[Open to Kyouran, Monty and Possk.] Ayanami The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over the valley before him as he stopped at the ledge of the cliff. This was supposed to be a peaceful area, so he had heard - a paradise, if you will. And to many dogs, it was. But to him, it was nothing. There was none of the comforting feeling that it gave other dogs for him, there wasn’t that offer of a safe haven for him. There never was when he was a pup, there wasn’t now that he had returned, and there never would be. “Ou…” The word rolled off of his tongue with disgust as purple eyes narrowed.
Turning away from the cliff, Ayanami slowly made his way down the mountain, ears laid back with annoyance. Why… why had he come here, of all places he could have gone first after his return from Barsburg? What was so entrancing about this land? Was it the smell of the blood of ancestors come and passed? Or was it the fact that he felt he could find something of value here, despite his hatred for the area? He cut his own thoughts off with a soft growl, closing his eyes to allow his mind’s eye to take over.
A blanket of black engulfed the world, a silver thread weaved its way through that blanket to outline his surroundings. He saw more now. The local pack gathered miles away, deer running from his presence in fear, the babbling of the creek to his left and the birds flying overhead. But, none of this mattered to him. He wasn’t particularly in the mood for a fight right now, he wasn’t thirsty nor did he hunger. Which once again made him wonder…
Why was he here?
Reaching the bottom of the mountain, Aya opened his eyes again, the black fading away as he came to a stop. A soft breeze picked up - sweeping gently through his fur, rustling through the grass below his paws and waved the cloak at his side. Closing his eyes once again, he breathed in deeply, inhaling all the scents that it brought to his maw, ears laying back as he tilted his head with the wind, rather enjoying its caress. With the dying of the breeze died off, Aya lowered his head with the breeze before opening his eyes yet again to look at the ground. Most of the snow had melted in this area, would spring be coming soon?
The sun now hid its face behind the mountains as if in shame, allowing the full moon to take its reign in the sky. The night air was much cooler and more crisp, causing the air from Aya’s mouth to form into small clouds that rose into the sky. It was also much darker now, despite the light from the moon, which meant that his mind’s eye would be of more use to him over his normal eyesight. Closing his eyes yet again, he allowed the blanket with silver thread to cover his world, his senses becoming more acute with the transition. But, to his surprise, there was something new in the line of his mind’s eye. Something that wasn’t there before, something that even he – the best of the military dogs in Barsburg – hadn’t noticed.
Someone else.
Turning to face the direction that the silver outline of the creature stood, Ayanami steeled himself, his paws shifting below him in a stance to prepare himself for whatever this encounter would bring. He wouldn’t run, no. That wasn’t in his character. That wasn’t what he was trained to do. And he held the values that he was taught close. He would stay, he would hold his ground and he would fight, if need be. The creature moved closer and closer, and Ayanami tensed more and more, each muscle in his body aching to attack. But this wasn’t the military, this was the wild. And in the wild, attacking a stranger before assessing them could get one into trouble.

((OOC: I hope it's all right for me to post now...))Inuyasha/Sesshomaru It was steadily getting darker, the setting sun’s glow replaced with the silver light of the full moon, as it proudly worked its way on the winter sky. It caused some of the shadows to retreat, leaving a trail of low light behind, making it appear as if there was a beautiful battle going on, blackness vs. silver. The breeze carried fresh smells of the surrounding area, having a story to tell the one who paid attention to it. The black nose rose in the air, taking in the valuable information. Eyes closed, the big figure turned away, having not found what it had been looking for. There was an aura of displeasure and mild annoyance enveloping it, but the emotion couldn’t be read on the night-hidden features of the creature. Sesshomaru let out an irritated huff, and it was to be the one and only sign of the way he felt. The gold eyes, when opened again, revealed only coldness that could rival that of ice. There was no display of anger that started building up inside of him, nor the discomfort he was experiencing. Only icy stare that dared anyone who came across the Lord of The Western Lands to say something. With slow and measured steps that spoke of the authority, Sesshomaru made his way over to a creek nearby, careful not to disturb the silence brought by the last rays of sun disappearing. The water made the noise that felt good to the hellhound, the simple yet beautiful melody calming his nerves and easing his mind. Sess felt he needed to relax, he knew that not even his body could handle days without rest or taking care of his injuries. At that, a slight pang of pain caused him to flinch, glancing angrily at the bloody trail on his shoulder. But the fire died down as soon as it appeared, and the great Lord cursed himself silently for letting himself lose his cool for a moment. The water running down his sore throat brought the chills down his spine, but the hellhound