((OOC: Open to Kana and Invader Phantom))
The sun had set, leaving the city to be lightened by countless street lamps that never seemed to break the actual darkness of a place like that. They cast weird shadows in small alleyways, making them look terrifying and menacing. The cold night air was still, for no wind could blow freely with so many buildings. It made it all the harder to breathe, and only if you strained your ears you could hear the whimpering cries of someone in desperate need of help. In one of the darkest streets, far from where humans were passing by, figures of a few dogs could be seen. In the dark, they looked like shadows ready to take you to the underworld, and for a small pup cornered by them, they truly were. Inuhazure was absolutely terrified, scared out of his mind by what these dogs, no, what these creature were going to do to him. It wouldn't be the first time others beat him and made him their chewing toy, but this, this was something different entirely. These weren't going to be satisfied only by hurting him, they have made it clear they wanted to use him.... to rape him.... Innocent blue eyes went wide as one of the dogs approached him, and he froze completely as it's shadow fell over him. His vision was blurred, eyes full of tears caused by paralyzing fear and somewhat by unbearable lack of oxygen. Haz was trying desperately to take a deep breath, but all he was managing to do was gasp, to someone on the side he would have looked like a fish out of the water. The fragile body of a young pup was trembling, no, shaking as he was slowly loosing it. He could feel his sanity slipping, but even though, none of it was going away. The dogs were still surrounding him, and they were only getting closer. Haz closed his eyes, tears slipping to the dirty ground beneath him. "This is not happening... this is not happening...." he chanted in his mind as he felt rough paws on his body. "no...no...no.... STOP!!!" It was last of his breath, and he started coughing violently after that. The young mix could hear the thundering of his heart in hie ears, could feel the burning sensation in his lungs, the blood trickling down some of the small cuts.... Why, why him? Again.... What did he do wrong....? It was always like this, everywhere he went.... He'd get attacked for no reason. But no, this was still not like always, this time they wanted something else from him, something he couldn't bare to give them.... "Pl-please.... just s-stop..."

ROMEO The city was disgusting, repulisve even, compared to his homelands, but Romeus was not to be perturbed by a little filth on his paws. He'd already had something much more important... much more repulsive on his mind. Juliet. He'd been tracking her for a while and was honestly surprised (and pissed) that she'd been able to run so far from his grasp. This goose chase was continuous, like Laelaps and Teumessian fox, their chase going on so long the only end was for both to be turned to stone. In the real world there were no gods (or so he believed) so there was no worry that he would be struck down by some almight force. That meant he had a chance... had a chance to catch the treacherous fox that eluded his vengance. Romeo blinked a couple times to pull himself from his trance, this wasn't the time or place to zone out. He had lost her trail once he entered the city, but was intent on picking up on her again.
The pale, grayish blue brute stopped mid-step. He had returned to the concious world just in time to hear a desperate cry from an alley up ahead. "STOP!" What in the world? Romeo sauntered forwards to peer down the alley. Three to four large, mangy looking dogs had cornered something and were bullying it. At first he would have kept going, it wasn't his problem, but when the light caught right and he saw WHAT they were bullying... and how they seemed to be planning to, he halted. "Pl-please... just s-stop..." The moment the word 'stop' left the pup's lips Romeo's voice rose up. "STOP!" The voice of a wolf, of an alpha's son, of their superior in many more ways than they could think up. Romeo was not necessarily an imposing figure, nor was he prone to violence of any sort. However, in light of the situation Romeo pulled out the feral side of what he had been born as. To the group of thugs there was a dark figure illuminated by the lights of the city behind him, interupting their fun. As he grew closer one would notice the long, narrow jaws of a fierce animal, the towering mass of muscle of a wolf, the commanding gleam in his eyes, the regal walk that commanded as much respect as his eyes.
"Release him... and GET. OUT." He roared, face contorted into that of a hellion's. Romeo lifted him chin high, thanking his inheirited height in the back of his mind. The thugs' eyes were the size of dinner plates as one by one they whimpered and took off, heads low and tails tucked, past him and out of the alley. One seemed like he'd stick around, but he must not have thought Inuhazure was worth the trouble. He to left. In a matter of moments after his arrival, the alley was clear of all except he and the pup. With a look that was both warm and cold at the same time, Romeo looked down at the cowering youth.

