It was a dark and cold night. There was no sound except the howls of pain and agony at Shikoku's famous fighting rink. No dog in the kennel made a sound as the horrible sounds came from the arena. There was a dog that was crowned the winner in this battle. There was one who was slowly being beaten to death be the opponent. A last howl was heard, then a long silence. One of the kennel's managers came through the door, holding a dead, horribly beaten Bulldog at his arms. One of the dogs yelled out in a depressed cry, "My son! No! It...IT CAN'T BE! MY SON!" The dog banged on the cage, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM!!.... YOU SICK DEMONS! GET YOUR FILTHY PAWS AWAY FROM MY SON!" Another dog cried, " SPIKE! NO! It's SPIKE! YOU DEMONIC HUMAN!HE WAS ONLY A PUP! SPIKE!" Soon all of the dogs were crying and howling in a tone that sounded somewhat like a funeral mourning. This was the life of a Arena dog, left to rot in the confines of their cages. Left to die or kill each other in that pit of despair. Byte a grey Fila Brasileiro had enough. She couldn't stand it any longer. If she tried to avoid the hate boiling up inside of her she would blow. A beautiful white Fila Brasileiro with black tiger markings next to her cage said " Wait if you let all that hate out now you will not survive the next fight..." "I KNOW! I mean... ... your right Luna..." Said Byte in response...

.... An hour later, the same human with a flashlight came to Byte's cage.The light cast by the human's flashlight made Byte's golden tiger markings glow in the dark. " Byte the Demonic Fury, don't fail me now or you'll be as dead as the rat I found under the sofa!" Byte growled softly at the threat.
The human opened the cage to bring Byte to the blood stained Arena. "You'll regret that... ,Said Byte with a evil glint in her unscarred left eye. ,... YOU MONSTER!" Byte leapt out of her cage, fangs bared. There was a loud cry... Blood splashed everywhere...
... "SHE KILLED HIM!!!!!" barked a mutt in joy. " Quick! Open our cages!" yelled Luna.
Byte ripped the locks off Luna's cage with tremendous force. Luna Yipped happily "Come on open the cages to the others!" Byte broke all the other chains, even if she strongly disagreed in helping the others. All 28 dogs came pouring out of their cages and running out of the back door, which was left open. a bunch of humans came into the room only to find Byte and Luna standing in their way. " YOU TWO! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!" said their leader.
" You should have known..." said Luna crouching low like an albino tiger "...Not to mess with the demon dogs of Shikoku Island!" screamed Byte as she jumped in unison with her half sister.
Soon the cries of 4 humans filled the room. And then there was silence. The owner of the place came into the room 5 minutes later only to find 5 dead men, blood gushed all over the floor, and blood-stained paw prints leading out the back door...

Luna and Byte raced their way up to a place far enough not to be seen, but high enough to still see the arena.
"What will we do now?" Asked Byte. Luna responded " We will avenge all of the lost souls-and ourselves of all who dared hurt us or kill our friends... ...Who killed Spike?"
"I know just who that dog is... ... and who he belongs to. He will suffer for his injustice towards Spike... ... A arena dog is supposed not to kill his opponent but to bring the rival to unconsciousness. It is the rule. At least for normal arenas- ours was way out of line! right Luna!?" Responded Byte.
"Too true... ... lets get him tonight- he is still weak from battle,and his master probably rewarded him so he is too full with good food to fight... ... so I guess thats the plan..." Said Luna with a distant gaze...
That same night, The dog who killed Spike did not move again from his sleep....

That night a young wolf who was a pet an old woman heard the noise from the villa that was on top of a hill near the arena.The wolf was Oni and after hearing the sound of dogs killing each other,she left her home to find out what was going on.
At a near by airport a young stud dog named Stallion was being brought out of the airplane.So men looked at him and before he knew what happened he was taken out of his cage and put over the fence.He looked at the airport and tried to find his master but he couldn't.He ran along the fence line until he got to front and still couldn't find his master.He ran along the road into the near by town.