shrugged it of. It was not the time to complain, he had a tiring job of cleaning the bloodstains to do. If there was something that truly caused his disapproval, it was the way Inuyasha treated their body. He let the snow white fur get dirty and less than perfect, getting head first into fights without a second thought. Sesshomaru allowed the dangerous glint to appear in his eyes as he thought of the loud and the most disgraceful character he was forced to share his precious body with. That filthy brat didn’t deserve to be looked at the same way as him. Pushing this in the back of his mind, the male cast one last glance at the overlooking moon before the first drops of dried blood fell, lost in the water and carried away under the silver light. Seconds passed, than minutes, and finally, almost an hour. The stars were clear and visible enough to inform Sesshomaru he finished his work quicker than he had originally imagined he would. It was most satisfying, but he let it not show. The great Lord shall not make a fool of himself, unlike the rude kid that always craved attention and approval, thus causing trouble and making himself look low and unworthy in the eyes of Sess. He shook his fur, droplets of water falling all around him, before the next gust of wind made him regret that decision. The air was bone chilling when, during the night, it connected with wet skin. He… was getting annoyed with this place. Sniffing the air yet again, Sesshomaru concentrated on every single scent that reached him, sorting them and searching for some that would manage to perk his interest. Letting his eyes wonder to his right, he seemed perfectly impassive as he moved his paws across the ground half covered with snow. He could see with no trouble in the darkness, the gold of his eyes shining in the night. Sesshomaru’s movements were determined and filled with grace at the same time, as he always took the time to act royally. The direction of the smell he followed led his away from the sounds of running water, and his body felt grateful when he reached the area with more trees, the wind lessening to a breeze. Although showing nothing, he set his eyes on the shadowy figure of his target, still to far away to be clearly seen. But the unmistakable scent of a dog told him almost everything he needed to know, while the instinct warned him there was more to that individual than the one would expect. Finally close enough, Sesshomaru made sure his face didn’t show any traces of emotion, before officially making his presence known. He had no intention of picking a fight for no reason while still recovering from the wounds his “brother’s”, as he referred his other personality to, actions and recklessness had caused. His pride wouldn’t let him hide though, and the very thought of being considered a coward disgusted him, urging him forward. Expression blank, he took notice of the male that stood before him, ready to attack if need be. The fact that the stranger had his eyes closed at first offended the Lord, but he wouldn’t let himself act rash. A few seconds passed, and he decided the one must have something to make up with for his lack of visual contact. Sesshomaru wouldn’t go as far as to underestimate any possible opponent, no, that was something reserved for Inuyasha. Shifting the great sword that lay on his back, he made it so the hilt of the blade was closer to his maw and easier to reach if he was forced to use the weapon. Not that his claws and fangs that could cut through almost anything didn’t make deadly weapons as well. But he wasn’t going to take chances, if he was to be attacked, no mistakes were allowed. The smaller sword that the male carried caught his eye, and he lat the smallest of smirks grace his maw before even that sign of amusement was gone. So, he had a pleasure of running into another swordsmen, and if the powerful aura was anything to judge it by, a skilled one at that. Sesshomaru took another step forward, and spoke in a level, yet commanding voice that was filled with authority. “You do not want to pick a fight with me, boy.” The truth was that Sess was younger than the other, but his nature and his extremely high opinion of himself allowed him to look at the actually older canine as if he was standing before a mere pup. A dark cloud covered the moon, enveloping the two forms in darkness, while not one of them was fazed by the lack of light…

Mashinkage
Mashin was having one of his newly created lazy days. On these kinds of days, he'd spend ours in a tree, or laying on a rock. Whether it be meditating, or soaking up the heat of the nearing spring sun...he was trying to enjoy himself. On this particular night, his spine began to tingle, something wasn't right...as he closed his eyes to focus, two figures appeared in his mind. He could feel violence in the one that stood below him, who spoke. The pup's words brought a smirk to his maw. With silence and ease, he bounded from one tree to the next, landing in a tree between the two soon to be combatants as he hopped down quietly.
To his left, he felt the tension and anticpated fight flowing from the canine. He slowly let his eyes wander back and forth between the two before he decided to speak.
"Good evening...I am Mashinkage of the Koga Ninja dog tribe...I hope I'm not interrupting anything..." He smirked calmly as he rolled his neck to observe both their swords. :: Looks like if they want a three way throw down, I'll have to watch myself...How fun!:: His muscles tightened and tensed as he prepared himself physically and mentally to evade a sneak attack.

