Shinwa One, two, three steps.... Oh how Shinwa enjoyed the cool feeling of snow under his paws, the flakes that melted when touching the rough, warm skin of his paw pads. The winter air of Japan that would seem freezing to some, felt nicely refreshing, for his thick, long fur provided him with perfect protection. He sniffed the air, closing his dark purple eyes as he took in the scent of his surroundings. So nice, no stench of humans anywhere, so much different than the filthy facility he had spent most of his life in. Shinwa relaxed his muscles, rising his head toward the sky, as a low rumble erupted in his chest at the thought of no humans being around. It was a content purring, if I may call it that way. The Border collie and German Shepard mix was standing under an old tree, but as it was winter, no leaves were on the branches that hovered above him, and the grayish cloudless sky was the sight that greeted him when he lazily opened his eyes again. "Oh, the sky is far too boring today...." The male thought as he yawned, all of his white sharp teeth showing. He wasn't the one to cherish the moments of peace, and the stillness of nature annoyed him somewhat. He longed for action, a fight perhaps, the rush he would feel when charging at his opponent. But don't misunderstand, it wasn't the kill that he aimed for, just the simple test of skills, a new challange.... His teeth and claws yearned to be used, his muscles to be well streched.... He made up his mind in an instant, changing his pace from slow walking to a sprint, leaving a trail of lifted snow behind him. Shinwa moved with no effort, his blue and purple fur just a blur as his paws silently touched the snow, never falling in deep enough to reach the frozen ground beneath. The three-year-old was full of energy he didn't have what to use for, and the smell of another canine he thought he caught just a few seconds earlier were all the motivation he needed to spring into action. No trouble. He took no notice of the fact he was making his arrival so apparent, as he skidded to a stop in front of an old farmhouse. Titling his head to the side, curious, he took in the poor looking structure before him. It was old, obviously abandoned by humans for a long time, for there scent was nowhere to be found. It looked weather-beaten and ready to collapse, to him at least. But it wasn't the shelter he had came for, so the state in which the abandoned farm was in didn't quite interest him, but something else he believed was in it. Someone, to be more precise. The scent of another canine, or canines, that he had been following, ended and was the strongest here. It was not Shinwa's intention to hide, and so he didn't. The mix stood tall and proud, his eyes shining in anticipation, as he waited, maybe a bit too relaxed and unprepared, for he didn't know who he was about to face....

(Hope ya don't mind Percy joinin' ya ^__^)
Yawning, the Akita shifted in the hay on the loft, stretching out. Only yesterday had he found the barn and decided to stop for a rest. As it seemed, the barn was a place of solitude, as his stay here was fairly unbothered. Few animals had entered, and no dogs. He was finally able to relax and sleep for once, and it felt good indeed. Flexing his paws, he earned a few, rather satisfying cracks as another yawn escaped his maw.
But, as it seemed, perhaps Percy had overstayed his welcome. Brown ears perked suddenly as a shuffling sound outside met them. It was only a matter of time, he assumed, before someone else came seeking refuge in the barn. He couldn’t blame them, it was warm, dry and cozy, any dog sick of the weather that stumbled upon this solitary structure was sure to make a stop.
But who?
Rolling onto his stomach, Perseus brought his legs under him to stand, feeling a newfound strength in him from a decent rest. “mmm, yeah. This is nice.” His voice crept quietly from his maw as he rolled his shoulders, reveling in the regenerated feeling. He only hoped that he wouldn’t have to waste the strength he now had fighting whatever trekked closer to his temporary den, especially since he really wasn’t in the mood to do much but roll around and sleep; but he would do what he must.
Creeping to the edge of the loft, Percy lifted his nose and sniffed the air gently, relieved to find the scent of only one dog – and that dog didn’t seem to waste any time making his presence known. Laying his ears back, Percy hunkered close to the wooden floor, his blue eyes not once leaving the canine as he entered the barn.
With sudden interest, percy raised his ears. Such a strange dog that had come to him, blue? He tilted his head, studying the half-breed before him, debating if he should stay hidden, or not. No, hiding was the cowards way out, and if he inspired to join Ohu… the thought trailed away as he stood proudly. And proudly he did. Percy was quite impressed himself with what he was, a tora-ge Akita, and like the tora-ge Akitas of old, he too wanted to make a difference. Percy cleared his throat softly.