Haz dared look away from the ground as he heard another voice beside the ones of his attackers. It seemed like he was looking through the water, and as a matter of fact, he was, for the tears were still flowing freely down his dirtied fur. But still, he could make out a figure of another canine, one that walked toward them. Haz shivered even more as he noticed the aura of authority that engulfed this newcomer. He was too terrified and sick by that time to notice it wasn't a dog that came to help him, but a wolf whose strength far surpassed the street dogs who were trying to use him. Also, his mind was in utter chaos, not comprehending at first he needed not be afraid of the big canine. On shaky legs, he tried to lift himself and back away, but he found himself unable to move more then an inch. The air somehow turned too heavy for the youngster to stand, too thick for him to breathe in.... "Release him... and GET. OUT." Even thought the big wolf was standing only a few feet away, to Haz the voice was so distant, as if it came from so far....But it got through to him, finally, that he would be saved, someone had come to his aid. The shadows towering over his little body moved hesitantly, and were replaced by the one of his new protector. The mix had no idea why, but even though the night was cold and dark, and he was still shaking and gasping, the closeness of this canine brought him some joy. Joy he was too upset to realize he was feeling. Haz lifted his head with some effort, struggling to get some oxygen into his disobedient lungs, and narrowed his sky blue eyes wet from crying to try and see what this dog, no, he finally got it, what this wolf looked like. The male was colored in different, nice shade of blue, that much the pup could tell, but he missed some of the interestingly shaped markings that adorned his body. His lean but yet strong built gave him an elegant look, and all in all, Haz liked him. Very much. But he was too weak to show this, Haz just lowered his head again in an attempt to take a deeper breath so he could thank this stranger. Though, what left his maw after a few seconds didn't very much remind of a voice that could belong to a dog, it was more like a croak: "Th-than-k you.... sir.... I-I thought I w-" he was suddenly interrupted by a coughing fit that made him shut his eyes tight and grit his teeth, as not to cry out as his raw throat felt like it was tearing apart. It took him some time to stop, and when he did, the world was mercilessly spinning. In extreme situations like this one was, the illness that bothered him got worse, bringing him to the edge. Somehow, now with pain mixed in his voice, he finished: "was de-dead...." The look of the wolf's eyes, though, chased the thoughts of death away...

ROMEO With the threat gone he expected himself to turn and leave. He expected the kid to calm down, thank him, and run off. However, it never did turn out as expected, did it? Romeo's bright blue eyes narrowed as the young mix was wracked with a coughing fit that shook his entire frame. The brute's ears flattened against his head, eyebrows scrunching together causing the rose on his forehead to be distorted. "It was nothing. A clear sky fears no thunder." Now that there was no need to be intimidating or commanding Romeo was at a loss for words. He was, no matter what, a quiet and calm soul.
The state of the other's breathing wasn't improving and Romeo snorted. This kid didn't know anything, did he? The wolf lowered his head and nudged Inuhazure's neck. "Stay still. Keep quiet. Streach out your neck, but don't strain it. Keep your airways as wide as possible and breath deep and slow." As he spoke he nudged Inuhazure's neck and muzzle to get him to hold his head properlly. It would help him breath until he could get himself under control. Romeo straightened up some. This kid was in pretty bad shape. He was obviously exhausted, terrified, and fighting to breath. Not only that, but it seemed the dogs had rough housed a bit before he has interveened. He needed somewhere to rest and an alley was not a very good place. In his mind Romeo mapped out the parts of the city he knew. He knew a fae who lived somewhere near that he had met when he went through a city a few months back while chasing Juliet. If he could get the kid there he was sure she could take care of him until he got better (so long as she was fed) and Romeo could continue his chase. "Do you think you can move? I know somewhere near..." His voice was gentle and quiet, a lulling quality to help the younger in his effort to relax. If the pup couldn't he was sure he could carry the still-growing canine there.

