- The Basics -
Name: Natallie Meaning: Variation of the name ‘Natalie’ which means birthday. Specifically it refers to the birthday of Christ or Christmas. Nicknames: She doesn’t have any nicknames that she offers others to call her, though some of her friends have called her Natty in the past and she would gladly allow her loved ones to give her pet names as they wish. On the other hand, she feels nicknames should only be used by those close to her and that strangers should give her the respect of calling her by her full name until they get to know her some. Description: Natallie is a black and white Border Collie. She has a black ‘mask’ that covers her head and stops where her head meets her neck. The end half of her muzzle is white and a white stripe on her head connects to the muzzle spot. The tip of her left ear is dipped white; the right ear is solid black. Both ears are folded over at about halfway. Her nose is leathery and black and her eyes are glassy blue. Her toes are black as well as a massive spot that starts at the base of her neck and covers most of her midsection as well as her hind flanks and all but the tip of her tail. Her paw pads and inner ears are pink. She has short dark gray claws and average sized teeth.
Her fur is exceptionally long and soft; it’s fuzziest on the neck, tail, underbelly, and backside of her legs. Her build is elegant, thin, and delicate. Her legs are the most muscular part of her body, but even then the muscle is hidden and smooth beneath her pelt. All her curves are gentle and beautiful.

Accessories: none Scars: none
Other Information: Natallie has no preference of gender in a mate but does wish for someone physically strong and protective; but still able to be kind and give her the love and affection she wants. She has no real desire for pups, like any female she has a soft spot for them, just no real drive to get her own litter. Though Natallie is rather nonviolent herself, that doesn’t mean she shuns fighting and those who enjoy it. In fact, those more skilled in battle impress her over those that are not so skilled.
- Personality -
Physical Aspects: »Is your character physically stronger than the average member of his/her species? No »Is your character faster and/or more agile than the average member of his/her species? Yes »Is your character more attractive (handsome/beautiful) than the average member of his/her species? Yes »Has your character had any specific training or other type of experience with fighting, and is therefore quite knowledgeable in the subject? No »Does your character have any weapons (including particularly sharp teeth or claws) they can wield in battle? No »Is your character immune to or capable of ignoring pain or other sorts of physical ailments when in the heat of battle? Yes
Natallie is not incredibly strong, she lacks a little in that area. Her teeth and claws aren’t usually anything to fear. However, her speed and agility are incredible. Though her breed is already good in these areas, she excels here. The majority of her power is in her legs; running and jumping are definitely her strong points. Fighting, on the other hand, is a place where she lacks. Natallie isn’t particularly brave or aggressive; in fact, she’s quite the opposite. The only thing that keeps around in frightening situations is her curiosity, which often overrides her fear. As for aggression, it just isn’t there. She’s incredibly friendly and non-hostile. She’d rather run from a fight than bare her teeth. However, her looks may be something to distract you. She has an exceptionally soft pelt that shimmers beautifully in light. Her slender, delicate, and elegant build is also considered attractive.
Mental Aspects: »Is your character more knowledgeable/intelligent than most creatures of the same species and age? Yes »Does your character learn new things and tasks quickly and more easily than most creatures of the same species and age? No »Is your character successful at remembering new tasks, concepts, commands and/or locations without extensive repetition? Yes »Is your character capable of taking advice and learning from others around him/her? Yes »Does your character pay close or otherwise extensive attention to their environment or surroundings? No »Does your character have any senses that are keener/more accurate to use than the average member of his/her species (this includes magic and fighting techniques such as nature sensitivity and Bat's mind's eye)? No
Intelligence is somewhere she doesn’t lack; Natallie is good at thinking things through before rushing into a situation, but she’s also quick on her feet. Her mind can work fast as well as take time and think things over. She’s a quick learner, on top of that, and can learn new commands, tasks, and concepts without being reminded over and over again. Natallie also isn’t afraid to ask for advice or listen to what others have to say to her. She doesn’t take it offensively to be corrected, she assumes whoever corrected her is just trying to help. Though she is rather smart, she doesn’t have any extraordinary senses or magic.
Social Aspects: »Does your character typically get along with others? Yes »Is your character friendly or otherwise very welcoming of other creatures/strangers? Yes »Is your character caring, compassionate or otherwise concerned for the well-being of others? No »Is your character generally accepted by the majority of his/her species/society (as opposed to being ostracized because of the way they look or something they've done)? Yes »Does your character handle stressful or otherwise testing situations in a calm, or otherwise pleasant manner (as opposed to either growing ridiculously nervous, anxious or angry)? No »Is your character happy with their life so far and the choices they've made up to this point(as opposed to being traumatized, bitter or emotionally unstable as a result of past happenings)? Yes
Natallie is a friendly dog, incredibly approachable and willing to talk to anyone. But she still generally puts her own well being above others; with an exception of her closest friends and family. That doesn’t mean she would stand by and watch as another is slaughtered, but she wouldn’t jump into a battle that she wasn’t likely to win for just anyone. She is decent in stressful situations, but sometimes thinks on the situation at hand a bit too much and manages to make herself nervous or anxious. Of course, it depends on the level of stress caused by the situation as to how she’d react, though.