“S’cuse me…”

((I welcome everyone with open arms and a full bag of cookies.*offers one to Phantom*And by the way, I love your avatar-it's Edward from FMA, right? XD))
Shinwa padded into the barn, deciding not to wait any longer, looking curiously around. The interior was almost as bad as it looked from the outside, and the dust that entered his nose made him sneeze a few times. This is why he, at first, didn't notice the pair of light blue eyes watching him-he had completely forgotten why he had come here for a moment. Straightening again, he felt another's presence and he jumped in surprise when a voice spoke not too far away: "“S’cuse me…” It was a bad thing he got distracted fairly easy, and this was a perfect example. If the dog had attacked instead of addressing him, Shinwa was pretty sure he wouldn't be alive any more. He landed a few feet away, alert for any signs of oncoming attack. He sighed when none came. "Idiot, a fight is the reason you came here, stop acting as a scared puppy...." He berated himself silently, before finally paying attention to the dog that had almost given him a heart attack. It was a young male, Akita he dared guess, as he looked at his marks. His fur was gray, with brown husky-like markings, but what surprised him most were the light black stripes that ran down his back and tail, and could also be seen on his face and legs. A Tora-Ge Akita. Well you don't get to meet one every day, and Shinwa was trilled. He knew how rare was to see a dog like this one, and the male didn't look like a joke to him. "Hey there!" He almost shouted as he approached the Akita. It wasn't in his nature to be quiet and polite. " My name is Shinwa, Shio for short, and it would be cool if ya told me your name as well, 'cause I like ta know who I'm beatin' the crap out off!" His eyes were ablaze with excitement that filled him once again, and yeah, his style definitely wasn't polite.

(*happily noms cookie* <3 Hellz yea it is! LOL! *Pets special Ed* My apologies for taking so long to reply >< I didn’t expect my weekend to be so hectic.)
Blue eyes kept themselves contently focused on the dog below, watching his every movement and reaction. He seems almost as if he’s distracted… The thought crossed Percy’s mind as he took a step forward, making himself more easily seen. He could have easily attacked then and there, while the other seemed off in his own world, and saved himself any trouble. But that wasn’t the kind of dog that he was. If he didn’t have a reason to attack, he wouldn’t. End of story.
Percy flicked his ears as the dog leaped away, now on guard. His strange, blue new friend seemed very competent for sure, but there was still something off. Why… why would you come here? Feeling the others eyes studying him, Percy stood taller as if extremely proud to display himself to the other. In fact, he was.
"My name is Shinwa, Shio for short, and it would be cool if ya told me your name as well, 'cause I like ta know who I'm beatin' the crap out of!"
Well, this was just peachy. Laying his ears back, Percy huffed, closing his eyes. As it seemed, Shio was a dog who loved trouble, perhaps one who even looked for it – and Percy was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Completely. Running his tongue over his maw, he opened his eyes again, focusing on his now proclaimed opponent below. He didn’t really want to fight, but, it seemed as if he had no choice now.
Great. Well, if this dog wanted a show, he would get one. “Perseus. Percy, if you will.” The trident. Percy thought with a smile. And like a trident, Percy would spear his opponent. Not literally, but, you get the idea.
“So, you came here for a fight, eh... Shio?”

((OOC: Hey, no problem! I know this one is a bit off, but I hope I explained it well enough.... ))
Shio watched the result of his little speech, as the Akita closed his eyes, his ears now laid back. The Blue Ghost felt as if fire was burning beneath him, the action he knew would soon come making him too excited to stay calm. If he hadn't been alone and endlessly bored for past few weeks, he might've been able to control himself a bit better, but now he was itching for a good fight, but as inpatient as he was, he waited for the other to speak. The Akita opened his eyes again, and Shio listened: “Perseus. Percy, if you will.” now named male spoke with a smile. He seemed confident enough, and it was just what the former military thief and assassin was looking for, a worthy opponent. “So, you came here for a fight, eh... Shio?” At these words a smile of his own appeared on Shio's maw, for it was all going in the right direction so far. He looked at Percy, almost thankfully someone could think, and took a step forward, his eyes not once leaving his target. "Yeah, that's exactly why I'm here, and ya seem like someone who doesn't back away so easily... Well, I hope you're strong, Percy, 'cause I don't wanna hurt you too bad...." He was only teasing the gay, of course, he had no intention of really inflicting any serious wounds, just a few scratches, but his own words reminded him of something he thought long forgotten, causing him to become lost in thought, not paying attention to the dog who could attack any second.
He was once again standing on a river bank, his fur soaking wet, a puddle forming underneath his unmoving form. The forest surrounded him, the large trees letting only a small amount of the sunlight to reach him, but it was more than enough to annoy the already irritated soon to be killer. It was the first time he was ordered to do something but steal and record conversations, and he couldn't quite believe what they wanted him to do. Shio knew from personal experience how cruel humans could be, heck, they even burned his home to the ground, but he never expected to be sent to mercilessly kill someone. Quickly and silently, they said. Shio just prayed that whoever his target was would be strong enough to get away, so that he wouldn't have to do it. He knew his masters were watching, so his only chance was to lose to his target, but his hopes were crushed when he finally got to see whom he was supposed to kill.... It was a young man, obviously not older than twenty, his messy brownish hair falling on his shoulders, asleep under a tree, oblivious to what was going to happen. He was muttering something in his dream, something nice, Shio assumed, as a small smile graced the boy's lips, a content sigh escaping them. It was all lost, Shio knew in that second, he would have to do it, he could either live with a fact that he spilled the blood of the one before him, and many others to come, or he could die himself. He was too young back then, and death was still the worst thing he could imagine. If he warned the human, the ones watching him would know, and he would be as good as dead, after all, what did one dog mean to them...? It was the first time he had killed anyone, first time he almost choked on the blood of his victim....