The voice of the wolf was soft and calming as he nudged the struggling pup. Haz had heard what the male told him, but to stay still and quiet seemed impossible to him, as he had almost no control over his body. Stretch your neck.... Haz tried to do so,but the coughing had made his body into a curled, shaking ball of fur. For this he needed to relax, and he was just not ready to forget he was nearly raped. But to breathe he had to, so he tried to think of something comforting... Anything. Without realizing it, his muzzle pressed to the front leg of the other, the feeling of warmth washing over him and calming his tense nerves a bit. He found that the coughing fit released it's hold on him if just a little, and he used this opportunity to listen to the wolf's advice. As soon as his neck was in the right position, he discovered that breathing deep and slow as he was instructed wasn't that hard. It felt good, even, to finally fill his lungs with air. It all helped him control himself better, and the symptoms were lessening with each passing second. He looked at the male who straightened a bit, and gave him a weak smile. The only kind he could manage at the moment. There was a strange feeling somewhere inside of him, a feeling he couldn't quite put his paw on. It urged him to get closer to the other, to feel his warmth and get lost in the sound of his breathing... Wait, what?! Haz shock his head a bit too quickly, making him dizzy for a second and he lowered his eyes somewhat in shame. What the hell was he thinking? His thoughts were interrupted again by his savior, who now sounded nothing like he did when addressing the thugs that attacked him. "That voice.... so soft... nice" Haz pondered on the thought of walking for a bit, before realizing he truly had no idea if he'd be able to even stand up, for when he last tried to do so, he failed miserably. It wouldn't work to just wait for an answer to appear by itself, he thought, deciding to try his luck. Gathering all of his remaining strength, the young wolf mix slowly raised himself to his unsteady paws. He was about to say he could, when his legs gave out underneath him, and he hit the ground with a soft *thud*. A small cry of surprise and pain escaped him, as his body was still hurt and over sensitive from the recent events. The small ears were laid back, and Haz had to admit he wouldn't be able to even get up properly, let alone walk. But just then, as he shock his head answering he couldn't, a thought came to his mind that for some reason made him smile. "Maybe he'll carry me..." He imagined how it would feel to relax on the back of this male, to have his fur underneath you.... He could almost see himself laying on his back, his head resting somewhere on his neck.... If dogs could blush, Haz would have been red by now.

ROMEO Romeo was a bit surprised when the younger male pressed against his leg, but only found a calming warmth fill his chest. He'd always been a sucker for pups and the sight of some shaken, beaten kid clinging to him for comfort only made him feel the lack of testosterone. Romeo scowled at that thought, but shook it away. He could deal with his manly pride later. His question was answered by Inuhazure's collapse. With a sigh he laid his ears back, he had figured as much. "Please hang on." For the second time in the past twenty seconds Romeo had to swallow his pride. He gripped the small dog's scruff and with a nimble and gentle (as gentle as swinging someone around could be) swing tossed him onto his back. He rolled his shoulders and shook one hind leg to get the smaller male nestled just right between his shoulders and hips. Satisfied, Romeo turned and began to walk in his usual graceful gait. Oddly enough, the figure on his back didn’t effect the noble stride.
It was odd to feel… warm. He hadn’t felt the closeness of another since- no. He stopped his thoughts right there and hoped his passenger hadn’t noticed that he’d stiffened for a moment. The brute was positive he was getting a lot of stares from passing humans, mostly girls though... who smiled at the situation. Were they enjoying this?! Yes, let's all enjoy the regal BLUE wolf walking through Tokyo totting a three pound, beat up pup on his back. Just wonderful.
Soon Romeo had an idea of where they were and slowly the big city became a smaller zone, suburbs and markets replacing towering buildings and dark alleys. Cars and trains and passing humans were still frequent though. Despite everything going on around the two males Romeo focused on the sounds of their combined breathing. He resisted chuckling at the fact his breath was as labored as Inuhazure's from the effort of keeping up a quick pace with the extra weight. The wolf let out a relieved sigh when his eyes fell upon a warehouse, bordered on one side by a railroad. The home of Rubix, the crazy, purple, cannibalistic fae. He grimanced as he approached, but to his luck the female was on her way out. He smiled faintly at the black female a few feet of him. She rolled her eyes and passed him without so much as a glance at Inuhazure. "Rommy, if he dies I get him, alright? I'll be gone for about three days so do some housecleaning while I'm gone. Ciao!" He opened his jaws to retort, but she was already well enough gone down the road... most likely hunting down some poor dog to devour. For a cannibal, she was a dependable person when you needed her. Romeo continued into the warehouse, glancing around and scowled at the strange lack of bones, fur, and chunks of god-knows-what. Did she EXPECT company or something? Maybe she foretold the future through those bones she collected.
He scoffed and sought out Rubix's bed. He found a pile of blankets, pillows, cushions, and something that looked like a deer pelt (probably stolen from some unfortunate human's car cause she was curious) under a large, broken window. "We're here." His voice was quiet, but seemed to fill the mostly empty warehouse. Romeo lowered himself to the ground and shifted so that Inuhazure could slide off his back. Once the weight was gone he straightened up once again and looked down at the other. Now that all immediate dangers were gone... the awkward came to fill the void. His ears flattened and his took two steps back before sitting. After a moment of studying the floor (because cement is so intricate) he cleared his throat. "I'm Romeo..."

