-Dear You
"Toto that dog's barking again. Go check the catch!" "Yes sir, right away!" Narrowed eyes raised to see a young boy around the age of nine rush over. Geko, a pharoh hound, dingo mix stood knee deep in salty water. His green and yellow body was exotic like the smell of the sea and his tropical roots allowed him to find comfort in the beach side fishing town. Geko hung around here often, being fed for his job as a fishing dog and gambling fish and bones with the village dogs. He jumped slightly when he felt the boy place a hand on his head. He'd zoned out again and forgotten what he was doing. Geko's eyes shifted back to the water. The young boy waded a few feet ahead of him and he followed. "Gramps, he was right! There are fish in the traps!" "Oh course he's right, he's a dog. Dogs don't speak so dog's don't lie." Geko chuckled to himself at how wrong the man was, Geko was a conartist and a gambler. He played with hearts, both the cards and the organs. The dingo mix fed off of pain, sorrow, and grief like they were the fish he ate.
After another hour of catching fish by mouth and chasing them into nets and traps the man called the day to a close. Geko trotted out of the water, but didn't bother to shake himself try. He enjoyed the smell of the sea clingly tightly to his neon green fur. The long-legged creature followed the humans to the village fish market where the man and boy stored away all the fish they caught. Tomorow they'd stock the shop and sell all of the fish they'd collected over the past three days. The old man kneeled down and streached out a hand. Geko barked in thanks and grabbed the fish before trotting off through the village. A few of the humans smiled and waved at him, occasionaly a group of kids would run over to pet him. He'd been working about in the village a couple months and was well known. Growing up living off of fish had made him a good fisher.
Geko turned the corner and was met by rumbling chuckles. "Hey there Gekki." "Y-yeah hey there!" "Shut up you oaf." "Y-yes sir..." A massive rottie stood before him with a quivering borozoi beside him, head low. "Well, well, well you're finally back Mikkie?" A few weeks ago Mikkie had jumped him to steal a fish and Geko had outwitted him. In the end he'd almost blinded the rottweiler with a lash of his lizard-like tail. Now the dog was back... with help. Three shadows stood behind him. Two akitas (obviously irritated by the heat of the beach village) and a black lab. "Not alone this time you whelp. You four... hurt him." "What's wrong? No killing today?" Geko chuckled as he felt the heavy weight of one of the akitas on his back. He was pushed to the ground with a massive paw between his shoulder blades, forced into a bowing position. "No Geko. I want you to suffer." Geko's fur bristled, though it wasn't noticable seeing as his fur was short cropped. Without being able to run away Geko knew he was in for a beating...
-Sincerely Geko