He was so consumed in the memory which he accidentally freed, that his defenses were lowered, leaving him open to any attacks the other dog was maybe preparing.... Once again, he was too easily distracted, but what consequences would it have this time? Would Percy wait for his challenger to attack first, or would the words Shio had already spoken be enough to make the young Akita go into action....

(Yup! It was quite fine, lol.)
"Yeah, that's exactly why I'm here, and ya seem like someone who doesn't back away so easily... Well, I hope you're strong, Percy, 'cause I don't wanna hurt you too bad...."
Laying his ears back, Percy listened with interest. Shio seemed to be full of himself, and usually the dogs like that were the weak ones, hoping to scare off their enemies with words. This one seemed different. There was true intent behind the words, Percy could feel it. Besides, he would never size up an enemy completely before they acted. Anyone could do anything, especially with how things were these days. So many powers, so many breeds and colors, so many fighting styles, not to mention the return of the Koga ninja clan he had heard of. For all he knew, this dog before him could be one of them – he had no idea what he was capable of.
Then again, the same went for Shio about him. As far as the other dog knew, he was a normal Tora – ge akita. He didn’t know his father was one of the ninjas of a new age clan, and he had some ninja training to boost his agility and stamina (Mainly for purposes of the Battouga), nor did he know that he could use the Battouga. Deep inside, Percy silently pleaded that he wouldn’t have to use it against the strange half breed before him. But one never knew. He wanted to know just what this other dog could do.
“Heh.” Percy smirked, his ears perking up as sudden adrenaline filling his body more and more with each breath he took. “Don’t hold back. I wouldn’t expect you to, not with talk like that.”
Wait… what? Percy growled softly as the dog before him seemed to lose his mind and attention in thin air. Poof, it was gone. Laying one ear back, Percy tilted his head. The dog came here for a fight yet… he was daydreaming? How reckless. If he were facing any other dog, he would be dead right now, as Percy wasn’t one to attack an off guard opponent. He wanted to at least give his opponent a chance.
Then again, would this dog do the same for him if he were to suddenly slip off into his own little world?
Doubtful.
One warning, that would be all he would give the other. Even then, perhaps Percy was being too nice. “OI! Wake up!” Snorting, Percy crouched, flexing his paws. Time to make a move, yes? Leaping from the loft, he quickly landed next to shio and nipped gently at his shoulder, a warning/wake up strike and leaped away just as quickly as he had approached. The nip did no damage, merely something to bring the other dog about his wits.
“Ya shouldn’t be daydreaming when you come asking for a fight!”

As Shio was still lost in his memory, he never noticed how the dog reacted to his words. He was being far too reckless this time, openly asking for a fight and then not paying any attention to his opponent. Shio was practically asking to die. "Heh. Don’t hold back. I wouldn’t expect you to, not with talk like that.” The Blue Ghost was still miles away, but these words seemed to pull him back a little, just enough for him to realize he was no longer standing over the bloody body of the young man he had killed. A shiver ran down his spine, how he hated himself for the decision he had made that dreadful day. He was too naive thinking that dying was the worst thing; he feared it back then and would've done anything to escape it, but now.... A look of sadness appeared on his face, eyes cast downward as he stared at his paws. For a split second he thought he saw blood on them, and closed his eyes. "I shouldn't have done it.... It-it was.... it is unforgivable. And not only him...." Even though he was now aware of his surroundings, the fact that he had already challenged Percy to a fight was completely lost to him, and the bark that sounded close to him surprised him maybe even more than it had the first time he stepped into the barn. “OI! Wake up!” Shinwa brought his head up just in time to see the Akita jump at him, but he never felt the pain he expected would come any second, just a light nip at his shoulder, and the dog was no more standing next to him. Now he was awake, for real. He locked his eyes on his opponent, bearing his fangs just a little, as he moved into a fighting stance. Well, it was time, don't you think? "You're too nice, my friend.... but thank you.... I'll be sure too pay my debt to you...." Of course, none of this left his maw, nor did he show it in any way, his appreciation, I mean, for he still glared at the male. He made no move as Percy spoke again: “Ya shouldn’t be daydreaming when you come asking for a fight!”
"And ya should learn to take the advantage and strike when ya have the chance....pup. Being nice will lead ya no where." Shio hoped that Percy missed the sad look that, he was sure, was in his eyes as he spoke this, for more than anything he hated when someone with a good heart got hurt 'cause of it. But then again, he shouldn't let his emotions get the better of him, not now, as it was apparently the time for that fight he so wished he would get. His maw stretched into a wide grin as he managed to put his bad memories aside, focusing on his reason for being here in the first place. "Well now, let's not drag this any longer...." Shio never had any specific fighting style, for even when he was being trained by the military, it was only theft and quick killing they thought him. So he relayed on his speed and strength to make up for his lack of fighting experience and style. As he was standing relatively close to Percy, he hoped one jump would be enough to take him behind the Akita and give him advantage. He crouched, being careful not to take his eyes off of his opponent, and leaped as high as he could from this position, hoping his back paws wouldn't get caught in the jaws of the other. It happened once before, and it was then Shio learned how painful it was to be interrupted in the middle of a jump, falling flat on his face. No, that definitely wasn't his plan now.