Inuhazure was a bit surprised when the bluish wolf somehow tossed him on his back. Just for a second he pressed lower to the ground, but as the youngster realized other's intention, he let him do as he planned. Once he was settled, Haz let out a sigh of relief, letting his head rest on the strong neck of the male. He felt him shift beneath him, and just for a second he thought how awkward this must look to someone on the side. But unknowingly, the pup enjoyed this situation, maybe even more than he really should have. It was that warm and soft feeling of the body beneath him that made him close his eyes. Haz wasn't doing it on purpose, his body reacted on his own and he relaxed completely, trusting this stranger with everything, his life, even.... The thought of falling asleep right there was pleasing, to say at least, but the wolf had just then entered a street that wasn't as empty as the one before had been, and the sounds of footsteps brought him out of his own little world. Haz had been in the city for a few days, but he spent most of that time hiding and doing his best not to get in the way of larger dogs. That left him no time for actually looking around, and for him it felt as if it was the first time to see this place. He didn't like it. It was far too noisy, the air was smelly and for a sec it seemed to him everyone was looking at them. It felt weird. Noticing the smiles that graced the lips of few passing humans who were looking at them, he wondered if this was amusing to them. Were they actually enjoying this? Oh, whatever.... After being in this area for a while, he got used to the sounds and his eyes closed again, this time bringing complete darkness to the exhausted mix. Haz wasn't aware of his surroundings anymore, and the movements of the one carrying him felt all the more comforting. Letting his mind wonder, he found himself once again laying in an alleyway, but this time a big wolf stood over him, his fangs bared as he glared at the dogs. "Protected.... safe.... warm.... Wait, what?" Haz opened his eyes and looked around in surprise as he was sliding off of the wolf's back. "Oh..." He felt stupid for drifting of to sleep like that, and what he was dreaming about made him all the more uncomfortable. Haz found himself laying on a pile of something, He couldn't name the blankets and pillows for he had never seen them before, but he was grateful he was no longer on the hard ground. But crawl back on the wolf's back seemed tempting.... "I'm Romeo...." The pup brought his head up as the now named wolf spoke, noticing he looked uncomfortable for some reason. "Um.. uh.. I-I'm Inuhazure..." the youngster never liked his own name, the one the alpha of the pack that tortured him for so long had given him... Dog, and a failure... The blue eyes filled with shame and sadness at the memory. "Haz" he added after a few moments. "I am sorry for the t-trouble I caused you, sir.... If I can repay it to you somehow...." His breathing was relatively normal by that time, but Haz still felt the after effects of the beatings and the illness. Also, as there was nothing else to fear, he finally realized just how cold the winter of Japan was. While on Romeo's back, the closeness had kept him warm, but now, he started shivering again, curling up a bit in an attempt to fight off the chillness.

((I just totally noticed that this was open to me as well *fail* sooo… I hope it’s not a bad time to join >_>)) Kanou & Ayase It was cold, not just any cold, but colder than it usually was. It wasn’t necessarily the temperature that made it cold, no, it was the general heartless feeling that had, as of late, surrounded the city. It only made the chill of the air eat away at the fur of the two canines as they made their way back into the city through the suburbs. The sun was setting, and after their small hunting excursion, Kanou had decided that it would be safer to return and find a place to rest for the night.
Ayase, being the follower of the two, agreed with Kanou. Then again, the shepherd always agreed with the elder. He held a great respect for the wolf-dog ever since he had saved his life, not once, but twice without even knowing him. In his mind, it was something that all canines should have respected.
Halfway through the suburbs, Ayase took a good look around their surroundings, finding himself in an area that he didn’t know. “Uh… Kanou?” “Hmm?” The response was hummed, the wolf-dog never missing a beat in his stride. Despite his menacing aura he didn’t mean to display, Kanou seemed oddly laid back and relaxed. “Where are we going, exactly? It was then that Kanou realized that he didn’t really know where they were going. Perhaps they were to stop at the first place they saw that was fit to sleep? At the moment, Kanou found himself not able to care where it was, just as long as it was warm and safe for Ayase. The shepherd then felt the elder’s uncertainty and laid his ears back, padding closer to the rather gentle giant as his head fell closer to the ground. Kanou, noticing the shepherd’s behavior lowered his own head to nuzzle Ayase’s neck comfortingly. “We’ll find someplace.” He reassured as his eyes caught sight of an oddly colored canine of a blue hue.
What interested him more was the fact that the strange colored dog had another on his back. Perhaps another pair similar to Ayase and himself? Only one way to find out?
