OoC So I decided to make things a bit more intresting. So yeap our girl likes Beowulf =3 . The large building was standing tall, and silent in this cool, dark night. The building was a facility of experiment, experiments that were quite controversial. Those who worked within these cold, white walls needed to be a specific type of human. They needed to be heartless, so much that they could not have one inch of sympathy for the creatures they deform. Sure, the Spotted and Stripped Hyena mix found these people to be quite disgusting, that fact would not make her change her mind of being a guard. Hell, as if she had a choice to not do what she was doing. Those very own people were the ones who raised her, and forced her into this line of work. Oh well, it fed well and it did keep her in shape. But most of all, it gave her a purpose to live. But, not the way you would think, folks. No. Our little girl had a crush on the most morally wrong type of guy. She had a crush on a Liger. His name was Beowulf, and he was the head of the security unit, here in the lab. Though half of his blood belonged to those of her ancestors enemy, the lion (who probably killed her ancestors), she did not care. The main reason for her abandonment of "common sense" was probably because of her lack of nature she had experienced. After all, she was raised in captivity and being a "captive" numbed her keen sense of fear for her should be-enemy. But nonetheless, Nyarai lived on. And tonight, she had no idea where he beloved "little" boss was. It had been over 24 hours that she last saw him, and she was aching to see him. Even if it was just a glimpse. The african animal, sulked quietly as she inhaled the scent of the dark night, looking for any stupid intruders comming her way. Though it was such a foolish thing to do, you would be surprised in how many times dogs and wolves alike would try to invade the peremisis. Fooling critters. Most would be captured for further experiements, but others would be slaughtered. Though contrary to a lot of Hyena beliefs, Nyarai was not one to kill, at least without the command. She had to hear her boo's honey voice tell her to end the life of the victim she had already tasted in order for her to actually do so. It was just another thing that set her apart from her wild kin. The black and white female slowly made her way to the outer quarters of the large, concreted property. Her bright orange eyes widdened, showing her slit pupils. As you see the scientists that raised her, did their share of altrications on the exotic beast. They heightened her night vision, that so of night cats. Though she was forced to wear a bandage for several days, in the end her blind times were all worth it. Now, no critter could get pass the beautiful fae, be it in the day or at night. The Hyena abruptly haulted to a stop as she felt sharp pains in her stomach. She was not hungry, nor had she recieved any injuries lately. Her slits widdened into ovals as she finally realised what it was. Something that Nyarai found quite unusual was that the scientists did not "fix" her. She heard them bickering about this fact one hot afternoon. She found out that the reason for this was that if she was to keep her reproduction "factory" it would keep her aggressive and not lazy. Whatever the reason, she wished that she had her uterus removed, so those strong urges wouldn't be a hassal to her being..especially because there were no male hyenas around.. And this was precisouly why she wanted Beowulf around, as moraly wrong and "nasty" as that sounded. Sure, there were more Hellhounds that patrolled the area along them, but they weren't her cup of tea. They seemed quite...stupid to be frank. And were too...pleasing of their owners. They were quite dogs Nyarai thought. They only made fun of her different "parts" and would not even think of "touching" her because they would consider themselves to be gay if such a thing would happen. Being a female hyena was tough if you weren't enclosed with other Hyenas. Other species thought that you were a male, or perhaps a hermophrodite. But this was not the case. The genetalia of a female Hyena's resembled a male's, but wasn't that a good thing? For one, a female Hyena could not get raped, and thus giving her the power to choose her partners instead of just accepting her partner. But still, life was sometimes hard for the zebra stripped female.[/ul]