(Sorry it took me so long, I got sick... once again >_<)
What is up with this dog? Percy watched as the emotions in the blue half-breed seemed to continually evolve. It was almost as if the dog were having a flash back, which Percy could understand as he too often had them; but if this dog were experiencing one now, it seemed to be way worse than his usual. His reactions were slow, dangerously slow for his own good. Not that Perseus would take advantage of that, no, but if he were facing any other dog – Shio would be screwed, royally.
Despite this, Percy was starting to take a liking to this dog. Lord may only know why.
Shio then turned to look at him and Percy raised his head high, taking a deep breath, did the other finally decide to leave his own little world to join him?
"And ya should learn to take the advantage and strike when ya have the chance....pup. Being nice will lead ya no where."
A smirk then played on his grey maw, ears laying back in a rather cocky manner. “But that wouldn’t do anything for me.” Blue eyes focused on Shio as he spoke, a strange emotion washing over him. What was this? He didn’t know, but he liked it. “Nor would it do anything for you. I already told you I didn’t want you to hold back. It means that I wish to see just what you can do, my blue friend.”
He turned his focus into the eyes of the other, trying to catch sight of any visible emotion that he may release. Rule one of fighting, study your opponent, for they may give off clues as to what they’re planning. But what he saw, instead of it helping him, it caught him off guard. Taking a step back in mild surprise, Percy lowered his head. What he saw was nothing of malicious intent, not even anger. Thankfulness, perhaps? He didn’t get the change to take a second look, as it was gone as quickly as it had come.
"Well now, let's not drag this any longer...."
Yes, lets. Who will make the first move… Percy shifted his paws in the hay, taking a fighting stance, his eyes focused wholly on his opponent. Shifting his weight back to dart toward Shio, Percy growled. He would… or not. The other leaped up above, never once out of Percy’s line of focus. Blue eyes followed the upward movement, ears laying back. Dammit! Move legs… MOVE! With a huff, Percy bolted forward, out of Shio’s way, throwing an upward nip as he moved. Digging his paws deep into the hay, he slid to a stop on the opposite side of the barn from where he once stood, turning quickly to face his opponent as he landed, ears laid back. This was indeed no game, this was a real fight, his first one on one fight with another dog.
Oh yes, this should be fun.

While still in the air, Shio felt his opponent move quickly beneath him, and his long tick fur protected him somewhat from a small bite. He had enough time to admire Percy's speed, and it brought a light smile on his maw. "Nice, kiddo, you're gonna make this an interesting fight to say at least...." The Blue Ghost was quite used to fighting random dogs in the forest since he got free, but they were usually too strong to match his speed. And he loved speed, he loved to make his body move so fast that it felt to him for a second as if he was flying. He landed on his front paws, jerking his body so that he spun, now once again facing his opponent. A deep growling sound erupted in his chest, fangs showing and ears laid back. This was no longer just teasing and checking out each other, the fight has started and there was no room for mistakes anymore, or flashbacks for that matter. But even though he was bearing his teeth and tensing his muscles, ready for another charge, Shio just couldn't make himself look at the kid with anything but liking... and gratefulness. Taking notice of Percy's position and laid back ears, he took the defensive stance and decided to let him attack this time, wishing he had paid more attention to his opponent, for now he wasn't sure what to expect. Shio had heard the Akita say he wanted him to give his all, but he wasn't really sure if that's what he should do. Percy looked able enough to hold his own against him, but it still didn't bring the former assassin any comfort. The only thought on his mind was how to get out of this fight alive and without hurting his opponent much. "Damn! It's not good when ya wanna protect the one you're fighting....Ahhhh, I always get myself in some sort of mess...." Changing his mind, he lowered himself, ready to attack, for he was too impatient to wait for the other to do so, it gave him time to think and he didn't like it. It confused him, what he was feeling, and it ate away at his will to go through with this fight. And his pride just wouldn't have it, there was no way he would back out, only cowards did so. With another growl as a final warning, he charged full speed at Percy, his claws digging into the old wooden floor. As he got close, Shio got ready to strike, skidding to a halt next to his opponent aiming his bite at his shoulder. Never thinking an attack through, he disregarded Percy's speed, making his attempt not likely to succeed, and leaving himself open. It mattered little to him thought, as a glint of hope lingered in his purplish eyes all the while, hope that this fight wouldn't turn out to be one of the stupidest things he had started in his life. It wasn't himself he worried much about, and maybe that was his mistake, as his attack had no real intent to hurt in it....