Picking up his pace, Kanou led Ayase to the warehouse they entered, being careful to keep quiet as he peered into the opening at the two inside, the pup clearly not doing well. Though, unlike Kanou, careful and quiet, Ayase panicked over the smaller dog. Without welcome or warning, he rushed inside to the pups side, ears laid back, “Oh god, is he alright?”Oh… great, well, there that goes. Quietly behind Ayase, Kanou quietly entered, keeping his distance from the others as Ayase continued his nurse-like emotion. Looking up at The larger, blue wolf, Romeo, Ayase lowered his head in a respectful motion. “Is there anything I can get to help?”

ROMEO He smiled shyly when he realized Inuhazure had actually fallen asleep on his back. Romeo was slightly warmed that he gave his name, but was shocked at his shame in it. He had no way of knowing what it meant since he was a foreigner. When he had first some here he was afraid he wouldn't even be able to speak to anyone, or at least understand them. "Don't worry about it... Haz." Romeo was a kind soul, but not a social one. Oddly enough, he wasn't feeling so awkward around this young mutt.
When he saw the younger shiver he scowled, deeply considering curling around him. The pup wasn't the only one getting chilled here, he wasn't from these lands. At that reminder he noted to himself to mention how pissed off he was to Juliet that he'd had to chase her half across the damn planet. Before he could act on his impulse the sound of clicking claws on the cement floor of the warehouse brought him to attention. Romeo visably jumped, hackles raising and his tail puffing out like a pin-cushion. He barely tilted his head to look before a shepherd darted past him to crouch by Haz's side, blabbering about his health. The kid seemed to react to stressful situations so how would he react to the fussing of some stranger. The fact that he, himself, was a strange to Inuhazure oddly made his chest hurt. He had saved his life (or at least his innocence) so didn't that give him the right to say he wasn't just a stranger to the younger? Reguardless, there was no time for that. "Please... quiet. Calm." Romeo's voice was hushed in his reluctance to speak, his ears flat against his skull in indecisivness and his eyes flickered between Ayase's, Inuhazure's, and the again very interesting floor.
Out of nervous habit Romeo looked over his shoulder to see a MASSIVE dog at the doorway! He jumped in surprise for a moment before calming, noticing he didn't seem to have any ill intent. Romeus gave a slight nod in the dog's direction before turning to look at Ayase again. With a scowl he shifted to Haz's other side, the one farthest from the door and behind the younger. It struck him how protective he must look of the small, colorful male. "He was- I found him a bit ago. He seems not to be well. I'm unsure of what would help his condition... In- Haz. Do you need anything? Rubix keeps food and water around here, but it may take awhile to get food... you won't eat what she does." He'd greatly prefer that no one asked what she ate that they wouldn't. No one would be thrilled to know they were currently occupying the home of a cannibal.

"Don’t worry about it… Haz.” Even though he hadn’t known him for a long time, the young mutt enjoyed the soft voice of Romeo, it brought him comfort and caused him to fell unusually nice. Haz realized he could listen to him a lot more. But now, as the cold really started bothering him, the only wish he had was not to curl under those warm things he was laying on, but to get closer to this wolf that saved his life, for his warmth seemed so much more tempting then the lifeless blankets. For all his life, he never stopped craving for company, friends, someone who’d accept him for what he was. Someone who wouldn’t make fun or take advantage of his natural lack of strength and his trust in everyone. Somewhere along the way, Haz started thinking maybe if he could just find someone who wouldn't beat him, it would be good. For there were not many canines who didn’t look down upon him for being half wolf or being naïve as he was. And just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, he showed up. Romeo. If Haz were a human, he sure would have thought how that name fit him perfectly. But the only thing he really knew now was how fast his heart was beating for no apparent reason, how excited he got at the possibility Romeo might lay down next to him. All of his fantasies were, however, interrupted as he suddenly heard someone approaching them fairly quickly, and just a second later, he had another dog standing just inches away. His first instinct told him to move to a safer distance, but as he wasn’t really in any condition to walk, he just curled up a bit more. If it was any other time, he would have been delighted to have more company, but, in the light of recent events, he wasn’t really being himself. But he didn’t have to wait for the slightly older German shepherd to convince him he had no reason to be afraid. ”Oh god, is he alright?” Haz opened his blue eyes and lifted his head to look at the other, for he realized the male had no intention of trying anything similar to what those dogs in the alleyway had. Also, Romeo was now with him, and the pup knew he wouldn’t let him get hurt. “Please… quiet. Calm.” The blue wolf spoke and Haz wondered why he seemed to be uncomfortable with something. Did he do something wrong? Looking up to his protector to try and figure it out, he saw him jump suddenly, and the mix noticed a very big dog standing at the doorway. Before he had the time to react, though, Romeo had calmed down and nodded at the stranger, and he knew there was no reason to be afraid of these two. Moving carefully behind Haz and taking a protective stance, Romeo answered the concerned Shepherd to his question if there was anything he could do, and Haz lowered his head back to the pile he was laying on as the thought of them knowing each other for just a little while didn’t feel right to him. He found himself curious more than he usually was, wanting to get to know this kind-hearted fighter more. He was unsure if he would be allowed to stay with him, if Romeo maybe didn’t want him to tag along, for that was what he did every time he met another. Over time, he got used to being rejected and chased away, but he had an unusual stabbing feeling in his chest at the thought it could happen now. As the next question was directed at him, Haz brought his full attention back to the dogs around him. If he needed anything? Food? For a sec he considered asking the wolf why he couldn’t eat the food this Rubix had, but a funny look in his eyes told him that wouldn’t be such a good idea. “Um… uh, th-there’s really n-no reason for you to tr-trouble yourselves. I am f-fine, my lungs and throat s-still hurt a bit, b-but that’s it. This (just a note, he’s referring to his breathing problems) happens all t-the time.” He just hoped that his vision would clear out soon, and that he would stop feeling sick so he could prove them what he was trying to convince them of. He felt slightly colder than he should have, but the lack of food oddly didn’t bother him for he wasn’t sure he’d be able to keep down anything he ate.

