Leslie padded away from the bitter faces behind her. On the outside she looked calm and collected, but on the inside her emotions were mixed. Fear, for she was being left in the center of a city chalk full of stray dogs and odd beasts, Happiness for she was free of the other dogs sarcastic and painful comments, sadness, for she was leaving behind the place she had been born, and the place where her parents had once lived. But most of all hatred, hatred for her parents murderers, hatred for the humans who did nothing for them and a hatred for all the other creatures who stood and watched.
She padded on along the thick stone human pathways, crossed with many scents. By time the sun had started to set, her paws were bleeding from the rocky way, and her stomach snarled with hunger. Suddenly, a delicious scent crossed her nose! It carried that faint scent of meat, and it was coming from a tall round cylinder, that reminded her of a tree stump. Strange rotten scents permitted from its top, but Leslie was not deterred. Backing up, she took a running jump and hopped up onto its top. From here she could identify that it was hallow. Crouching down she pawed through the mess, and pulled out some form of floppy meat slice. It sat between some form of vegetable, and some large pale town flabs of some kind of grain. She smiled proudly, since she had found her first meal.
Gobbling down her mini meal, she hopped down from the bench. Behind her she could hear the rhme of ather creatures breathing...
