The sacred shrine of the stars, nestled nicely in the far corners of the Southern Alps, surrounded on all sides by tall mountains and cliff faces or by thick groves of pine trees and forest. On one edge of the small circular clearing rests a fairly sharp, rocky hill with a long line of steps carved out of the front, leading up to a tall wooden gate and, beyond that, the mouth of a cave. A cave lit with sacred candles and a cave that hides Japan's most powerful secrets.

A large part of Japan, if not most of it, is covered in dense forest and woodlands, particularly as you move north toward Tohoku. Often, they are crisscrossed with roads so, here, humans and animals cross paths quite frequently.

Since Japan is a rather old country with a large foundation in agricultural goods, there are many abandoned buildings to be found all over. One in particular is a farm about half way between the northern and southern portions of the main island, somewhere in the Yamagata prefecture. It is the perfect rest stop when making long trips, even though there are no longer animals to prey upon here. The barn makes a good shelter and occasionally, food can be dug out of the old, busted farm house.

The alps once partially owned by the infamous Hougen, are a massive mountain range that basically cut the island of Honshu in half, meaning they are frequently crossed when creatures travel. The central portion is the easiest to cross, with many of the peaks spaced widely, creating massive gorges and valleys, as well as massive cliffhangers and falls. It is recommended that you watch your footing.

Tokyo, by far the most famous city in Japan, is not a place for wild dogs. Humans inhabit the buildings like vermin and, while a clever stray can eek out a living begging for scraps, it's a difficult sort of life without a collar or a loving home. However, Tokyo also has lots of suburbs, where hunting dogs are trained to be warriors and wild animals can wander in and out at leisure, without worrying about the traffic or other man-made dangers of the downtown Tokyo area.

Shirahama is a small town on the coast of Honshu, a long, hard but possible swim from the island of Shikoku. This town is known mostly for its beaches and harbors, as well as what appears to be an abandoned ship, which provides good shelter to stray dogs. But it's main attraction are by far the clear, white sandy beaches where fish are plentiful and man and animal live together in peace. Because the town is small, they tend to welcome wild dogs and are often fairly helpful when food is scarce, often feeding dogs who help them fish or hunt rabbits and mice in the surrounding fields.

Shikoku is a sizable island just south of Honshu. Swimmable distance, actually, and home of the country's greatest fighting dogs. Whole festivals are held in their honor and all day, and all night, dogs and other animals are pitted against each other. Winners are honored like kings, losers are used as bait and chewed until they are unrecognizable. Some of the greatest dogs in the world can be found on this island.

Another glorious land in Japan, Kai is actually the name of a large city, but this particular terra consists primarily of the woodlands and mountains around the city, away from the humans. It is the breeding ground and homeland of the honorable Kai brothers and is guarded fiercely both by the pack that presided here and by the giant boars that roam the country side.

Nestled bellow the Southern Alps, Roedor Valley is a relatively small territory. A small stream runs between the Alps and the Valley marking the boundary. The valley is very green and well sheltered from storms and snow from the tall pine trees growing off the sides of the rocky cliffs. Between the sparsely placed tree trunks are flat grassy patches were enough soil has formed for rabbits to live. Above the grass patches are jagged rocks hiding small dens.

A desolate desert-like land. The ground is parched and littered with the whispers of unlucky travelers, only their bones left to wither. The land is fed souly by the one river than streaks through it though the river itself has a deadly pull. Shade is found in the mesas of the mini-desert and the dark tunnels of unknown creatures. This is no place for the faint of heart.

This territory varies throughout its whole, a large, deep rock canyon borders the territory, blood from travelers, trespassers, and prey alike stain its walls and floor from their failed attempts at crossing. Beside it, a sparse forest. made up of barren earth that causes many of the trees to be dead and fallen, as well as a lower valley that provides more cover and food for prey. This area is prone to climate changes ranging widely from unbearable heat and rain storms to snow and flash floods, and is protected by a misunderstood pack that can be as unpredictable as their territories weather patterns. The dogs here may not be well known, but mix business with them and they will be sure to make their intentions known.

A strongly forested land, where the den rests in a cave above a huge, gray cliff. A wide slope of rock and dirt leads into the forest to the East, South and West, while the grass plain is North, both below and infront of the den. After miles of tall grass, a wide river marks the end of the North territory, the cherry blossom grove marks the end of the east territory, the mountains are the end of the Southern territory and the east is marked by another cliff leading to a small village.

Gin's famous paradise, Ohu serves more as a paradise as opposed to an actual land or terra. Almost all dogs are welcome into its midsts, many coming just to view the beautiful Futago pass where the incredible battle with the giant bear Akakabuto came to an end. Though its grasses grow off the blood of too many fallen, the air sings the song of glorious victory and the successes of righteousness and justice. It is a glorious place to live, located in northern Japan, in the Tohoku region. Quite a few days worth of running away from both the Southern Alps and Kai.
Recently a new dog has claimed these lands as a rebirthing place for the new Soldier of Ohu.

Once the home of the great dane brothers Hougen and Genba and their massive blood-thirsty army, these lands are littered with blood, battles and lost spirits, wandering the land to avoid being sent to their fiery fates in hell. Few dare to set foot in here any longer, fearing another tyrant like Hougen will rise again and ignoring the numerous villages and cities available to pillage within the massive territory, located near the center of Japan's main island of Honshu, primarily in the Nagano prefecture.

The land of Sanguine Hollows is like no other. It's off in a very remote area where humans do not inhabit it. Sections of it is located in a pit like area, where two mountains lay on both sides of it. The air is quite foggy and misty, slightly impairing the vision of those who are not use to these conditions. The fog is thicker on the outskirts of this spooky territory.
The territory has several river chambers which all connect to form a pretty steep and dangerous cascade. A lot of prey are usually seen in this particular area, animals like; deer, boar, rodents, and birds.

A tree filled old war zone, once fought over by the two Ninja clans of Iga and Koga. Due to the old stories of these bloody battles, few dare to live or even tread here, fearing that these two clans are still at war – wishing not to be dragged into it. Blood that has once drenched this land has made it pure, luscious and beautiful, now filled with life and peace. The Iga clan is long gone, their village with them, but the Koga still remain, and are attempting a comeback.

The second-highest peak in western Japan is located nearby. The closest towns are Tsurugi which is close to the East Iys Valley. East Iya is still relatively difficult to access, and thus the natural beauty is largely undisturbed. Several vine bridges, once the only method for crossing the rivers, continue to span the valleys and have become a popular tourist attraction.

You may, at any time, give up an old character should they begin to bore or annoy you. Any similarly bored members are free to then pick those characters up and play them as their own.

Should you be a desperate person or have a particular plot in mind, you may post here to request a mate for a particular character. This method will skip all sorts of courtship and normal mate-earning rituals and pretty much provides a short cut to bypass all that and get you a mate instantly.

Personal plots for your characters, and the characters of others, to participate in. They do not have to be related to the site's main plot but also should not clash with it.

To keep track of all of your characters and the threads that they're in, I recommend keeping a character tracking thread. Every member gets one thread and, in it, you are to record information about all of your characters and their love lives, the location of their bios, any plots they are involved with and other such nonsense.

A place for the staff to post updates and other sorts of modifications to the forum. It's also the location of all staff happenings.