(Nope, you're both fine xD. It's an open thread. *nods* The silver lining is the Mind's eye. If you look in the anime, its basically describing how Bat sees with it.)
Black claws dug themselves into the ground below his paws as the silver figure crawled out from the bushes. The silver outline of the creature told him it was another canine, but its scent... its aura told him something completely different. It didn't matter though, not to him. Aya had faced many monsters on the battlefield, this one would be no different, and if they fought, this one would fall, just like all the others.
And, like many of the others he had fought before, this one carried a rather large sword - and more than likely, it wasn't just for decoration. It was then that the smaller creature opened its maw, speaking. So, you can speak. Interesting... Many of the other monsters he had faced on the battle field couldn't talk. Made solely to fight, kill and die. Nothing more, nothing less.
“You do not want to pick a fight with me, boy.”
Ayanami found this amusing. The tone the younger creature used, the way he asserted himself - he was in no position to be doing so, and Aya would not put up with this kind of treatment. This dog... this... monster before him, would regret toiling with him. Raising his head, a small smirk graced the corner of Aya's maw. "No, You're right. I don't. Because, pup, you're not worth my time."
About the time that he finished his own remark, he picked up the presence of another canine, courtesy of his mind's eye. And again, he sensed something different about this canine. It traveled not on the ground, but through the trees - and it traveled straight for them. Three trees, two trees - now. Aya tilted his head up as if he were looking at the canine above, though his eyes were closed. The canine above didn't stay perched for long, quickly taking a spot between him and the brash male, and he didn't hesitate to introduce himself.
"Good evening...I am Mashinkage of the Koga Ninja dog tribe...I hope I'm not interrupting anything..."
How amusing. Why would one give his name out so suddenly? But the thought didn't stay long, as his mind drifted from one thing to another. Ninja clan, hm? Interesting. I've heard of the Koga, never had the pleasure of fighting, and perhaps... killing... one though. Maybe today will be my lucky day. His smirk faded slowly as the thought crossed his mind. He really wasn't in the mood for a fight today, but it seemed, his mood had no say in the matter. The overconfident oaf on the other side of Mashin seemed to be in the mood to fight, despite his words. And if this koga, who threw himself into the ring so willingly, came in hopes of the same thing, there was certainly no way out.
Oh well. Opening his purple eyes to the others for the first time that night, Ayanami picked himself out of his stance. Though, just because his stance was broken, his train of thought wasn't, and every other fiber of his being still remained prepared, as they always were. "No, not at all. As a matter of fact, there was nothing of my interest here," Aya's purple eyes moved from the koga, to the hellhound and back, "until now."

"No, You're right. I don't. Because, pup, you're not worth my time."
At this, a dark, emphasis on dark, shadow appeared on his features, a growl forming deep in his chest. The rage could be seen in the gold eyes that lacked their usual coldness, for this remark enraged the Lord beyond anything that could be kept hidden. He was close to losing his posture and control entirely, close to going into blind rage and slaughtering the rude creature. How dare he?! The lowlife gave himself the rights to insult the great Sesshomaru in such a way! To consider his presence insignificant. “Not worth his time”? That was unforgivable! Not to be forgotten, ever! Maybe, to another canine it wouldn’t have made such a difference, but his pride wouldn’t let him overlook this, not the least.
All the while, he struggled to keep his appearance as cold as possible, not to lose his cool for he knew he’d only look weak if he did. He was not the one to make the mistake of thinking lashing out would bring him the desired effects. Enemies would look down on him if he didn’t keep a level head, and he had no intentions of allowing anyone do that. So Sess wasn’t going to keep him mouth shut, not after a remark like that. No. Eyes narrowing to slits, he spoke in a voice that was filled with muffled rage, shaking with fury that desired to crush the insolent brat. “You shall not speak to me in that manner, boy! Or… I will make sure you are unable to speak ever again.” The air around him was cold, the wind was picking up, ruthless and freezing in the winter night. The aura surrounding Sesshomaru was dark. He was not to be messed with right now.
