A young german shepherd dog lays in a hollow log covered with moss and fuges. Her black face and light tan pelt stayed in the shadows of the hollow logs. She stared out into the bright colors of the day thinking of her past that is if she could remember it.Her thoughts stayed on her memories that she had lost but soon she left the hollow log to hunt for food. She only was that she was a warrior. She got to her paws and placed her nose to the ground and began to sniff the ground looking for a trail of something that she could eat.She picks up the scent of a rabbit. She tracks the trail to a small warren and she begins to dig wanting the rabbit. She soon sticks her head into the warren and sinks her fangs into a fat rabbit that was digging into the sides of the warren making it bigger for it to move around. The sound of something breaking filled her ears. She had broken the rabbits back. She came of the warren with the rabbit in her jaws. She slowly trotted back to her hollow log and laid inside as she began to devour the massive rabbit that she had caught. She was hoping that something would come to her and help her remember who she was.She prayed for it and wanted it so bad that she would die if only she could find out her past.

CARPATHIAN
The light of day was a welcoming sight for the dark furred wolf now moving through the shadows of the forest. Often shafts of light would burrow through the leaves and light his pelt a golden tan. More often than that did the light find its way through the leaves to lay itself upon the broad sword the wolf carried on his back. Carpathian raised his head, scenting for anything and scenting everything. Amoung them he scented dog. The scent was concentrated so he suspected whoever it was had been there a while and could probably hear, or even see, his approach depending on where they hid. "My dear blade it seems we've found some company amid the silence..." He whispered more to himself than the sword he had addressed. Finally, amoung the brilliant shades of greens and yellows he spotted a large, fallen log. It's shell was still thick and hard, but he was sure the belly of it had rotted out. A cave of dying flesh. Along with the smell of rotten wood and dog there was a hint of blood. As far as Carpathian knew the territory was unclaimed so he guessed there was no reason not to hunt, even if it was a dead give away to one's location. The massive brute considered wielding the great sword that bore down on his shoulders, but, not it the mood to fight, he approached unarmed. "Good afternoon, anybody home?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu looked out of the hollow log and saw the massive wolf. She didn't want to fight at this moment."Who are you?"Lulu asked without giving a hint that she was dangerous when deep inside her she knew that she was.She had no interest in fighting anyone until her memories returned but she had no other choice then she wouldn't hesistate to attack and kill her opponet. She tensed her muscle ready to jump out of the hollow log that for now was her home. She had forgotten to cover the scent of the rabbits blood. She got to her paws and came from the shadows of the hollow log and stood firm and ready for a fight. The huge blade that the wolf carried made her even more uneasy. She had heard of dogs and other animals who had carried weapons such as swords but never really seen one.She wasn't going to faulter or give in to any animal who opposed her.

There it- she. There she was. He had been right about the log, it was hollowed out and the shepherd fae had been taking home in it. He smiled at her stance. "I'm not here to fight, hun. Calm down." Carpathian's lips pulled into a cheery smile before he parted his jaws. In one sweeping movement he raised his fangs to grip the handle of the sword and whipped it off his back and into the nearest tree's side. With a streach he sat down near the now suspended blade. "The name's Carpathian." He grinned warmly, but was careful to keep an eye on her behaviors. The brute was sure she wouldn't attack unless he tempted her too. Plus, he'd yet to meet a dog, or wolf, who launched straight at another creature his size. Despite the warm expression and pink eyes and markings, his thick pelt gave him a look fitting a bear. His keen eyes traced the lines of her body and from the single look he could tell she was quite the fighter. There were no scars like the one on his flank, but there was layer after layer of muscle hidden under her fur. This dog was no lightweight and he didn't dare treat her as such, sword or not. Lulu didn't trust this wolf for something of his massive appearance made her smooth pelt stand on edge. She stared at the wolf and then his sword, which he had went into the tree."My name is Lulu. Why are you here?"Lulu asked as she bared her teeth taking no chances with the wolf. She stayed in her position though she hadn't thought of the fact that he may attack her.She relaxed her now stiff body and sat down. She wasn't sure what to do as her mind went back to her past. She wanted so badly to remember but soon her mind came to and she was focused on the wolf that now near the tree with his blade in the trunk. She took a deep breath and stared at him.