Byte sniffed the air. "Have you sensed anything yet?" asked Byte impatiently "I sense fear... ...I wonder who is in this despair." answered Luna
"And I wonder what's for dinner, I'm hungry!" Whined Byte. suddenly they saw a shape in the shadows. Byte growled aggressively. Luna wagged her tail but held a threatening pose.
"You better stay away! We will tear you apart if you come closer!" Roared Byte
Luna said "If I was you I would stay of our path..." Then she whispered to Byte "Be nicer, you don't know the animal, it might be a friend."
Byte rolled her eyes but made her pose less threatening. "Come out where we can see you, in the light." said Byte

Oni now stood before the two dogs.She slowly approached as they demand.She stared at the dogs,not knowing what to do.Her lush black fur shined in the light.Her gold red eyes shined in the light as well and they showed no fear.Her thick brown collar was as big as her neck and it made for a good protective armor for her neck if she was in a fight."Who are you two?"the wolf asked in a harsh angry tone.
Mean while the small town that Stallion had arrived at happened to be the town that the dogs Byte and Luna had escaped from.Stallion sniffed the air and caught the scent of two dogs covered in blood but this blood was not of any animal in the wild but of human.He followed his nose and ran in the direction that they had went.
In the deep woods of the Iya Valley near Mount Tsurugi a young male wolf by the name of Zeal was wondering the land.He wasn't sure why he was even on the island of Shikoku but something had brought him here..

Luna and Byte stared at the wolf. Luna said in a calm but warning tone " If I was you I would be nice to us, You won't stand a chance against two Filas- and Byte doesn't take kindly to strangers. but to answer your question I am Luna and she is..."
"Byte, now leave or I'll rip your guts out!" growled Byte. Luna lifted her huge paw and... SMACK! "Hey! that hurt! why did you smack me!?" Whined Byte. " Because, two wrongs don't make a right. Besides the wolf has the right to know." said Luna "We are the avengers, the Demons of Shikoku Island, we avenge the deaths of friends we knew that died innocently, without a reason.We are after a wolf hybrid named BloodFang..." Luna said.
"Yes, that... ...bas- I mean, wolf hybrid killed all of the healthiest puppies in the puppy mill, including my new-born brother. mumbled Byte.
"Now Its our turn to ask, who are you?" said Luna,

"My name is Oni.I can help you if you want.I think theres suppose to be a pack of dogs or something in the mountains that would like to help I'm not sure but near Mount Tsurugi I think.I don't get out much but I hear things.Oni told to the two dogs.
Stallion soon saw the the three and slowly walked up to them not knowing what to do.
Zeal continued to walk around not knowing what was dragging him to do so.

"A gang of dogs... interesting... ...I only heard stories of that mountain- I never been there, being imprisoned all my life..." Said Byte sadly.
"Hmph, I guess it will be hard getting there without a guide..." Said Luna
"No! Don't EVEN think about it! We can manage on our own and-" Whispered Byte angrily.
" Why don't you show us how to get there?" Said Luna happily. "Not,again... the last time we let someone in our group..." mumbled Byte in disappointment.
"Oh but first- you must take a few tests, if you decide to join us." Said Luna.
"But since You are a P-E-T", Byte said sarcastically looking at Oni's collar, "you might be TOO comfortable in your little human house to come. Come on Luna we don't have time to deal with "Human-Servants"..."
"This Wolf has a warrior soul, I sense it, I see it in her eyes. I can smell it. I runs in her very veins... ...it is very strong..."Said Luna
"Yeah, yeah... Your going to join us or not? " said Byte with a noticeable sense of enthusiasm...

Oni stared at Byte and Luna.They were both right about her.She did have a strong warrior spirit in her and she was comfortable in her home as a pet.But she wanted to leave her home and travel around the land.She had an uneasy feeling looking at the two dogs.But her wolf blood wouldn't let her show it."Sure I'll join you."Oni said.
Stallion had now gotten close enough,he came and now stood beside Luna."Hi"Stallion said happily.
Zeal had now stopped and looked at the moon.He howled as though he had defeated a great enemy.He had no idea why he had began to howl.

Oni looked at the new dog."No I don't know him.He smells like a human.He must be a pet as well.Who are you?"Oni asked growling low in her throat.
Stallion looked at the she-wolf and sighed."My name is Stallion and your right I'm a pet but some men just dropped me off and I can't find my master.I'm stud dog,I smelled the scent of blood and came here.I don't know where I'm at right now.Me and my master just moved here so I'm lost."Stallion said as he lowered his head.

Stallion smiled at this."If you don't mind."Stallion said.He began to wag his tail,Oni grinned shortly but then went back to a frown.
Zeal continued to howl for a moment more.He then stopped and looked at the stars.He was lonely and uneasy now.He had given his position away to his enemies if he had any on this island.

" Ok! lets start looking! Why don't we start near town?" Luna said totally forgetting her tough talk for a minute. It felt good being a wild dog again.
"Are there other wolves on this Island? I heard howling and ignored it, but now its becoming a bother..." said Byte.
( Sorry if I take so long in responding- Lots of stuff to do!;D )