((OOC: It's 'K, hope you're feeling better. And I'm aware of the fact that this post probably sucks, but I had no inspiration whatsoever, I have been writing it for almost an hour... xDD))

(I am, thank you! <3 And *pokes* It’s good, you’re good, lol, you gotta start giving yourself more credit xD)
Narrowing his eyes at the sound of his opponent’s growl, Percy crouched down, preparing himself. This was serious now, definitely. The first couple moves were simply a game, but that game was long gone and dead. In any other fight, he would have taken his time, acting more aloof and spent more time teasing his enemy. But he couldn’t afford that here. Especially since this was his first one on one fight. He had to be on guard, prepared.
And, he wasn’t.
His mind already searching for the words to taunt his opponent, he was lost to the world momentarily. And it was a bad moment to be lost. Shio darted forward, delivering a blow to him that wasn’t ment to hurt, but it hit its mark. Teeth grazed over his already well earned scars. A growl ripped through him as his lip curled back, revealing his own experienced teeth as he leaped away from the blue dog. Sliding in the hay, blue eyes traveled down to his chest, watching the small trickle of blood slide down his grey fur.
“Not bad, you’re fast.” He spoke coolly as he looked up to the other, a new fire burning in his eyes. Was this truly a fight? Neither of them seemed to want to hurt the other, maybe it was nothing more than a game, one screwed up game at that. He liked this dog, that was certain in his mind now, and he wanted to know more. Time for talk would come later, this he knew, but for now…
Let the games, continue.
Pushing against the floor boards below him, Percy leaped forward into a run. With each step he took, his maw opened a little wider. The move he had planned was a total stab in the dark, and seeing the speed the dog before him had displayed, he had no clue if it would hit or not, but it was all worth a shot. Digging his paws deep into the hay, he leaned down, sliding past shio, right under his muzzle, and moved his own maw to – hopefully- graze across the other’s chest. Percy didn’t care if it hit or not, truth be told, he was having fun.
Breaking off from his slide on the other side, he stood still, back turned to shio as he licked his maw. Turning his head, he gazed behind him at the dog, eyes once again narrowed. “So, where’s this gonna go, my blue friend?

((OOC: Hey, thanx! It just never seems good enough, there's always a bunch of "he", "him" and "his" I just can't seem to get rid off.
Here ya go, a bloody novel. 831 words of my rambling.. lol))
Shio hadn't thought he would make it, and was surprised to taste blood. It seemed as thought Percy got lost in thought for just a second, but enough not to be able to avoid his sharp teeth. Indeed, he just grazed his shoulder, nothing even worth mentioning "Unless you are a human, of course, they always whine for no reason..." , but still it hit the mark. It warned his opponent he was no longer screwing around, advised him to be prepared and on guard. All the time. Shio took his own advice as well, not allowing his thoughts to wander, keeping all the flashbacks at bay. No matter how hard he tried to keep this battle as painless as possible, if he lost his focus, it would all go to hell. He would either get hurt or killed, or he would be forced to injure the other. It was not his wish to do so. And still, the action he so longed for before it all got messed up brought him that kind of happiness only a good fight can bring. Even thought the purplish eyes reflected his concern, his maw was stretched into an excited smile, fueled by the adrenaline that coursed through his body. It kept him on the edge, ready to move anytime. Percy growled as he leapt away, a small bloodstain forming on his stripped fur. "Not bad, you’re fast.” The male looked at him, his blue eyes ablaze with excitement, and Shio thought he caught another feeling in them, curiousness, perhaps? Yeah, that could be it, but the three year old wasted no more time pondering if he got it right, as the Akita readied for another attack, darting toward him a second later. Shio tensed his muscles, preparing to counter whatever he would be faced with, but he was too slow in realizing other's plan. Seeing as Percy dug his paws into the hay that covered the old wooden floor, leaning forward with his maw wide open, he jumped back, falling over as his hind paw got caught in the crack in the floor. He felt his leg twist painfully under him, his paw still held in place, as he slammed hard into the ground. Shio was not sure if he just imagined the sickening cracking sound he thought he hear, but the searing pain in his back right leg proved he was probably right. He gritted his teeth, stopping a pained growl that had formed in his throat to be voiced, and looked down at his trapped and possibly broken leg. Blood was spreading on the place where the sharp wood dug through the tick fur and into the soft flesh of his paw, and his leg altogether looked off. Yep, this was definitely going to be a pain in the ass, if I may say so. "Ya clumsy idiot! That's what ya get when ya go lookin' for trouble! Ya get the trouble, ya moron! Now look at this...." J-just gr-great." His maw was still tightly shut, so the words were barely audible. As he was too occupied with this new development, Shio failed to notice the small wound on his chest, apparently made by Percy's teeth. As that thought finally hit him, his head snapped up, as his eyes searched for his opponent. When his eyes locked onto the Akita, he saw him standing with his back turned, gazing at him over his shoulder. It seemed to Shio that his previous question of where this was gonna go next didn't make much sense anymore, for it could happen in only two different ways. Percy was either gonna turn out to be a cold blooded killer who just loved to fool his enemies into believing he was all nice and sweet, and would kill him without a second thought, which was most unlikely to happen, or this fight would stop. There was no way for him to continue, for even if he could ignore the pain, he still couldn't move as he was trapped. Of course, if it came to that, there would be no talking about surrender, he would fight with his tail if he had to, but there was no way he would ask for more battling anytime soon. Alert for any signs of aggression from his opponent, he took a deep breath to try and calm himself as well as numb the pain, and then spoke in a still shaky, pain voice: "You're g-gonna have to a-answer that question y-yourself, Percy, right? 'Cause I d-don't think it wo-would really matter what I s-said now...." There was a bit of hope in his voice, hope this would be the end of their little game, and in some odd twisted way, he was glad for what happened. Now he definitely wouldn't, couldn't, hurt the kid.