“Please… Quiet. Calm”
Looking back down at the young pup, Ayase suddenly felt very guilty. He didn’t know either of these dogs, and he had just rushed in. What if they already had things worked out? What if he had just ruined something? The shepherd closed his eyes and laid his ears back, biting back a soft whimper as Kanou slowly made his way forward. The larger sighed, feeling the emotions running off of Ayase. If there was anything he was good at, it was displaying them, they seemed to naturally radiate from the young dog.
Lowering his massive head, Kanou gently nuzzled Ayase once again, muttering something incoherent to the others in the younger dogs ear. The brown ears of the Shepherd rose again, albeit slowly as he reopened his eyes, nodding gently. Smiling, Kanou lifted his head again and looked at Romeo on the other side of the pup he now knew as Haz. How strange, it seemed as if his first suspicions were correct? The older blue male seemed to be protective of the younger, it wasn’t hard to pick out with the wolf’s movements and actions. Just like he with Ayase, he would kill - without second thought – anyone who laid a harmful paw on Ayase, and Kanou wondered if this wolf would do the same for the colorful pup below.
“He was- I found him a bit ago. He seems not to be well. I'm unsure of what would help his condition... In- Haz. Do you need anything? Rubix keeps food and water around here, but it may take awhile to get food... you won't eat what she does.”
Kanou found himself wondering just what it was this Rubix he had mentioned ate. It couldn't have been too bad, could it? Why wouldn't the pup want to eat it? Eyes wandered around the place for the first time, from the ceiling, to the rather intricate floor, to the strange bones that laid all around. Maybe he wouldn't ask...
Getting back to his previous thoughts, Kanou closed his eyes, stopping further exploration. Perhaps it would be better if they left the two alone to their previous actions. Yes, that was probably the best. The wolf seemed inviting enough, but he wasn’t sure if he really wanted anyone else there. But, as usual, Ayase had other ideas. “What if I go get him something? It wouldn’t be too hard!”
Despite the fact that the shepherd was indeed correct, he wasn’t sure if Haz, let alone the wolf, would accept his offer. Kanou knew the shepherd was generous and caring, and was only trying to help, but sometimes, things had to be left alone where they were, or the way they were. Reddish eyes moved to look back down at Ayase, whose tail was beginning to wag slowly. He didn’t seem to be too much older than Haz, maybe Ayase was doing the right thing helping the pup, especially since it seemed that he had just had a rather rough time. Interaction with other young dogs was a good thing.
“Um… uh, th-there’s really n-no reason for you to tr-trouble yourselves. I am f-fine, my lungs and throat s-still hurt a bit, b-but that’s it. This happens all t-the time.”
Laying his ears back once again, Ayase took a step closer, kind blue eyes looking Haz over, “Are you sure? I could go hunt something down for you!”

ROMEO Romeus let out a pleased, but silent sigh that no one brought up Rubix's eating habits. He met Kanou's analyzing look and faintly wondered if when he blushed his blue fur turned purple, it didn't since he COULDN'T blush... but that look. Romeo had an itching feeling that Kanou was thinking something of the two, but more embarassing than that was that he found himself not caring. More than anything in the world Romeo feared embarassment, he just couldn't take the attention, but... he should have been embarassed that Kanou thought it, but he was embarassed that he'd NOTICED.
