and his girl. She faced the two pups and the black and white dane.
"Hokaku, go back to Lyca and tell her that I need at least three other canines to help me keep an eye on that dane we saw." The yellow and white akita mix looked up at the tall dog, "Metsubou was it? You will stay here with me and the other pup. Seeing as how the pups don't trust you, neither will I. You had better stay close and later after you help us, we'll take you to see Lyca." Kumiko promised the male, knowing that Lyca would more than likely want the male to leave, but she needed all the help she could get at the moment.

Sochimakai watched them all leave from the shadows, his eyes narrowed in bitter hatred. He would have his revenge. He disliked the lot of them. pack dogs, too fuckin' cocky for their own good. He growled down in his throat and then started to plot.
His plots were disrupted as that huge dog padded upto him. he regarded him with a level yet kind stare. But Kai could never look kind, not completely. He was a man killer and partially cannibal. He wanted his meat. He sat down and tilted his head.
Heyup. The name's Sochimakai. Just to say I was one hundred percent behind you then. Jsut in case you wanted revenge on that pet and his pathetic human. I'm with you. Since I would also like to get revenge. Humans. I hate them. the last part was more muttered to himself.

Ramachandra stood quietly as the pure bred spoke. He was planning to seek vengeance on the group of dogs and human from before. The yellow dog's eyes widened from their sockets. "What?!" es claimed Rama, quiet loud for the close proximity the couple were in. "No, no, no. You got the wrong guy!" shaking his head he couldn't believe his black ears. How could he follow this murderer without an ounce of hesitation? Has he grown stupid?!
From that moment on, a cape of shame and disappointed covered the mutt. He would not follow this Oreo colored brute, anywhere. And how much he wished he had a friend during these lonely, cold, days. Oh well, nothing will ever replace his passion for justice. His emerald-green orbs stared into his company's very own eyes. They had a confused look with a hint of fire in them. He wasn't what he had expected.

Kai laughed and partially reared up, but not in a threating way. His tail waved behind him. Waved, not wagged. He wasn't playful or postive or anything that wagging your tail stood for. He rolled his shoulders and sniffed.
Alright, alright! No need to have a panic attack. You're the one who killed a human in the first place. No worries. I'll be on my way. Oh one word of advice. he saiod whilst weaving around the brute to go on his way. Head for the Southern Alps. I'm not sure who rules it now, but I believe that you're looking for a pack. The Dark Faith Pack might be able to accomidate you. he contonued smoothyl.
Sochimakai sniffed the ground breifly, and then the air, to see if the collies scent was still around. It was, faintly. He looked over his shoulder and waved his tail again, in a relaxed, confident manner.
Now excuse me, I need to and find the nearest fighting ring. he finished and laughed darkly, trotting off down the alley they had just come down. Again, he sniffed the ground and then looked around. No-one was here and by the scent, the collie and his human had taken off in a totally different direction to the other dogs. He took off after the pet and his human...

Just as they arrived at the next alley, the screeching of car brakes heralded the arrival of the authorities. Keeping Richter on a tight leash so the cops would not get the wrong idea, she waved the uniformed officers down. From there it was a blur of activity and chaos. An ambulance came and went, picking up the dead man and loading him up. It was obvious that there was nothing they could do for him, but humans didn't just leave their dead laying where they fell. She described the man killing dog and the threatening dane to the police, and they promised to search for the killer dog. But in this town, this type of place with all these fighting rings, Ci was not so hopeful. Finally things calmed down, the officers went their own ways, telling her to just go home. With a sigh she nodded and agreed.
””Well that was a whole lot of trouble for nothing. Let's go Rich.” The collie slowly wagged his tail, looking up into the girl's eyes. He could tell she was not happy with the lack of responsibility in their local law enforcement. But what could they do? Giving a bark, he started heading towards their hotel. Sticking to the sidewalks and out of the alleys, the pair began their journey back. Richter kept an ear tuned in to their surroundings, but the girl had little clue that their troubles were far from over.
))If this topic goes on to more conflict, I'll be bringing in another dog (Gideon) and a human NPC. I was going to have the lurcher intervene earlier, but didn’t the chance. Just an FYI. ((