With a snarl, jaws snapped shut over the bird's neck, breaking it in the process. It had been an hour he'd been laying on the beach, watching the gulls hover down from the sky and fight over dead fish and human scraps that littered the sand. Each time he'd inch closer, one would sound an alarm, causing the flock to scatter either by air or further down the beach before returning. They were either starving or plain stupid, which given they were birds he favored the latter, as even though they both saw and sensed the danger they kept returning. Finally, patience won over again as he now walked away with the limp form of the gull hanging slack from his jaws.
As he bent over his catch, plucking the feathers out in chunks and digging into the meat, his eyes wandered about the village he had come to. It wasn't as populated as some cities he'd been through, but still there were plenty of people, and a number of dogs alike. While he was stalking the flock of gulls, he noticed a few even waded into the water and chased fish into the humans' nets, some came away with fish in jaws as well. There seemed to be a symbiotic relationship happening within the seaside town between its citizens and it's strays. The site intrigued him, if only slightly.
If he'd a taste for fish, he might have been inclined to snatch one from the ocean himself, or even join one of the dogs along the beach to see if he could cash in. Remus wasn't against working with humans, he'd done it for many years since birth, however, it has been more than a year since then and there would be no chance of him sticking around this town for long.
Th shepherd's loyalties still remained back at Sanguine Hollows, to the Macbre Militia and Hat. Despite this though, it had grown rather dull around the pack, no invaders nor fights between packmembers, all that was left at the moment was uneventful patrol and hunting. It seemed some of the others were also sneaking off, as he had noticed Fabius and Kana disappearing for near two days some time ago. If that was the case, didn't he deserve a day away from the monotony as well?
Finishing the bird, he left the carcass to lie on the beach, not much left but a pile of feathers and the skeleton with some scraps of meat still clinging to them for its former flock mates and the flies to share. Moving on from the shore, he headed off into the direction of the town, as he had seen a few of the fishing dogs run off into that direction after finishing their days work he assumed. Not in a hurry and no true desire to strike up conversation with the locals, he kept his pace at an easy trot down one of the roads.
Passing a side-street, he noticed a rather large crowd of dogs out of the corner of his eye. For a moment he paused to get a better view of what was going on. There were six dogs in the group, a large Rottweiler stood off to the side and watched as four other dogs close in on a oddly colored mutt on the ground. It appeared this dog was in a fix with the menacing group, forced down on his front legs by an Akita while the other three moved forth to do worse.
Remus briefly considered continuing on his way, less he get involved with the mishaps of the local strays which were frankly none of his business or consern. Then again, this had the potential to be the most excitement he'd had in months. Besides, the odds really weren't in favor of the poor sap on the ground, and he couldn't help but wonder what he'd done to piss off his attackers.
Turning, he loped towards the group and stopped a mere few feet off to the side of them. Holding his head high with confidence, his face was serious as usual, eyes narrowed and ears held sharply forward. The tone of voice he used reflected this, deep and rough, like that of a sargent, "What seems to be the problem gentlemen?"
Remus pretended to glance about tht group for a response, though it was a retorical question and came up with his own answer. "It looks to me like a male who's either too weak or too stupid to fight a single dog one on one and hires other to fight his battles," his gaze fixated on the Rottweiler as he said this before turning to look over the group again. "And a band of idiots who follow his word because they are too dim to realize they can kick his sorry arse if they wanted to."
Without bothering to wait for the infuriated reaction that was sure to come, he boldly stepped a bit closer and continued. "Now, it seems to me that five... well i suppose it's four against one," he smirked at the Rottweiler, "isn't much of a fair fight eh?" Slowly, he sidestepped, working his way closer to the green dog while he talked. "Two against four on the other hand, that's a different story." As soon as the last word rolled off his tongue, the shepherd lunged at the Akita looming over the green dog, using all of his force to knock him aside. This was where things were sure to get interesting.

-Dear You
Geko sniggered at the appearance of another dog. The rott and his gang merely scoffed at him. The green hound rolled his eyes and with a bright bark spoke lightly of the situation, "Uh oh, the popo's here! Better run before he brings in the drug dogs." The akita swiped a paw at the top part of his muzzle sharply. "Shut up you-" "-stupid spit!" The two akitas finished each others sentances and looked alike so it was becoming obvious they were a team of fangs for hire. The lab was the only one (besides the borozoi cowering behind Mickie) who was worried about the shepherd. Mikkie smirked down at Geko's scowl. A serious face on him was rare. The rottweiler nearly jumped out of his fur when Remus rammed the akita out of the way and he let out a yowl worthy of a cat when Geko's tail slapped across both eyes. "Score one for the lizard!" The gang boss roared in (literal) blind fury. "Kill that sonofa-" The borozoi was gone and the black lab had left the moment Remus made his move. The twin akitas however were very... very... pissed.
"Raush, Roark! Kill that dog, I'll deal will Geko..." The lizard-like dog grinned and backed up towards the street, away from the alley and the advancing rottie. Other fishing dogs were starting to crowd the other side of the street, intrested in the unusual turmoil. "You. Shepherd. You should know even if you help that guy he'll just backstab you. Gekki over there is a conartist and no more than scum." "That's not nice Mikki dearest, but true." Mikkie let out another roar and charged Geko, who with a sleek bound leaped right over the hulking dog. Mikki tripped over his own paws and by the time he turned around Geko had slashed his tail across the dog's eyes again. Meanwhile the two akitas circled Remus, opposite each other constantly. Every now and then they'd charge in, nip at him, and charge away to continue circling. "RRRRAAAUUURRR, KILL HIM ALREADY!" The two brothers scowled that their game was over and charged Remus, one in front and one behind.