After his reply, the anger subsided, if just a little, but enough to allow Sess to think again. He picked up the scent of another canine, approaching fast. The smell was unfamiliar to him, and he paid no more attention to it, until, just a few seconds later, he could hear the newcomer. The rustling of leaves and bending branches, as well as the sounds of frightened birds and little animals that quickly moved away got his curiosity, as he realize that the dog was nearing them, using trees to move instead travelling on ground. Having spent greater part of his rather short life in the lab, Sesshomaru had never seen another canine act this way, and it perked his interest. When the stranger landed straight between the two of them, the gold eyes inspected him for a second, before the dog spoke.
"Good evening...I am Mashinkage of the Koga Ninja dog tribe...I hope I'm not interrupting anything..." “What? How stupid. This one must be a fool like Inuyasha to freely reveal his own identity to complete strangers. He doesn’t posses a brain.” Sesshomaru thought while letting none of these thoughts reach his face, keeping his appearance as emotionless as ever. He had no idea who those “Koga Ninja dogs” were, and it wasn’t going to bother him for he had another brat to take care of first. But before he could make his move, the one referred to as “brat” spoke, earning himself a dark and murderous look from Sesshomaru. “No, not at all. As a matter of fact, there was nothing of my interest here, until now."
It took only the split second for the Lord to pick up on the meaning behind those words, and the anger was back full force, making a snarl form on his maw. This kid was pushing his luck, really. No one insulted him like that and got away with it. No one. Sesshomaru shifted, making sure the sword was in its place before making his next move. He didn’t wish for the great blade to fall off or cut its master. Due to the fact that his body was fairly small for a hellhound, he weighted not much and could easily do what he planned.
Crouching slightly, careful not to make a sound as he did so, muscles tensing in anticipation, Sesshomaru pushed himself off the ground, his body moving fast as he gained height. The feeling of being in air was as amazing as always, and he took a moment to enjoy it before focusing fully on task at hand. There was no turning back now. Shifting in midair, Sess grabbed Tokijin in his maw, taking the big sword off his back and titling it sideways, so it didn’t get in his way. Eyes directed at Ayanami, he had completely shut out the rest of the world, for nothing else mattered as much now. He landed only a few inches away from the other swordsmen, dangerously close, with the blade on his other side.
“You should never underestimate the possible opponents, boy.” His tone regained the previous coldness, having placed his anger under control. The next gust of air carried the scent of upcoming danger, and he realized with slight amusement that this night might not be as bad as he had thought earlier. Forgetting about his self-advice not to start anything while not yet fully healed, the world was now restricted to this place, a ring where a possible death match would be held.
“What are you doing with my body, Sesshomaru?!” The voice in his head startled Sess more than it had ever before, and the Lord let himself silently curse his “brother” for choosing the worst time to take interest in what he was doing. If he was going to middle in his business, it could mean trouble.

The rage that formed on the others face rather amused Ayanami. Here this canine was, talking all big and bad, and he couldn't even keep his cool. As much as Aya wanted to avoid this fight, he found himself drawn more and more to it by the visible promise of an opponent who would snap easily by the smallest of taunts. Perhaps that was the sadist within driving him. And the sadist was winning.
“You shall not speak to me in that manner, boy! Or… I will make sure you are unable to speak ever again.”
Oh yeah, he definately thought highly of himself, but... did he have the gall to back it up? Here, he could finally relate to the other creature. Ayanami also thought highly of himself, but he had good reason to. He had the skill to back up his bold statements, thoughts and ideals. If this canine wanted a match of skill, Aya would be happy to deliver. "You have big ambitions for such a small, rather feeble looking creature." Purple eyes ran over the white and red coat of the hellhound before him, a small smirk once again gracing his maw. "I wouldn't try anything with me if you value your life. Your kind is all to easy for me to slay."
The pup should feel honored. At any other time, Ayanami would have killed any of his kind on the spot, no questions asked. But here, he was offering the other a chance to save his life - he thought it was pretty generous. Turning his attention from the hellhound to the Koga dog once again, taking his first good look at the canine. The oddly spotted brown pelt that covered the body that was half the size of Ayanami's own intrigued him. He had seen Shikoku's before, but never one so spotty. His main body build reminded him of Hyuuga, his comrade who was also part Shikoku. But what got him the most interested, was the story behind the three rings in the canine's ear.
What's the story there, I wonder. Human interaction of some sort, perhaps? His time to think about it was cut short as movement from the hellhound drew his attention back. As he crouched down and pushed into the air, Aya felt something warm rush through his veins, exciting every inch of his being. Fire. Thrill. Anticipation. It had been a couple weeks since he had slayed his last on the battlefield, and he missed it. It was the only thing he missed about the Barsburg militia.