((OOC: And sorry if this is not quite what ya expected, I just got to the dodging part, when something in my head clicked, and then there was no turning back. I just had to do it.))

(No no, again, it’s quite fine <3 I thought it was done pretty well actually. *poke* You’re good! LOL! I love twists and stuff. Besides, when idea's just click, sometimes, they're the best ideas. A bunch of He’s and Him’s is kinda inevitable, LOL. You could replace some with his name, or nickname, that could help you if you ever feel like that’s happening. It’s what I do xD)
To his surprise, Percy found himself panting slightly. Was he really working that hard? He hadn’t thought so, and they hadn’t been battling but maybe ten minutes. Then again, this was his first one on one fight, and this dog was definitely keeping him on edge. That was, until something that he hadn’t expected to happen… happened.
Shio tripped, his paw caught in an old knothole in the wood. The sickening crack that was made, quite obviously, from the snapping of a bone made Percy twitch as the thick, coppery scent of blood raised to his nose.
Licking his maw, he raised his head and turned around to face the dog, the struggle to quell the pain obvious in his expression. This struck a chord in Percy. He couldn’t fight anymore, no, Shio needed help. Slowly, Perseus made his way over to the fallen male as he spoke, the same pain that played on his features showing clearly in his voice.
"You're g-gonna have to a-answer that question y-yourself, Percy, right? 'Cause I d-don't think it wo-would really matter what I s-said now...."
Stopping right behind the leg that was still caught in the wood, Percy allowed his blue eyes to meet with purple, ears laying back “I’m not heartless…” Carefully winding his maw around the wounded leg, he pulled it back gently and up out from the wood before setting it down carefully where it should lay. He could feel his pelt shutter at the taste of the blood as it flooded his senses – but he didn’t like it. The taste of another canine’s blood was not one that he preferred.
“Seems as if this is the end, Shio.” His words came out gently, knowing that if spoken the wrong way, they could be taken as a threat, and in his current state, Percy didn’t want the other to struggle and further harm himself. Sitting down, he looked over the leg, a small smile winding his way onto his maw, “You really did a number to yourself. Perhaps, we both should’ve been smarter and moved this outside, eh? Or… is it better this way, to have it end?”

((OOC: Thanks! ^^ It just seems to me that I always make things either too hard on my characters, so I don't know if that's annoying 'cause they're almost always hurt or in trouble, or I make it all over dramatic. But, I guess that can work our quite fine sometimes as well ;D))
Shio watched with eyes half closed in pain and concentration not to let it show, he was failing at that obviously, as Percy slowly approached, stopping behind his broken leg, his ears now laid back as their eyes met. "I’m not heartless…” the male spoke and Shio relaxed slightly, but just for a moment, for he tensed again as Percy lowered his head, his strong jaws gently closing around Shio's trapped leg. At first he was about to try and get him to stop, but as he realized what his now former opponent was doing he held still, preparing himself for a new dose of pain he knew would come when his leg was moved. Even though he had been trained by military, his tolerance of pain wasn't all that admirable, as his job was to kill, not fight. Bracing himself, he closed his eyes and grit his teeth once again, for both the broken bone was being moved and the pieces of the wood that had dug into his paw slowly left his flesh. He tried his best, but still a low whimper escaped his throat as he breathed out, daring to open his hazy eyes. Percy had successfully removed his leg from the crack, but now the small but deep wounds had been freed from the wood, and started bleeding more than he liked it. It wasn't life threatening, of course, but it still made everything just a bit blurry. He perked his ears as the Akita spoke: “Seems as if this is the end, Shio.” His voice was gentle and calm, and Shio found it non-threatening, just a comment regarding their silly little fight. Gaining some control over his voice, he tried to speak in a tone he thought amused: "Yeah, it seems so, just 'cause the bloody floor couldn't resist taking away my fun. Dammit! And here I t-thought there was nothing stupider I could manage to do after slamming my head into the three once, at full speed no less." He chuckled lightly at his own words, forgetting about his current state for a bit, and some of the fire that burned in his eyes minutes ago returned. It was faint, but there. He had opened his maw to complain how the freakin' barn should take better care of it's occupants, when Percy beat him to it as his voice filled the old farmhouse again: "“You really did a number to yourself. Perhaps, we both should’ve been smarter and moved this outside, eh? Or… is it better this way, to have it end?”