-----------------------
General Description: Perhaps the first thing you will notice is that she is friendly and pretty social. She enjoys being around others but doesn’t dislike having a moment alone sometimes. She is incredibly tolerant; hard to annoy or anger. She has a very submissive personality and could never be a leader because of this; she’d rather obey commands than give them. Natallie has a low self-confidence but manages to act like she doesn’t doubt herself. Though she nice and pleasant to be around, she isn’t very compassionate. She’ll gladly listen to another’s sad stories but she’s more likely to simply try to raise your mood rather than dwell on the subject and bathe you in pity. Natallie is a loyal friend, and incredibly trustworthy. But even for those who open to her, you can’t expect her to do the same. She has trust issues since the day her people abandoned her. She may treat you like a close friend or a loved one, but in the long run there are only a select few she’d stick with to the end.
-----------------------
Strengths: Natallie is very patient; she has no problems with waiting or delay. As stated above in her personality, she is very friendly and intelligent. She is always willing to listen to others and not afraid to ask her companions for advice. She isn’t easily angered, and very rarely blinded by rage. She has high stamina and can endure a lot of pain.
Weaknesses: She doesn't have much experience fighting and is seriously lacking in physical strength. The majority of her muscle is in her legs, but that doesn’t make her very sturdy. In fact, Natallie is pretty easily knocked over. She isn’t very willing to trust others and has an incredibly low self confidence from the early months of her life when her father would talk down to her and her siblings and after being abandoned she assumed she just wasn’t very good. She has no leadership skills and her thin bones make her pretty fragile; and because she knows she’s pretty breakable she is easily intimidated by any animal with strong jaws.
- Other Information -
History: Natallie doesn’t have a very eventful or long history, but what she does have she isn’t afraid to share. Though she finds it tragic in its own way she’s come to accept that her past is a part of her. She’s open to talk about it if you’re curious, but she generally doesn’t bring it up on her own.
It was a sunny, beautiful day when her mother’s litter was due. She lay in the barn on a soft pallet of hay that the humans had so nicely prepared for the pregnant female. She gave birth to a litter of six, average for a dog of her breed. However, one died shortly after being born and two others were born ill and with serious defects. Natallie’s mom had always been kind towards humans, when children reached into her food bowl she never snapped at them and she never fought her master’s commands, she even sat still as the vet would poke and prod at her.
However, when the vet came to examine the sick puppies and make sure the ones that appeared healthy were truly okay something snapped inside her. As the vet reached to take one of her litter she bit his hand. Her master quickly grabbed a leash but as he went to put it around her neck she snarled and attacked him. Natallie’s mother killed two humans that day… and when the mistress found her dead husband and the vet in the barn along with an unhappy mother dog and now only three puppies she immediately called animal control.
When they got there the mother dog was no more eager to let them handle her or her puppies, she snapped and snarled at them…but they remained calm. Her teeth couldn’t penetrate the suits they wore and finally they had to shoot her with a tranquilizer so that they could get the bodies and the pups out of that barn. After further examination of the dog they realized there was nothing wrong, she was just a bit over protective of her pups; and after seeing how dangerous this could be they declared that she had to be put to sleep. The mistress was quick to agree to this, but she still wondered what would become of the pups.
They were brought back to the farm; they got to live with their father for a couple of weeks. But he demanded that they do more than they could, he would steal their food and was quite abusive both physically and emotionally to the pups. This knocked off another of the little dogs and left only two of them. When their owner realized what was happening she had the puppies’ father put down and decided to sell them off. She had the last two thoroughly examined and was told they were perfect for their breed.
The day they were sold was the last day those two pups saw each other. Natallie was sold to a nice family at roughly six months old and her sister was sold to a farmer and would likely end up as a sheep herder. Natallie was named and brought home to be a family pet. The people had lots of land, including a pond where a flock of geese lived and a forest. She had a great time on their property exploring every inch of the yard and house.
One day she was wandering the house and realized something was different, the people had packed everything into boxes. She found them loading the boxes into a truck and the next day they left. She chased their car down to the end of the road, but something inside of her knew she’d been abandoned. They weren’t coming back for her. Natallie knew she could never trust people again so she ran away to nowhere in particular.
All hope was not lost though. The beatings her father had given her for the first few months of her life had given her a bit of practice at fighting. She’d taught herself to hunt in the forest and at the goose pond, and she was incredibly quick. Surely she could survive as a stray.
