[/center] ”I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it!” The timid voice whimpered in the dark. Not even the warmth of his mother's side could curb his fear. ”Shh, dear. Just a little while longer.” His mother turned to the small pup at her side. Pavlov stumbled in the gloom, nearly falling face first into the dirt. But his mother swiftly swept him into her jaws. Holding him gently, she carried him the rest of the way. After some time a light could finally be seen up ahead. It was only a pinpoint, but it was there. ”Look look! Do you see it?” The pup wiggled free of his mother's grasp. Chuckling as the youngest skipped ahead, Purgatory called out to him. ”Slow down, Pav.” But her amusement was quickly stamped down, as the light abruptly blackened into darkness. ”Pavlov!” His mother cried, rushing to find him again. ”Well what do we have here? A little snack!” A deep voice echoed into the tunnel. Purgatory growled, slipping past her pup and standing protectively over him. It was a tight fit, but they were both small enough to fit in the drain pipe. The voice laughed. ”Two snacks then!”The mixed breed snapped at a swiping paw. Crimsons splatters across the muddy floor, the beast giving a snarl as he yanked his paw from the pipe. ”You little- you'll pay for that!” There was suddenly a great clawing and scrambling about, as the dog started crawling into the tunnel.

It was rather unusual for Kumiko; a yellowish white akita mix to be walking around the city. The she-dog had never liked the city, to many humans for her taste, but it was Rouka; a male doberman pinscher that had brought her here for a little fun. It was the best to pratice your fighting skills against other strays and with him with her, the two could help anyone if they needed it. The sound of an angry snarl caught Kumiko's attention. Rouka was use to ignoring cries for help unless the animal really needed help, in this case he followed Kumiko as she raced towards the snarling.

The stray had crawled his way into the pipe, his head up to the neck as he snapped at the two much smaller canines. "M-mom..." The pup trembled beneath his mother's belly. They were going to be eaten!
"Get behind me Pav!" Cried his mother, as she snapped at the stray's nose. When she felt her pup scoot behind her, she lunged forward. Clamping down hard on the mutt's nose with her jaws. He slammed his head against the top of the pipe. The femme's back hit the concrete above, almost knocking the wind out of her. But she refused to let go.
Snarling and scrambling for freedom, the stray crawled back out of he pipe. Taking the pink and gray female with him. she clung tight to his muzzle, barely evading his snapping jaws as he flung his head around. "Get off get off, get off!" But she refused, holding on until at last with his larger size and strength, he dislodged the female from his muzzle. She hit the ground hard, scrambling shakily to her paws as she tried to block the stray from the pipe.