"Ya have managed to voice my thoughts exactly, my friend, and you're right, no decent fight can be held in a stinky hut such as this one. And now it smells of blood as well.... Agghhh, I hate this!!! People should know better than make things that'll harm ya when ya least expect it! .... But, maybe it is for the best, maybe we would both have lost more that the ability to walk properly for some time if we had continued." The truth was, he was glad he now had the chance to get to know Percy better, for he really liked the young Tora-Ge. It was nice meeting someone with a good heart and still able to defend themselves. Actually, the little of the action that happened before his accident made him short of breath, he had to admit. The kid was good, but really. A smirk played on his maw as he tried to cover up the fear behind his next words, for he honestly wasn't sure what would happen now. He had never been hurt like this before, well, not without the humans around to help him. "Well, kid, have you by any chance had any healing training? I truthfully don't think I'd be able to even reach my leg, let alone fix the bone. And if it's left like this, there is a good chance it won't heal, or it'll be completely off when it does. At least that's what humans talked about everytime it happened." It wasn't pleasant thinking about all of his previous injuries, 'cause for each one of these he had to go through the procedure even more painful that the actual breaking was. As you can guess, it was fixing the bone. The military was never merciful enough to put him to sleep first, and he never got used even a bit to the feeling of his already broken bones being messed with by a crazily smiling medic. He shuddered at that memory, wondering how this would all turn out....

(lol, honestly, I don't think people do it enough. I mean, they fight, and usually their characters come out relatively unscathed, and that's far from what would really happen. xD; "Yeah, it seems so, just 'cause the bloody floor couldn't resist taking away my fun. Dammit! And here I t-thought there was nothing stupider I could manage to do after slamming my head into the three once, at full speed no less." Percy couldn't help but smile at this. It seemed like his new acquaintance was definately one for some fun, it made him like Shio all the more. I definately think I could really get along with this one. Such an interesting way to start a relationship though... Really though, he was glad that it had started that way, than not at all. He didn't have many friends, and in a world that was as cold as it was in their day, one could use all the friends they could collect. And this, this was special to him. This wouldn't be a fair-weather friend, he could tell. He wanted this to last."Ya have managed to voice my thoughts exactly, my friend, and you're right, no decent fight can be held in a stinky hut such as this one. And now it smells of blood as well.... Agghhh, I hate this!!! People should know better than make things that'll harm ya when ya least expect it! .... But, maybe it is for the best, maybe we would both have lost more that the ability to walk properly for some time if we had continued.""Well, at least it's warmer in here than it is outside. With you being wounded as you are, who knows how long we'll be stuck here. Better stuck in here though, where we have some protection and a better chance of surviving than out there." Looking out the open doors as he spoke, Percy sniffed at the air, laying his ears back. The scent of snow was heavy on the air, and it wasn't the snow that had already fallen, no, this smelled fresh.
Growing serious as his blue eyes focused on the scenery outside, Percy lowered his head. It would snow soon, he was tired of snow. But once again, he was suddenly thankful for the abandoned barn. Staying with Shio while he was wounded would definately be more pleasant without white, sparkly flecks falling all around them."Well, kid, have you by any chance had any healing training? I truthfully don't think I'd be able to even reach my leg, let alone fix the bone. And if it's left like this, there is a good chance it won't heal, or it'll be completely off when it does. At least that's what humans talked about every time it happened."Ears perked themselves up suddenly as Shio spoke to him once more, dragging his attention back from outside. Focusing himself on the blue dog's wounded hind leg, Percy fell into thought. He had seen humans care for each other while they were out in the wild, but he had never seen any take care of something this big. It was a broken limb, had he remembered anything about broken limbs on any of the humans he had seen?
Not really.
He did remember the humans sticking two sticks on either side of a finger and wrapping it, but it was on a small child. Wait. Maybe, if he found one, or two sticks, he could align them to shio's leg to put the leg back into its proper alignment. But, they obviously wouldn't stay there on their own, and Percy had NO clue how he could wrap it like the humans could do, let alone what to wrap it with. damn...
Wait! They were in a barn! The humans used all sorts of strange things on animals in places like these! Maybe they left some rope behind. He couldn't tie it, obviously, but they could try something! Looking around the barn, he found several things that he had missed before. Strange tools with metal bits, leather saddles, hoses, pitchforks and - there! About 5 feet above the floor, on a nail, hung a long, thin rope. One end was tied in a knot already - a lasso! Although he didn't know the name of the contraption, he knew he could use it, it was Perfect!"Do you know how you can get your leg back to its proper alignment without much trouble while I find something?" He could wrap the lasso around his leg before slipping the hoop up and pulling it closed. He just had to find some sort of wood to put with the rope around his leg. He didn't know what the humans called it, but he knew he saw them use it, and could only hope that it would work.