Beowulf Tonight was just not his night. In a fit of blind rage, Bossman had yelled at him for not bringing back any of the hellhounds. So it was his duty, yet again to go out and find them. He had been our all day, roaming and questioning poor canines and wolves alike if they had seen any of these. And for those who didn't answer how he wanted, and none of them can answer how he wanted. He killed them without rhyme or reason. With another day yet wasted, he made his way back to the lab. In the middle of the night, he finally arrived and just stared at the wall surrounding the compound. He wore the most uninterested and distant expression as he put all his power into his legs, springing over the wall. Like usual, he landed silently and gracefully onto that familiar grass. Oh how the smell of the compound and its very sight made him relax. A grin slowly came back to his face as he licked some of the blood from his maw. Those brilliant green eyes began to scan his surroundings before he decided to begin his patrol around the area. Most of the other guard dogs left him alone. They were terrified of the 1200 + pound jungle cat, and he loved it. Every time he would get near one, their tails would go between their legs and inch away slowly. This pleased him more than it probably should. But there was one guard that seemed to never leave him alone. She wasn't afraid of him, in fact she was quite smitten with him. Although Beowulf preferred being alone and left alone, she did not annoy him. He wasn't quite sure if it was the fact that she was capable of killing anything she really wanted, or the fact she was unusual like him, but he actually liked her company. Every since she came under his instruction, she would follow his orders without a regret. She also had a tendency to seek him out in her spare time. Or that's how it seemed to him. The heartless and mad liger, yawned, exposing his massive fangs before making his way down the yard. He chuckled deeply when he heard some of the guard dogs yelp at the size of his teeth "Shut up you mangy mutts and get back to work! Don't make me rip your intestines out and decorate the trees around here with them!" His insane grin never faded as those mindless mutts followed his order. Even though he wore than grin, he let out a sign of boredom. He continued to make his way across the yard, laying down and reclining against a rather large cherry blossom tree. His eyes swept over the ground, noting all the blossoms on the ground before turning his gaze upward at the sky. A shooting start shot across the the darkness and he only sneered at the sight of it. Just as he was losing himself in thoughts, his ears flicked in the direction of an approaching creature. He slowly averted his gaze from above to see Nyarai padding towards him. His tail seemed to twitch and move as if it had a mind of its own when he saw her. The mad kitty smirk turned into his cool and calm expression as she neared him. "Good evening, Nye...You are looking powerful and quite exquisite tonight...How were the guards in my absence...?" His slim and flexible tail flicked itself at her chin slightly, a playful gesture for him.

[/s] The slits that sat in her orange eyes, widened as he finished his sentence. She couldn't feel them doing so, and if she had the power she wouldn't have allowed them to show what she was truly feeling inside. But that was the past now. She looked at her boss with a mysterious and undefined expression. The African animal didn't even know how she was feeling. Perhaps a mixture of fear, happiness, and embarrassment in one. "Uhh..they were good" she finally spat out, not knowing how to remain calm around the beast. She also just remembered that she did not thank him for his pleasant words, "Oh and thank-you." Her gaze had been adverted as soon as she felt her fear creeping out again. Oh how she wished she could be as cool and low key as Beowulf was and tell him that she missed him even if it sounded sarcastic[/ul]

His eyes were half way closed, due to boredom and lack of sleep. The might cat let out a terrible yawn before turning his head to gaze at her, a smirk slowly formed again. "I guess those lousy guard dogs best be glad they were doing their job...I'm still in the mood to kill..."
Something washed over him, curing him of all his tiredness and boredom. The urge to kill filled him as he sat up a bit more, chuckling to himself. It didn't take him long to gain control over his urge as his focus completely went to Nyarai. "You are...most certainly welcome."
Beowulf's voice was deep and velvety. That dark tone you'd expect to hear from a seductive vampire or some phantom of an opera. As he spoke, his words came fluidly and smoothly. How could such a ferocious killer be so suave and debonair? After he spoke, his flexible tail slowly wrapped around one of her front legs slowly. It was a way of teasing her, and he enjoyed every second of it.
The beast was no fool, he knew how the other felt for him and honestly he enjoyed the attention. He knew how the female eagerly served him, and he knew as long as she was smitten with him, she'd continue to jump at his will. Of course the clever feline knew his boundaries and chose not to abuse this situation with his subordinate. However, it was still fun to tease her and get her even more worked up.
His tail slowly uncurled from her leg and continued to twitch and flick one way and then the next. That smooth smirk was still on his face as his deep eyes focused in on hers. "Nyarai...I was thinking while I traveled today..." A deep purr escaped his throat as he lowered his voice, down to a very personal tone. "I want you..." He took a deep breath after that statement, watching her eyes and expression, clearly amused. "To be my right hand, and help run the guards. You are level headed enough and strong enough to lead them while I am out hunting those escaped morons..."
He was truly enjoying himself as he spoke with his new second in command. Lazily he stretched out, still watching her as he continued to speak. "And...if you do well in your newly appointed position...I might just bring you out into the field with me, to wrangle up those roaming sacks of filth hell hounds...What do you say...?"