Carpathian let out a slight growl of frustration at her current attitude. You'd think someone saying they came in peace and then sunk their sword three inches into a tree would get the message across. Then again he couldn't blame her. These times were dark times and hard times for all except the ones that made them like this. His mind drifted sourly to the packs in their turmoil, not to far from the forest they current conversed in. Finally she relaxed and he decided he'd answer somewhat truthfully. "Pretty name. As to what I'm doing here... simply traveling and training. The way of the sword is not a static one!"He smirked suddenly, "I was passing through and scented someone. It's been a while since I've had a conversation with anyone so I followed. I was expecting someone else, but... I do hope you don't mind me taking up your time?" Another charming smile graced itself across his lips, the muscles in his face scrunching up his eyes slightly. He had been expecting someone else. The great wolf had been tracking down some old packmates of his and when he smelled another... but alas it had not been. Despite the let down he was glad to talk to another, even if she was stuck on acting sttuborn. Carp didn't mind. Before it had been just his beloved sword to talk to, anything with a beating heart and sentiet mind was good enough for him. Echoes of the past washed over him for a moment, the cries of war, of the betrayal he did upon his father, and the old warmth of being apart of a pack. Carpathian returned his gaze to Lulu and shoved down the old feelings. He was a loner now... and one with a mission. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu kenw that her actions were uncalled for but though she deep down enjoyed talking to another. She sighed sadly and took a deep breath as to relax her muscles even more."Please forgive my behavior.I haven't talked to another for some time and I am consteantly trying to remember who I really am,though nothing seems to come to mind."Lulu admited to the wolf. She flattened her ears to her head and looked at the ground holding back that of the forgotten tears in her.She had never found any reason to cry and now this wolf who is hardly knows has broken her stone heart.

Finally the ice queen relaxed. The large wolf grinned ear to ear, the pink markings beneath his eyes almost disappearing in the wrinkled up brown fur. "Not a problem, hun. Met far worse mannered dogs and wolves alike." When he stopped with his grinning he noticed the expression on her face and scowled. Great, tears. Carp's ears flattened and he lowered his head till it was level with his chest, watching her with curious pink eyes. "To forget isn't a sin Lulu, but to remember is a victory. Do you remember anything? Maybe if you are put in similar situations as in your past it'll jog your memory?"He let out an encouraging whine and let his tail wag as yet another smile crossed his maw. Carpathian was normally quite stand-off-ish and rather sharp-tongued. Not to mention he'd killed his injured father over a sword. Most would assume he would be a generally bad character, but in truth he simply had many faces to show the world. The current was a rare one, mild compassion. The thought of forgetting his past, his history, the legacy he'd been born into... the thought honestly terrified him. The brute wondered towards physical contact, if she needed a shoulder to cry on for the moment or just an encouraging nuzzle, but she was still a stranger. Plus, he was sure that he'd find out just how great a fighter she was if he did. Carpathian mentally grimanced and stuck with words and soft smiles. [What a lady killer he could be *sigh* You'd make such a good playboy Carp! Such a waste...] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu glanced at the Carpathian and sighed."Though I have thought long and hard,no matter how hard I think about my past nothing comes to mind.I can't even remember who my parents are let a lone if I ever had a mate or friends.I try to stay away from danger for I don't know what will happen if a fight drags on for lond."Lulu told the wolf though she wanted deeply to cry,her cold heart wouldn't let her.She laid down with a sigh, she would like help in remembering who she is and what she had done. She knew she needed help but was to afraid to ask.The young german shepherd stared at the wolf, his pink were quiet different and from them she got that he was a warrior. How strong she didn't know but at the moment she wasn't going to find out.
[Lol he would make a good playboy]

