The setting for Ginga Denkiteki Omaesan, just like in the original Ginga series, is the island of Japan. And, very similar to the Ginga series, it pretty much overs the main island of Honshu and a little bit of the nearest islands.
The Regions of Japan
The Chubu Region, the central portion of Honshu, holds the majority of the action, including the city Tokyo, the city called Kai and the Southern Alps.
Ohu is located in northern Japan in the Tohoku region. As reference, Ohu and the Southern Alps are a few days run apart. In Ginga Densetsu Weed, it was briefly mentioned that Weed and his pack managed to go from one to the other in about two days, but I imagine that, realistically, it's more like a three day run.
Shikoku is also a major hot spot on the forum, though the focus is on an unnamed town on the coast nearest to Honshu. A town that appears in Ginga Nagareboshi Gin that focuses much of its time and money on dog fighting.
All areas in between and en route to these areas are available to role play. You may notice that the boards are very open and generalized, meaning that exact locations are chosen by the player. So, for example, in the Tokyo board, a player may choose to role-play the happenings of a stray dog deep inside the big city or the activities of a wild dog in the neighboring woods and suburbs.
Since I know this is an unorthodox way to do things, if you find this method of forum organization an annoyance, please, tell me about it in the Feedback board, which can be located in the OOC board labeled 'Help'