[/s] Those words and how he said it, was just beautiful. He didn't even have to say more, actually he could have left and she would still be drooling for him. But did he stop there? Uh, I dont think so. With the utmost of ease and swiftness, his tail somehow slowly curled around her front leg. Alright this was when her heart rate started to go up. What the hell was happening? Why was he teasing her like this? Was it that obvious that she fancied the big cat? Oh, this was not good! Nyarai kept frigidly still as he held onto her. Sure she didn't want Beowulf to know that she liked him, but it was obvious by her hesitation that she liked him. Damn, stupid, stupid. Stop acting like that around him! she reprimanded within her head. He slowly uncurled his tail from her front leg. "Nyarai...I was thinking while I traveled today..."He began, as the female Hyena felt free once again. Even though she liked him, him being around seemed more bittersweet for her than just sweet. Sure, she liked the guy, but she felt powerless. Something she despised. And then those three words poured from his mouth, like high class Champagne or Nuvo. And no, people, thee words weren't what you were thinking of. "I want you..." [/s] The black and white animal's heart sank. It felt as if her body was the ocean and her heart was the Titanic. Not only did it sink, but it tore in half. Wow, did it hurt...in a nice way. Nyarai gulped, as her ears slightly lowered. But her emotions changed like the wind as soon as he finished with what he was saying. Oh okay..It wasn't as interesting or exciting, but it was something good. Right? She hated the dogs, and even the hell hounds. So being in charged of them only meant one thing: She will have to be around those mongrels even more now. But of course to make Beowulf happy, she happily accepted his offer. "Yeah, it'll be fun." replied she, quieter dryly to her surprise. Okay, she didn't fake being happy that well, but she was only a living animal. She was allowed to make mistakes. What he said after his stretch, however, made her excited. They would travel, alone together? That sounded much better than what he said previously. The female grew more comfortable as he stretched and laid there and walked around him, stopping behind him where he could not see her. "Ohh, really?" questioned she, playfully. Without hesitation she extended her long, powerful neck and grabbed the loose skin behind Beowulf's neck. She tugged at it, gently and quickly let go. As soon as she let go, she was off. She ran quickly away from where he was, knowing that the big cat's instinct will kick in and chase her. If not then she would just look foolish. Well, we shall see.[/ul]

Her dry reaction to his offer was expected, and he didn't mind. A smooth dark chuckle left his maw at her reaction. Just as he was closing his eyes, he felt her nip his skin, nay she tugged on the back of his neck and ran. His tail twitched quickly as the giant cat swiftly got to his feet.
His eyes zeroed in on her escape and he felt his stoic expression break into a excited grin. Without effort he began to give chase, starting to laugh. It wasn't a demonic laugh, nor was it sadistic. He was having fun. That's right. The big boss kitty of the compound, the trained and expert killing machine was enjoying himself like he did in his days of youth.
As he ran, the sound of his swift movements were surprisingly silent. It didn't take long to gain on his partner, seeing how powerful his legs are. There she was, a few inches in front of him. She was within striking range. He swiftly reached out and pawed at her, lightly tapping at her back thighs, being sure not to extend his claws. He made sure not to hit her back legs heavily or even slightly scratch her.
Despite his instincts to just take down his prey and slaughter it, he began to run beside her, real close. He was still smiling as he whispered heavily to her. "I got you..." With that said, he reached out with his neck and lightly clamped onto the back of her neck, swiftly forcing himself forward, tumbling across the ground. Expertly, he pulled on her scruff ever so gently to him so when they rolled across the ground, he took most of the landing effect, bouncing across the ground more than she would. Could the killer be protective of her...?
Finally as they finally stopped rolling, he had her gently pinned to the ground, slightly tugging on her scruff as his tail did its magic trick again, wrapping around her back left leg. So he could speak, he let go of her neck and put one of those massive paws lightly on her back, keeping her pinned, purring loudly. "Did you think you could get away...? You cannot run from me..."
Still purring like an over sized kitten, he gently gave her muzzle several short licks as the weight of his paw on her caused her to slide closer to his bulky body. If anyone had been watching this past action, it'd be hard to determine if those licks were merely a cleaning attempt and if her being pulled closer to him was an accident. Oh, Beowulf. You sly devil...
[OOC: I hope I'm not over stepping my bounds with him teasing her like he is. I have plans for this. Teffi you are a genius and this was a great idea! lol]

OoC Oh hell no I dont care lol. And thannkss! I try. And omg cant wait to see your "plans". But dont tell me! Lol I love surprises ^^. The female lifted her eyes until they closed and were rolled back. She basked in this sweet moment, enjoying how everything felt. "Did you think you could get away...? You cannot run from me..."[/s] Her eyes shot open to meet his gentle gaze. She smirked and rolled her eyes to what he said, "That's 'cuz I let you" she chuckled feeling abit frisky. Her chuckle stopped short once she saw his face coming up to her's. Nyarai closed her eyes as he licked her muzzle. Damn. What was he doing? Why was he putting her through this? Was he just bored? Was she his little "play thing?". As much as that was a blow to anyone's ego, she took it..Actually she enjoyed it. She forced herself to keep from smiling. The smaller animal also felt him pull her closer to his body. OKAY, that was enough for that night. The Oreo colored Hyena quickly got to her feet and shook her body as if there was something on it. "Alright alright. I think I heard something in the distance" she informed, not looking at him but in the distance. This was a clear lie because she did not hear anything, but wanted to give an excuse to distance herself from her big cat.[/ul]