Romeo quickly adverted his gaze and took the chance to stand and trot off to a pile of crates. After a moment of skirting a peculiar pile of meat and bone found what he was looking for. With a gentle grip he carried the rectanglar, clear plastic bottle back to Inuhazure. Softly he laid it on its side in front of the pup and, with a quick snap, ripped off the top side so that it formed almost a bowl of water. With a glance at Haz's face he dipped his head and was about to step back away from the group. He was a very nice person in truth and a good, dependable friend... but he was painfully quiet and perferred company to conversation. He would have gone ahead and pulled from the group, but he was afraid Haz would panic again... that and the small dog was shivering. His greatest fear tapped on his shoulder and said "you're screwed." Romeo's eyebrows pulled together in a scowl, but he swallowed down his embarassment and moved to Haz's side. The wolf plopped down at his side, front paws crossed near Haz's head and his own muzzle tilted away from the others. He REFUSED to look at them. "Haz, if you're hungry or thisty you have no reason not to indulge when offered. Homo vitae commodatus non donatus est... don't gamble it." He barely noticed the foreign words pass his lips, but he honestly didn't care. Romeo doubted any of them knew what it meant, but the point he got across was all the same... and he wasn't about to turn to face them and explain. He was still to busy trying not to make it painfully noticable his heart was about to bust out of his ribs at the close proximity to Haz.
[Phantom, the floor isn't intricate at all xD It's a plain cement floor. I was being sarcastic cause Romeo keeps looking at it like it is. My poor shy Rommy.]

((OOC: OK, I know, I know, just don't kill me, 'K? I'm sorry to make you guys wait, but the school was determined to suck the life out of me... Dx Anyway, I hope this is at least somewhat worth the wait... ^^))
Now that he was absolutely sure there was nothing to be afraid of, Haz could relax completely, or, as much as his condition allowed him to. He looked around the place, not quite liking something about it. He wasn’t sure what though, there wasn’t anything that actually looked weird, just the feeling he was getting. It was good the pup was asleep when Romeo had passed Rubix on their way here, or that feeling would be much greater right now. Although, observing his surroundings was never a habit of his and quickly Inuhazure got bored, averting his attention to the Shepherd who was still at his side. He seemed to be ashamed or something, and when the other dog approached, giving comfort to his friend, or, whatever their relationship was, Haz thought with slight amusement, he looked away. The display of affection hurt him more than he wanted to admit, for no matter how much he tried, still, he never had anyone who cared about him. His thoughts wandered off for a moment, and surprisingly, or maybe not so much, Romeo was the one to show up in his mind. The bluish wolf, even though they knew each other for just an hour or so, had already done for him more that anyone ever had. It was something precious to the young half-breed, and it confused him to a certain extent, this feeling he got every time he thought about him. Did he, was he actually…. Interested in the guy? “No, that’s impossible…” But this thought couldn’t last for more that a split second, for the beating of his own heart provided more than clear answer. He just could not deny the fact that Romeo meant something special to him, and not only for saving his life, or, well, his innocence. He was, however, returned to reality by Ayase’s kind offer to get them some food. Haz really appreciated his willingness to help, and the excited look in the eyes of the older dog made him smile a bit. What a nice guy… Inuhazure nodded his head slowly, ready to accept his offer, but the thought hit him then, what in the world was he doing?! He hadn’t even introduced himself properly, and although Romeo had called him by his name, Haz could be painfully polite sometimes. Even if quite insignificant in others’ eyes, he just wouldn’t let it slide. Whit a comically determined look, he bowed his head to the two dogs, his voice as clear and understandable as he could manage: “I am sorry, I haven’t e-even introduced myself.” Thinking for a bit, he decided to give them his full name instead of shortening it, as he preferred, for in his opinion, they deserved that much for their concern. “My n-name is Inuhazure, Haz for short.” Carefully, he watched if either of the two would recognize the meaning of it, guessing it was pretty easy to notice. And then, in the moment he wished he was invisible, a thing he had so hoped for happened as to confuse the little mix even more. When he said he wanted Romeo to lay down next to him, he thought the wolf would never actually do it. But now, as he felt another body next to his, the water placed near him that he was planning on drinking after his speech was momentarily forgotten, his heart beating too fast for him to think of anything else but the fact that there was absolutely no space between the two of them. And it wasn’t bad, no; Inuhazure enjoyed it far too much to even realize it. When the ability to move returned to him, curiosity beat the shyness inside of him, and the young male turned his head suddenly to look at his saviour. What he definitely DIDN’T expect, was to have his muzzle buried in the fur of his neck, as Romeo had turned his head away. Caught off guard by his own actions, Haz missed completely what the wolf had said, instead blinking in surprise and confusion. Only when the lack of oxygen started burning his lungs again did he remove his muzzle from its furry spot. There was no way for him to be sure, but he could imagine perfectly himself, red. Yes, even if he wasn’t changing colors, the pup was definitely blushing like mad. He didn’t even notice he stopped shivering somewhere along the way. Getting to his feet somehow, just so he would be doing something beside feeling both embarrassed and confusingly delighted at the same timehe almost fell over, making a few insecure steps before looking at the Shepherd: “Um, uh… Yeah… That-that would be great… I mean-if you don’t mind…” Inuhazure was feeling extremely stupid by that point, and his only wish was that he had had more courage to stay at his spot, right next to Romeo….