((OOC: Yeah, I guess you're right, I just never thought about it that way, lol. I'll try not to make that mistake, although I'm not sure I'll really have to, since it's not like me to go easy on my chars
Be careful my Phantom, it's awful *tries to hide behind Phantom but falls through* AGGGHHH *runs off screaming for her dear life* Warned ya, read this at your own risk.....lol))"Well, at least it's warmer in here than it is outside. With you being wounded as you are, who knows how long we'll be stuck here. Better stuck in here though, where we have some protection and a better chance of surviving than out there." Shio watched as his new friend focused his attention on the outside, not looking all to pleased with what he was seeing. Purple eyes moved from the figure of the Tora-Ge to the partially broken door, and from where he was laying he could see the snow had started falling again. The Blue Ghost couldn't understand why Percy didn't seem to like the snow, for he personally adored it. It made him lots happier that warm summer sun that made him want to get out of his skin to cool himself. Oh, well, he was never the one to consider not everyone had such long and thick fur to protect them from freezing. Giving up on that thought, he was dragged back to the reality by the pain that erupted in his leg again. Damn thing, it wouldn't leave him alone! Oh, and what was he expecting with a broken bone, a candy? Letting out a sigh of frustration, and something to cover up what he was feeling, he diverted his attention once again to the young fighter before him, for Percy seemed to be deep in thought. Trying to figure out how to get his bone back in it's proper place, Shio guessed. As he had nothing else to do, he let Percy look around while he wondered off in his mind. Shio thought how lucky he was to meet someone like him, for if it was anyone else he'd probably be dead long ago. The male was not used to being treated this kindly, and even thought his behavior didn't show it, he had been mistreated in his life by humans as well as other canines. It was a decision he made when he had escaped the military that kept him going without falling into depression. He promised to himself he wouldn't let this twisted world defeat him, that he wouldn't let it change him into something he didn't want to be. But even thought Shio succeeded in most part, there were still some things he wasn't able to avoid. His hatred for humans never lessened, and no matter that he refused to kill them any longer, it still tainted his heart same as their blood stained his fangs countless times. The urge to fight wasn't something he had been born with, it was something they implanted in his head by ruthless training and severe punishments every time he made a mistake. He shuddered at the memory, for the feeling of the whip on your skin isn't a thing one can forget easily. Sometimes he wished he didn't have this long fur, so that some of the numerous scars that covered his body could be seen, he was sick of being considered a mindless pup just 'cause he didn't look like a dog who's been through hell. For he knew the meaning of pain and sorrow better that most, and his low tolerance of pain made it all the worse. He snapped out of his thoughts as Percy spoke again, obviously having an idea:"Do you know how you can get your leg back to its proper alignment without much trouble while I find something?" Shio didn't answer right away, for he honestly didn't know if he could pull it off. To reach his leg he could not, that much he was sure of, and to move it back would be impossible since he couldn't move it at all! Except pain, there was no feeling in the broken limb, and Shio felt helpless for a sec, for no matter how hard he tried to improve, he always messed something up. He couldn't protect his family when he was a pup, they were killed. He wasn't able to survive on his own, humans took him and turned his life into hell. He escaped, but even then he couldn't do anything right. Many times he tried to make friends with other canines, but not even his cheery nature helped, for they all left him. Now he had found Percy, one dog who had showed him kindness, and he couldn't even help him, instead, Shio was making him do everything. The male wanted to bite himself for his own clumsiness and stupidity, but what he was about to do would bring him enough pain as it was, and he sure wasn't enjoying it. Careful not to attract attention, for he wasn't about to make a scene and distract Percy, he bit down into a piece of wood that was laying nearby, and focused on his now useless leg. If he couldn't fix it by himself, he'd have to use something to help him. Moving it ever so slowly, Shio once again, this time on purpose, put his paw into the crack in the floor that made all of this happen in the first place, and stood up, relying on his three good legs not to let him stumble to the ground. The wood in his jaws was slowly breaking, but it would last long enough for he wasn't going to drag this on. Moving a step away, Shinwa pulled as hard as he could and not falling over, and the feeling of the bone going back into it's proper place caused him to bite down even more, small blood stains forming on his maw where the wood had dug into his gums. If dogs could actually sweat, Shio would be soaked right now. He let the wood drop to the floor and slowly removed his paw from the crack. He fell back down as he tried to somehow lower himself on just three legs. The male was panting, his eyes shut as he tried to fight of the darkness that started forming on the edges of his consciousness. It had been a long time since he experienced pain this intense, and he promised to himself that he would never break his opponents bone while fighting again. When he thought it safe to open his eyes, he remembered that he had never given Percy his answer:"Y-yeah.... I th-think I did i-it....((OOC: Sorry if I didn't give you much to use here, but as I already said, I'm still searching for my muse... She's terribly hard to find...lol