A dark chuckle left his maw once more as he sat up, rolling his neck. The over sized cat looked at her with a brow raised, gazing at her to the distance she was looking at. A smirk spread across his expression as he stared into the distance.
"Yeah...the wind." The wise cat knew to let it go as he look off across the compound, watching his guards patrol slowly. Oh how he detested them all...His hate filled eyes narrowed as he watched, scowling a bit. Slowly he snapped out of his anger and looked back to Nyarai.
He padded over and stood beside her, looking out into the yard of the compound, his tail still swishing a bit behind him. "I am sick and tired of coming back here empty handed...I have still not found those escapees...It makes me sick..."
[sorry for the bad post...]

she thought shrugging silently to herself. What if her doubts were to come true? Would that effect Beowulf in anyway? Would the scientists punish him? A flame started to spark within the female. She would not let anything happen to her Liger! Not while she still stood. "Beowulf," she started, looking up at him. "What if I help you find them?". Sure, he had appointed her Head of the Guards, and would only reward her with going with him..But he seemed desperate. Before she could even see an emotion from his broad head she looked down at her black and white feet, "Or not" chuckled Nyarai. Either way, she seemed like she cared for her friend's distress.[/ul]

He didn't answer at first, he stepped forward out of the building and back into the grounds. Sitting back on his haunches, he slowly began to gaze up at the moon, his sadistic expression slowly fading. The killer cat began to calculate and plot, having even more hate for those hell hounds.
It didn't take long for those brilliant and powerful green eyed gaze to lock back onto his favorite Hyena. Hell she was his only Hyena. Honestly, he'd like to keep it that way. That trademark smirk came back as he spoke to her. "I'd love for you to help me find them. That's why I appointed you to that position...You are like my right paw. I want you to follow me on my hunt for those sacks of shit. The Boss doesn't care so as long as the job gets done..." His eyes stared deep into hers as he spoke. "You are the only being I'd trust to help me hunt, capture and/or kill them...And for your information...we start first thing in the morning...Unless..."
Something new happened, the cold, heartless monster's expression showed a fleeting glimpse of sorrow. "Unless you don't want to come with me. I'd understand completely, but Nyarai...You should see the world outside that fence. It's simply amazing. And for me to say something is that wonderful and breathtaking has to be true, for you know how I pretty much hate everything..."
That's right. Beowulf hated everyone and everything but a few things. Fighting, Killing, Nature in all of its forms and glory, and Nyarai. Could the heartless and calculating Liger ever come out and say it...?

First thing in the morning? What?! Her orange orbs widened, making it look like the sun itself. She lowered them so they would look down at her bi-colored paws. What was she thinking? She couldn't go out into the unknown, away from the humans.. Couldn't she?
but Nyarai...You should see the world outside that fence. It's simply amazing.[/s]
Her round ears flattened against her thick skull as he continued speaking to her. Convincing her to come, though he did say that he would understand if she didn't accompany him. As he spoke of this "outside world", her heart began to beat faster and faster. Images seem to appear in her mind. Freedom, I wonder how it's like. It was true, she did not know how life was outside of the metal barrier labeled as a fence, her security. Her home.
She found herself nod slowly to what he had to say. Nyarai had to join him, not because of him but because of her own self. She needed something better than the life she had already been living. Life away from guns, electricity away from Hell Hounds.
"First thing in the morning," she finally spoke, feeling a wave of confidence and thrill come about her, "We out" she spoke with a confident wink. "So get up, lazy pants" chuckled she as she pawed his face

A warm chuckle left his throat as her paw brushed across his face. As a reaction, he pawed her face back and smiled a bit. Slowly, he stood up and rolled his neck. Honestly, he was ready to get going yet again.
"I'll probably stay up all night...but we will leave at dawn. We may not return to the compound for several days...I hope you don't mind..."
A smirk spread across his maw as he started by her, nipping at the side of her neck playfully as he walked back towards the building. His tail twitched from side to side as he looked back at her still smirking. "I'm hungry...I'm sure the chef here will set out a huge bloody platter of meat for me. If you are hungry I bet I could 'show off' and get you a meal too."
He winked at her as he padded off into the building.
