This idea was suggested by Shadow, and I'll go ahead and quote them what it is;
"There was a part of the first forum I was on that was literally like a "Role Playing School". Basically, there are several "teachers" and they review posts that are put there by other players and tell them how they could make them better.
I'll give an example in case it doesn't make sense:
Let's say, I'm a "teacher." In the board there would be a thread called "Shadow The Smiffster's 'School'". In that thread, you repost a post you made on another, actual RP thread. I then respond with what was good, and what could be improved.
So its kind of like peer editing in a way. "
Do you think this is a Good Idea? As of now, Staff and Shadow would be the Peer Editors, but if more advanced Rp'ers show up and wish to volunteer their time, they can join in as well.

Hmm... it doesn't sound like a bad idea. ^_^
Do you need any others, or are you good with the amount of teachers you have?

I'm the one who told you to PM Klo and ASK, so there *sticks tongue out*
*shrugs* Perhaps, but if it's a "school" advanced RPers should be the ones whom are teaching, since we're offering to help others improve their skills and such.

I must agree with the masses. Rping is much more fun with more details so as to know what is going on. If its a short bland post, its not much fun to respond to.

I'm with everyone else, this sounds like an awesome idea I'd love to help teach, though i do have a question: How do we establish the 'teachers'? Like should people just volunteer and the admins (or shadow + those who helped with the idea ) go through some of their past posts (they could provide links to a few threads/posts they consider their best) and establish if they are right for the job. Or should that be done on a grander scale and those we feel are more advanced rpers are offered the teaching job(s)?

LOL, thank you mercy <3 *dying laughing*
Well, from what I'm understanding, I think it would be staff/advanced RPers doing the "teaching" on a volunteering basis. Providing examples would be a good idea too, most definitely.
The whole idea is getting people on the site to post longer, more detailed and interesting posts. So multiple "teachers", giving their opinions to the user posting at this "school" would be better to give them more ideas, etc.
Perhaps making a whole board for this would be a good idea, that way each user wanting to obtain help can start their own thread, that way they can get personalized tips, criticism, etc and not be distracted by others, or get a mix up. (just an idea)

Yeah, a board makes the most sense. Perhaps there can be seperate sections for "Beginner" "Intermediate" and "Advanced" RPers too.
But yeah, my idea was a volunteer basis type thing. Though yes, the "Advanced" players and staff should be the ones teaching. Maybe the forum can vote on teachers, and then we can switch it up every few months or something?
EDIT: DX, people voted against it. *tear drops*
Lol, just kidding. *shrugs*

I dunno if mixing up the teachers would be a good idea. One solid team of volunteers would be a good idea in my opinion, we can then all work together to help the users out and remain consistent then.
Not saying that we cant allow new volunteers or anything, just.... Ok, I'm getting lost in my own words T-T
Does anyone understand my point?
having subforums for each level is good too, even we advanced RPers need help sometimes xD
*Pets shadow* We still love you, even though two people don't, *pokes two votes* >>

Oh sob, i feel so unloved. xD. *pokes those two votes too*
and hm, one solid group might work, but we should definitely give others a chance. the reason i say mix it up is so it doesn't get overcrowded with teachers and whatnot.

Well, if the "staff" ever gets that big, than yes, lol.
Perhaps we can make a sign up sheet or something, then make a "schedual" and have some members on one subforum, and some on the second and some on the third one month, and just rotate from there, like move up or down a forum.