(I wouldn’t be so sure. LOL! With all those bones, I’m sure there’s some rather interesting blood spill stains >_>… and Kyu *pokepokepoke* STOP BEING SO HARD ON YOURSELF Dx your posting is fiiiiiiiiiiine! But… I do understand school, all too well really >_< Why is it that I always find the hardest part of my posts is just getting them started? After that, they all just kinda spill out, but that damn start *grumbles* I swear to god, I spend at least 15 minutes trying to figure out what to do >_>)
Reddish eyes followed the movements of the blue wolf as he retrieved the water bottle. There was something about the wolf that alerted Kanou to the fact that he seemed almost insecure around Haz. Ears perked suddenly as an idea ignited in his mind, a small smirk touching the corners of his lips.
“I am sorry, I haven’t e-even introduced myself. My n-name is Inuhazure, Haz for short.”
Kanou turned his attention back toward the pup as he spoke. He had indeed caught the meaning behind the name, knowing the language all too well, but instead of making fun at him or suddenly disapproving of the pup all together as he assumed many before him did, he felt sorry for the young one, and knew Ayase felt the same, if not worse. Laying his ears back, he sighed softly, turning the look in his eyes into a gentle one. He didn’t want to scare the pup if he hadn’t already by his sheer size and more so menacing looks. It was a grim fact about Kanou, the way his past affected how he looked now, and more often than not did it come in handy, but now, now wasn’t the time for it.
“Hi Haz!” Ayase spoke with great enthusiasm, though did his best to keep his voice from escalating, “My name’s Ayase!” With his introduction, Ayase looked up at his companion, tail swaying slowly as a smile worked its way back onto his maw.
“Kanou.” The name was stated simply, but he did his best to keep his voice soft as well, remembering the earlier words of the wolf. Speaking of the wolf… Kanou looked back toward the blue canine, now laying behind Haz, the pup accepting Ayase’s offer for food. Clearing his throat, he stepped out from behind Ayase, shooting a look at the shepherd. “Why don’t you stay here with Haz instead, Ayase.” The first half of his offer was made as his eyes trailed back to Romeo, “And let me and the blue one get something for the both of you to eat.”
The offer was now completed, and Kanou could only hope that Romeo would accept. He wanted to know more, not only about the strangely blue canine, but the relationship that he and Haz held, and perhaps, offer some advice?

ROMEO Somewhere in the world there was a yaoi fangirl squealing at how epic, yet embarassing this situation was. Romeo's entire body tensed, one muscle at a time when Haz's nose swung to look at him... and buried his muzzle right into his scruff. A tense shudder curled straight up his spine and Romeo desperatly tried to hide the fact that inside he was freaking out. When Haz seemed to make a miraculous recovery, springing up to answer Ayase's answer, Romeo finally let his hackles relax. With a mental shake he glanced at the three from the corners of his nearly neon blue eyes. "Is it wrong to want to pounce him like prey- WHOA! No, no, no, no, no. Not going there."
Kanou was officially a lifesaver, which was probably pretty rare for the massive dog Romeo couldn't help but think. "I agree. Ha- You two stay here." Oh that's just great, he couldn't even say the kid's name right now. The wolf pleaded to whatever higher power there was that no one laughed. One giggle and he'd be damned to hell. Embarassment seemed to be having a lot of fun screwing with him today. Romeo grimanced as he realized his choice of vocabulary. Where's a confession booth when you need one?! He was, luckily, able to swiftly gain his paws and glide with his regular elegance past the two younger and Kanou. If the other was sincere about the offer he'd follow. Romeo had no reason to spend one more moment in that warehouse with that cursed mutt would was causing him this awkward situation. His eyes hardened, but not at Inuhazure. Romeo was slightly ashamed at both his thoughts and the fact he was so quick to run away... he always had, why change now?
