It was busy on the outskirts of the city, in a small rural area just shy of the farmlands. It was far too busy for his liking. Even the humans and their animals, dogs and livestock both, were just an annoyance to him. He wished he could have stayed with the girl who'd saved him. Life had not been so bad here, at first. But then the boy had to go to that 'school' place and the woman that was his mother didn't care about a mutt dog who slept in their yard. It was all he had now, this yard. Maybe he was not meant to be a pet after all, no matter how nicely that collie had put it. He needed to get out. He needed to be free! That was it, he'd made up his mind. Turning his head, he chewed at the rope tying him to the back porch. Freed from that confinement he fled from his prison. The woman would not look for him till dinner, so he had no need to hurry. But running was in his blood, and so that's exactly what he did. He soared over the backyards and fields, the grasses barely touching his paws before he, at last, came to the edge of civilization. As the wind rushed past his ears, he chuckled. At last, he was free.

Hatshepsut ventured far from her territory yet again, as she wanted to see different fighting styles so she could perhaps mimic them in the future. As you see, her pack lands of Sanguine Hollow was known for heavy hitting intruders and she wanted to better herself so the enemies would back off sooner. This year had been crazy for the pure bred, so she needed to get back on track especially now that she gained her weight back.
The dog walked through Tokyo, witnessing canines from all shapes and all colors. Fortunately or unfortunately for her, none wanted to pick a fight with the Alpha of Macabre Militia. Walking was all the German Shepherd was doing, and this was getting boring. Hat let out a lazily yawn right before noticing a flash of electric green and black. This caused Hat go indistinctly pull her head back as if she was in danger. Damn, imagine one of those in my pack thought the Egyptian Queen thinking of ways to "catch" it.
She decided to break into a quick lope, knowing that she would never be able to catch the dog and she didn't want to appear threatening, "You!" barked the tan and brown female. Hopefully the fast dog would stop

The suburban atmosphere blended into big city living, as his paws brought him further and further away from home. But he wasn't going to look back, he'd never look back. He passed several people, but ignored them. All they would see was a blur of black and green as he passed them by. Other than a curse and a yell here and there of him being a 'stupid' dog none paid him much attention.
Imagine his surprise when a glance over his shoulder revealed a shepherd chasing him down. He was not so certain of what intentions may be, but the other dog didn't seem to have a collar. The shortened remains of a rope flapping against his neck, he hopped to the left to avoid a pot hole in the road.
Realizing his purser's voice as female, he gave a quick check around to make sure no one else was following, before he gradually began to slow down. They'd finally wind up in the middle of nowhere when he was able to stop. Panting from his run, he paused to catch his breath before casting an eye to the female. "What're you ... following me for?"

Its been awhile that Hatshepsut had used her full speed in a pursuit like this, so when the mutt finally slowed down, you can see her happiness as she stopped to gain her breath. The male was only a tab bit taller then her, but what she smelt on him made her want to stop in thought and reanalyze the situation. As you see, he had the scent of humans! A key factor as she linked the powerful smell with the small rope around his neck. Was he a..pet?
Hatshepsut looked him over as he asked her his question. Seems a bit..off she thought as she raised her body in a proud way. The noble female looked at the green and black mutt that stood before her. She gave him a quick smile right before speaking, "You a pet?" She needed a little bit of background on this dog not only to know where he came from but to make small conversation.

He was quite unaccustomed to this. On his first day away from that yard in so long, and this happened. Why some stray dog would want his attention was beyond him. But he was older and wiser now, much calmer than when he was a pup.
Now that he'd gotten a much needed run out of him, he leaned forward. Pawing the rope of his neck, the lurcher shook himself fully once the blasted thing hit the ground. "Off and on." That was it, some female just wanted a conversation? Some dogs were so strange ...

The German Shepherd stared at the male that shook off his rope. He was portraying the lack of interest in her as he stood there and answered her in a way that was so..nonchalont. This would have made her angry as it was a bruise to her own ego, but she admired the dog's speed. And what if she could get him to join? Actually kind to think of it, I regret doing this she thought, shaking her head. It may have seen as though she was shaking her head at the stranger. So be it. It was time to take another route.
"Ah, well sorry to bother you," she shrugged, her voice all humble and sweet.

"Err ... Quite." Well, he didn't really understand that. Had he really been a pet for so long that he'd forgotten what the wild life was like? Or maybe he just had a knack for ten second meetings with strange individuals. At any rate, the female decided it was time to leave. "Farewell then." He bade the shepherd a courteous farewell. And then he was off to running again, heading to where? He did not know.