Shifting in the air, the hellhound drew the giant sword from his back and the fire flowing freely through Aya's veins intensified. He hadn't been this thrilled in a long while. Flying down through the air at him, the determination and fury in the eyes of the hound was easily seen. A smirk flashed across Ayanami's maw as he decided it was time to make his move. Like a blur, his form moved and seemingly disappeared as he drew his own sword and leaped up at Sess, tilting the blade upward toward his stomach. Landing in the lower branches of the tree above, he sheathed his sword as quickly as he had drawn it and looked back at the hound.
He didn't care if his blade had connected with flesh or not. The move was a warning in every way. A warning shot, a warning to the hellhound of his capabilities and speed. Purple eyes narrowed slightly, his face passive and stoic as ever.
“You should never underestimate the possible opponents, boy.”
The smirk returned to his face as he closed his eyes, allowing his mind's eye to take over once again. But, what he expected to see, wasn't there. Instead, he was overwhelmed with the feeling of surprise. What's this? Turning around on the branch, Aya shook the strange, foreign feeling and licked his maw. "I was trained to kill your kind without mercy, you're all the same, no matter what size you are. Underestimating has nothing to do with it. You're no different from the others."
Oh yes, it had definately begun.
"They all fell to me. You will be no different."

With great excitement he watched the two combat each other with their blades. Although they were fast and obviously powerful, he was not impressed. Without a second thought he leaped up into a tree and snapped a branch off. There was no time to waste in this ninja's mind as he quickly chewed up the branch in his mouth, storing several rough and nasty slivers and splinters in his maw. Smirking happily, the dog jumped from the branch, starting to spin himself in the air, throwing those makeshift ninja needles at the hellhound who had just landed on the ground. After his barrage from above, he landed nimbly on a tree parallel to Aya. He hadn't landed for more than a few seconds before lunging at the branch below Aya, clamping his assassin's fangs in deep into the wood as he began to spin. After a few rotations he snapped the branch from the tree and went flying into another tree. "Heh-heh..."

((OOC: Sorry for the delay >_>))
The great Lord froze in the middle of his actions, becoming as still as the stone as his golden eyes slowly lost the light in them, making him appear unconscious, as he indeed was. Even though Sesshomaru was still on his paws, not falling over or crumbling to the ground, he wasn’t aware of his surroundings and the battle he had so willingly started was forgotten to him. The smallest of shivers ran through his body, and it was the only movement besides breathing that indicated he was still alive. All the emotion was gone from his face, eyes, even the usual coldness couldn’t be seen on his features. It was all just plain blank, void of anything… But though he looked this way on the outside, for everyone to see, the hellhound himself, in his mind, was somewhere far away, battling the opponent who had nothing to do with either Ayanami or Mashinkage.
The darkness engulfed the entire place, making it impossible to determine if anything was present within it. Anything, except for the two fighters who stood facing each other, both livid, their eyes ablaze with the built up fury and hatred they both stored for the other. One of them, taller, tho just slightly, had an aura of cold destruction that held no mercy around him, and he lifted his head high, looking down on his opponent with disgust and authority. The smaller of the two, didn’t pay that much attention to how he was displaying his emotions, and his head was lowered, teeth bared and his face contoured in pure rage. He was like the living fire, the air that surrounded him becoming hot and bright, burning anything stupid enough to get in his way.
The first one to make any movement to actually attack was Inuyasha, his fangs ready to cut through the flesh of his so called brother, the only one who managed to penetrate into his mind and take away the last bit of control he had over his actions. He despised Sesshomaru for appearing, and he absolutely ignored the fact he was his own mind’s product. It didn’t stop him from growing ridiculously mad every time he thought about it. And he knew his big brother, as he had once called Sess on a rare occasion he was in the good mood, thought exactly the same, only Sesshomaru found Inuyasha disgusting creature not worth the air he breathed. And he used every chance he got to remind him of just how worthless and pathetic he really was. But even though he was never the one to listen to others’ opinions and let them get to him, constantly having your mind tell you you should die managed to, in the end, hurt him to the point he hated Sesshomaru more than anything else. More than the scientists that made him a monster he was and who were the main reason his mind split in two in the first place.