The shepherd rolled his eyes at the Geko's stereotypical comment, perhaps if it was Hat in his place, as she was the ex-police dog, there would have been more truth to it. Once he rammed the akita with his battle-scarred shoulder, he took a fighting stance, bracing his paws and crouching low. It seemed that the moment he made the first shot the number of the group had gone down two, only making the fight easier in Remus' mind.
Keeping his eyes trained on the circling akitas, he heard the Mikkie's description to Geko's true character, but ignored it. It made no difference really, once he shoved the akita off the dog's back all he did was make room for the dog to run or fight, either way he was saving his own skin. Anything that happened to him after was his own problem. The two brutes that surrounded him now were merely tools to satisfy Remus' boredom, nothing did that better than street fighting.
Every so often the akita's dove in to nip at his flesh, and with each move the shepherd simply moved his body just enough out of range. These games were irritating as he barely had to try, having dodged bullets before that moved faster then their attacks. Finally, it appeared their leader grew tired of their stalling as he shouted, "RRRRAAAUUURRR, KILL HIM ALREADY!"
At this the twins rushed him, trying to trap him from both sides, but all the shepherd did was smirk. Charging forward, he barely acknowledged the dog attacking from the rear, focusing solely on the dog at his front. When he was merely a feet from the dogs opened jaws, he jeapt high and far over his head. As he came down, he brought his paws down on his hips, pushing off of them forcefully and landing lightly on the otherside. The pads of his paws had barely brushed the ground when he twisted around, fangs bared and dove his muzzle towards the akita's tendons.

-Dear You
The rear akita was not surprised by the action. The two had fought many dogs the exact same way and a few had done the same. They'd learned. The one Remus jumped over shot to the left just as his brother passed. When Remus turned around the seond akita was already in his face, jaws wide to slice the flesh on the shepherd's face.
Geko's grin was bigger than ever, his ears forced to lay flat by the muscles in his face. The emotion only seemed to fuel Mikkie who, with an all to eager growl, charged one more time. With a single side step Geko evaded and Mikkie's thick skull met the side of a house. The thud shook loose part of the old, weather worn wall and a human stood at the opening with her jaw hanging loose. She let out a wail and took up arms with her husbands fishing spear. The rottweiler took one look at the woman and hauled tail. Geko barked happily at her and she patted his head... her son the one he fished with that day. As she turned to explain to her worried husband Geko turned about to see the akita about to rip Remus's face off. Whatever the outcome he didn't care so he simply sat and watched. "This is intresting..." The second akita was watching a few feet to the side of Remus with a similar expression of curiosity over who'd bite who's face off.

((ugh, short, fail T_T))
The sound of the Rottweiler's skull meeting the side of the building was almost as amusing as hearing him make a hasty retreat at the sight of the woman's weapon. Now there was just dumb and dumber to deal with. It was now two on one, as Geko abandoned the fight once the attention was no longer on him. Remus didn't care though as it left more fun for him, his only thoughts being What kind of male leaves a fight unfinished? I'd like to see him try to make it outside this cozy town of his.
The akita he had aimed for had gotten out of the way in time to avoid Remus' jaws clamping down on his tendons, but a new target was literally right in his face. There were only about three seconds to figure out he where he was going to hit before the dog started tearing away at his face. It was after about 1.75 seconds that he knew his next move. The akita was right there, jaws agape and eager when Remus suddenly turned and counted the seconds.
Though the sharp points of the dog's fangs grazed his cheek, allowing his blood to breach the surface, '3' his body whipped around like an out of control semi, intending to ram his hips into the akita's head. '2'In that same motion, he had turned towards the other dog and left the ground, leaping at him with jaws wide and legs stretched out in front of him. '1' The smell of the blood from his laceration only excited him more.