CARPATHIAN
He let out a sigh and raised his head, eyes traveling towards the treetops to the right. A sparrow was nestled up there, occasionally squaking at the other birds that sang out around the thick wooded landscape. Soft shades of yellow and green seemed to hover in delicate beam mid-air as the sunlight burrowed through the leaves. Carpathian smiled suddenly at the words he'd thought up. "Well... if you've lost your memories... then make some new ones!" The wolf blinked and turned his head, gripping the handle of his blade firmly between his jaws. With a tug, and a groan from the tree, he pulled it free and laid it down in the grass. Carpathian shifted to lay in front of Lulu with the blade laying between them. He lowered his muzzle and began to lick the sap off the cool metal. "Every moment you spend on this earth is a memory. Do you want your memory to just be of wondering what the old ones were or where they've gone?" Carpathian raised his head after cleaning off the blade and crossed his paws over its side. He felt oddly calm despite the little less than three feet between them and the fact they were both warriors, of different sorts maybe, but warriors all the same. Carpathian dared to think maybe he'd found a friend in the forgetful canine. It had been awhile since he'd been around another and it reminded him of the warmth of the pack den for a moment, the smile of his mother, the playing with other pups. His expression became crest-fallen at the memory of two in particular. One was older by about a year, the other his age. They had been good friends... Lucifer and Aros. Carpathian shook his head and returned his solemn gaze to the female, a longing look filling his eyes. "Like climbing a mountain, Lulu. Be careful... or you'll forget the view on the way up." Where was a sarcastic 'take your own advice' when you needed it? [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu's head raised from the green grass that she laid on infront of Carpathian. She had never thought about life in the way that Carpathian had spoke. She was so self-adsord and never thought of anyone else but herself. She felt that the words he spoke were true and wise."Your right, perhaps I have been to involved in what once was and not with what is.Your words are true and wise Carpathian.Though I still long for my memories I should make new memories while they return on their own.I thank you for your kind words of wisdom."Lulu told Carpathian. She got to her paws and looked to the cystal blue sky as an eagle flew over head circleing looking for a place to roost so that it may eat the fish that its tallons help firm against his body.Lulu looked at Carpathian with a smile that soon became a frown for didn't know how to begin in starting a new life from the old that has been lost to her."I don't how to start a new though I want to.How should I begin?"Lulu asked Carpathian with a sad gleam in her eyes.

CARPATHIAN
"Well that's the first time I've heard that! Normally I'm a bit of a blockhead, knowledge of weapons passed down through my birth pack, but otherwise there ain't much in my skull." Carpathian smirked. "Guess everyone has their moments." He squirmed slightly, relishing the cool feel of the grass before gazing up to watch the eagle pass over with her. Even from so far below he could see each feather of the massive wings, the slight movement as the fish struggled, and for a moment he swore he could even feel the raptor's sharp, golden gaze. The brute returned his attention to Lulu as the fae began to speak again. Her question was both easy and difficult. Answering was the difficult part. "You started already. With witnessing the food chain. With realizing and making the choice to start. With looking around or enjoying the feel of a fine day. You started with... a friend." Carpathian swore if wolves could blush his face would be on fire. His ears flattened against his skull as he flashed her a wary smile. Carp did consider her a friend, if even just an aquaintance. The expression faded as he looked down at the sword, smiling warmly at his own reflection. he pressed his nose to the blade's side near the three earring-like attachments. "Come on. That eagle just caught a fish that was still alive so there must be a lake near. It's a warm day, perfect for some memories!" Carpathian leapt to his paws, snatching up the blade and swinging it onto his back. After rolling his large shoulders to get it resting in a comfortable position he turned, glancing over his shoulder to make sure she was following. His pink gaze shifted towards the direction the eagle had come from and started off, scenting the air that tugged at his fur as soft breezes that snaked their way through the tree trunks. Finally the scent of fresh water and wet clay reached his dark gray nose and his tail shot back and forth in anticipation as if he were a pup again. "Look at that..." The water streaching before them wasn't all that big, but it was large enough to sustain a large ammount of fish, water foul, and large animals that came to drink. It was fed by a small stream to the west and drained out into three seperate creeks at the east and south sides. All around was the large forest with a few feet between grass and sand until the water started. Towards the middle of the gray-blue lake a silver shape leapt out of the water only to fall back in. He shifted the sword off his shoulders, watching it carefully as he moved it off his back and onto the ground. Carpathian nudged it with his nose to gently let it rest fully on the grass. Once he was sure it was safe and unmarred he trotted down towards the water with bright eyes. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu smiled at the words that Carpthian had spoken. As she sat down and watched he followed the direction that the eagle had come from and so soon the smell of water came rushing into her,she felt it running by though she had never truely noticed before. She soon looked at the blade that Carpthian after putting it back onto his back now laid it on the ground. She watched as he darted off towards the water. She wanted to follow though she was afraid. The words that he spoke "You started already. With witnessing the food chain. With realizing and making the choice to start. With looking around or enjoying the feel of a fine day. You started with... a friend." raced through he head. She had never been a friend to anyone when she lost her memories. She didn't understand why she now trusted this wolf who she had just meet. She took a few steps foward just past the blade but then stopped.
She glanced at the blade and thought that if she left it,another dog would come and take it and so she went back into the hollow log and laid down. She kept her head up watching the blade and also keeping an eye on Carpthian though at the moment she couldn't see him.

