Inuhazure stared in mild confusion at Romeo as he made his way to the exit, wasting almost no time to accept Kanou's offer. He seemed to be trying to hide his feelings, but the pup wasn't so sure he was doing it well. Sure, he couldn't tell what was on the mind of the older wolf, but he was certain he was feeling something. Something not to cheerful, the mutt guessed, and his eyes moved to look at his own feet. Was it that bad, what he accidentally did? Was it the reason the other wanted to leave? Leave? The thought struck Haz like a bolt of lightning, and his eyes widened suddenly. Would he be left alone again? Rejected like countless times before? And why was it he was getting so upset about it? He had known Romeo for just a short while, so why did it matter if he turned out to be like everyone else? The fact that he owed him his life, or, well, his innocence, seemed like a good enough reason to the youngster, but this feeling he had, a feeling that clutched at his heart, making him feel as if he was slowly drowning, told him it was something more. Much more. Haz knew even without having to look that there was a puddle underneath him, tears that had nothing to do with his sickness streaming down his face freely, but he made no sound. It was ridiculous. Acting this way. Why was he making such a fuss over this? I mean, for God's sake, Romeo was just going to hunt, right? But the fact that he hadn't looked at him even once since getting up, not even saying his name made the pup suspicious, and that was never a good thing. To make Haz suspicious meant you had to hurt him real bad, or else he'd just believe you foolishly no matter what, and to hurt him meant to have a teary pup at your feet. And if it was anyone else, that would have been the case. Inuhazure would cling to them until the moment it was impossible for him to continue. But Romeo, he hadn't really done anything, and still, there he was, crying and trying not to make it so obvious. So why then? What caused him to suddenly break down like this? And why didn't he want the wolf to see?
And then it clicked, the answer was just so painfully obvious that it made Haz laugh nervously at his own stupidity. It wasn't the fact that Romeo was going away for a little while that bothered him, he was afraid the wolf wanted to get away from HIM. Afraid that little touch burned the other as much as it pleased him. The thought that it was weird he cared so much about this never came to him, as he was too busy figuring out his own feelings, which now confused him more than ever before.
In his life, many despised him and he never had to think about how he felt toward them. He was always smiling, doing his best to make up for whatever he was doing wrong, for it seemed everyone had something against the pup. He must have done something, right? But this one, the hero with blue fur, why did a simple action that held no true meaning behind it such as accepting to hunt with another make him overreact? Was-was it possible he really felt something toward the big wolf? I mean, really... felt?
Even though it felt as much more time passed, Haz knew that it had been barley a minute since Romeo walked through the door, and the realization of how stupid he must look hit him. There was no use in trying to hide the tears now, cause it was foolish to think no one noticed, so he lifted his head, looking at Ayase with an apologetic look. "I-I am sorry, Ayase, I, just... Haz suddenly laughed, but to someone watching from a side he would have looked as if he was in pain. To laugh was something he didn't feel like doing at that moment, but to bother everyone with his own mixed up feelings? No, that was not his intention. Walking over to the pile of blankets and what not he was laying on before, Inuhazure sat down, his eyes still sparkling, but his maw was stretched into a big smile."Um... Ayase..." searching for a right thing to say, he quickly barked as a thought struck him:"You and Kanou-san seem like good friends... That's nice...." The pup didn't want to stick his nose into someone else's business, so this appeared innocent enough to him.
((OOC: Hey, thanks Phantom! ^^ hehe... I guess it just never seemes good enough... Anyway, yeah, the start is always the hardest part for me as well ^^ Hope you like this one xDD
OK, so I changed the last part a bit, hope this helps...))