The big paws moved swiftly across the unseen ground, making no sound as Inuyasha neared his brother, eyes set on his target. He aimed at Sesshomaru’s face, hoping he’d be able to sink his teeth into his maw before he himself got bit. The white body came at the bigger hellhound with amazing force and at top speed, but where Inuyasha closed his jaws and expected them to clasp around flesh, they met only empty air. Inuyasha blinked, confused for a second to what had just happened. But he didn’t allow himself to dwell on it long, growling he spun around, eyes searching for his look-alike brother. He was going to pay for making him feel miserable for such a long time…
Sesshomaru was a tad bit surprised at how much stronger Inuyasha had got since they last fought like this. It had been a while, he had to admit, for in a last few weeks mostly his brother was in control and the Lord was satisfied in staying down and enjoying his peace. It changed, tho, when the hot-headed brat got himself hurt and helpless in the middle of a fight with some weaklings. Taking over back then required no effort on his part, for Inuyasha was completely out of it, furious and out of his mind for something he had been told, making a perfect distraction for Sesshomaru to push him back without having to battle for it. Now he stood, calmly, and observed as his younger brother looked at him angrily, disappointed that the Lord’s maw was still intact when he was so intent on ripping it off. It amused Sesshomaru somewhat, but he was careful enough not to let it show in any way.
On the outside…
Sesshomaru hadn’t moved one bit, and some time had passed since he landed. But signs of his inner battle were appearing on his features, although he was absolutely unaware of that fact. His fangs were slightly bared, and a small amount of blood trickled down his maw from where his teeth pierced the skin. He was tense, trembling a bit, but certainly not because he was cold. The golden eyes were still distant as before, but now fire was engulfing the coldness that they have displayed so far, making Sesshomaru seem like someone else entirely. And indeed, he was slowly changing, with Inuyasha pushing him back in his mind.
The stain of blood on his stomach hadn’t grown very much, proving that the wound Ayanami had inflicted when jumping past him wasn’t deep or dangerous, but still, if he were conscious enough for that now, Sess would have felt it sting. The splinters embedded in his back and side, though, were a whole different story altogether. They have went in pretty deep, causing the blood to flow freely as the time passed. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him or even make him unable to fight, but it would certainly give him a slight nausea and dizziness. But that would come once he was fully back.
…
Inuyasha towered over fallen Sesshomaru, a wide grin plastered on his maw even though he was panting and struggling to keep himself upright. The satisfied glow in his eyes tamed the fire, but didn’t make it go away. On unsteady paws, he moved a bit closer, not once looking at anything else but his elder brother. It was… intoxicating to finally win a fight, not to be let to take over, but to actually earn it with his own strength. It made the feeling of pride rise up within him, it made him drop his guard for a moment, but it was all Sesshomaru really needed to take action and be, once again, full control. Quickly, too much so for Inuyasha to have the time to dodge, he had his fangs buried in his throat, applying more pressure with each passing second. The blood that now ran over his tongue and into his throat made him smirk while still digging deeper.
Inuyasha should have known, this was one time when he would have been better of acting like his brother. Letting himself become reckless for even that little bit was the biggest mistake he had ever made so far, and it cost him the win he so much wished to be true. The cold teeth in his throat were a perfect reminder of the fact that dream was yet to be fulfilled, and the pain was becoming too much for him to take. Inuyasha felt himself lose the control, being entirely pushed back and soon, where he once stood, there was just a air. He was gone, for now, leaving Sesshomaru alone to slowly recover and return to the world awaiting him. One more time, he was a winner that got to walk you into the reality.
…
The fire died down, and the aura that indicated Sesshomaru’s presence was back full force, even icier than before. He blinked. The sight of his own leg greeted him, and the taste of blood in his mouth somewhat confused the Lord. He knew that his fight with that brat was only happening in his mind, so why was he really bitting down on something. When the pain shot through the same leg he was looking at stupidly, it clicked. Opening his jaws and releasing his limb, he brought his head up and spat the blood out. So he had bit himself in the moment Inuyasha was the one to feel it, just when he let his guard drop. A smirk danced on his maw, for he was pleased with how the things had worked out. It didn’t bother him the least that the pain was intensifying and that his sight was not nearly as clear as it should have been. He assumed the stinging feeling in his stomach and back helped there as well, but he wasn’t about to turn his head and look. It was clear enough he was wounded, but it was also clear it wouldn’t stop him, not now.
“Now, I don’t know who you fought in the past that was of “my kind”, brat, but I am not to be compared to the likes of those miserable beings.” He finally lifted his eyes, glancing shortly at Ayanami before letting them wonder around, taking in the surroundings one more time. “I do not deny the fact your skills would be admired and feared by many, but don’t expect anything like that from me.”