She followed at first, but turned back to the log. While she looked away, laying down, he snuck out of her view. His paws were placed carefully in sand until he was back to grass, slipping through the trees to her far left. Carpathian's eyes were narrowed to prevent and flashed of pink and his mouth curled so that his skin rippled to hide the markings. His dark brown fur matched well in the enviornment and his not wet fur (and disguised scent) hunched behind the log. With a final roll of his shoulders he leapt clear over the log and, only a foot from her, shook out his pelt. With the fae soaked Carp turned and darted away out of immidiate reach. "Come on. If you're worried about thieves, no one would dare still my sword even if they could pick it up. Only the wolves from my birthpack are trained to wield such a sword of it's size. Anyone untrained would break teeth trying to hold it... if they can lift it."He trotted over to it and wagged his tail as he looked back at her. "Come on and enjoy yourself. If you're so worries try and pick it up yourself. You probably can... but it'll hurt." The brute turned and trotted back to the lake side, poking at the water with his toes for a moment before walking in until it was deep enough for him to lay with only his head above the water. Carpathian let out a relaxed sigh. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lulu stayed laying, she soon got to her paws and raced after Carpthian. As he laid in the water,Lulu ran and jumped over him diving into the water making a huge splash. She held up her breath as she swam under the water.Fish swam past her nose, she under water life was so free and didn't have any worries.Coral reefs were on rock near the bottom of the lake, sea weed grew like trees.Soon Lulu was forced to swim to the surface a rush of bright colors blinded her for she had been under the water. The sun gleamed on the water making it shimer. The green trees stood in a line on the shore shading that of lush green bushes and flowers. She looks at Carpthian."I've never had this much fun before.I thank you fo helping me begin a new.So now what shall we do?"Lulu asked Carpthian as she swam over to him.
Though Lulu was enjoying her now found life with her new found friend a stranger was approaching. This strange ran fast and as he did the colors of the land were all but a blur to his eyes.He soon came to a hault when the sound of water splashing came ringing to his ears. His light grey pelt with big and small black spots looked in all direction, his eyes glanced right and left searching for someone, the bark of the trees and the green color of the grass and brown dirt that surrounded him, made him a bit uneasy. He sniffed the air as to find the source of the splash and there as a gust of wind blew past his snout the scent of a wolf,a dog and water came to his scenses. He looked down and there hidden behind the trees was a lake, though the scent of wolf made him want to retreat, the scent of the dog made him go onwards to the lake.He slowly creeped upon the lake and there he saw a huge wolf laying in the water and there swimming beside the wolf was a young female german shepherd who's black face made him freeze.Though he froze it was not from fear but of excitement and joy for he knew this female and what she had done.He now wanted ever so depressitly to go to her,he stayed hidden in the shadow of a tree so that he could figure out the situation as it stood."Should I go now while the wolf is there?Or should I wait til she is alone and speak with her?I must act with causion for the wrong approach will cost me my life."The young male told himself this,to help him keep his compossure though he wanted to lose it and run and play with the yound female who he knew.Though he knew that she would not remember him,he dared not care for all he wanted was to be noticed by this dog...this female.....this warrior in which he had been searching for,for so long.
