((OoC:: Hooray for shenkka!! Like the new name Mercy! ;3)) Ire screamed. Amaya's voice continued its song. Love is more than an emotion, its an actual force. Mud and Ire both shook and trembled with unimaginable force and pain. [shadow=black,left,300]"WHY!?"[/shadow] The dark brown hound mix ran forward. His paws carried him past Amaya and all the other dogs as fast as they could take him. He bolted out of the front of the cave and ran down the slope. He tripped, rolling and even a few summersaults untill his body landed in a puddle of mud. The filthy mixture splashed onto his coat. He was stuck. The dog let loose a sound, it was almost a howl but it was also a cry. It could only be described as pain, sorrow and anger had mingled in a single tearing emotional sound. Mud and Ire sat, as one, in the thick mud. It was caked all over his fur. There was no more rain. Only wind and noise. Blood, tears, saliva and mud was slathered all over the poor dog's face. Suddenly, he ran again. This time, into a tree, knocking himself out cold... The storm let up. The clouds slowly began to part. Soon there would be a sunrise, just as it always has, to begin another day.

Amaya watched him bolt past her and the others. As she saw him run down the slope and trip. Then when she saw him hit the tree, she gasped. He was out cold.
"Mud! Mud!", Amaya yelled from the bottom of her lungs. She ran down the slope as well, but more careful. She ran through the mud puddle. Her paws and her legs with mud on them. "Mud! Are you alright!?!?", she said as she approached him. She didn't care if Ire attacked her, she wanted to know if he was alright. She looked to see the sun rise above the clouds. She then looked at Mud. Amaya fell to the ground next to him. Nuzzling and nudging him to wake up.
"Mud...Mud...please...wake up. Mud..please wake up, I'm begging you...please." After saying that, she laid her head upon his head. This time, she both hoped that Ire was gone for good. And that Mud would be alright. ''Mud, wake up....for me, please." She said that once more as she continued to nudge and nuzzle him.

Echo heard Ire's scream and saw him run out into the storm and disappear, Amaya ran after him, calling Mud's name. With a shallow glance at Firedrake, followed them. The rain stopped, the sun was breaking through the clouds, giving way to a new morning. She found the two dogs without much effort, Mud/Ire was sprawled into the ground covered in filth. Amaya was laying with her head resting on his next to him, nuzzling him and speaking softly to him. Echo limped to a spot under the tree and sat quietly, staring into the rising sun. She wasn't sure if and when he was going to come to, but she felt it was her duty to make sure the right dog was in control when it happened. Until then, she couldn't leave, not yet.

Still gasping, Firedrake watched as Amaya and Echo left the cave. He lay there for a few more minutes, feeling himself regain strength, and stood up. His reddish legs were a bit wobbly at first, but as he staggered, he got the hang of it. I wonder if Mud will ever be rid of Ire, Firedrake thought, his eyes curious once more.
Firedrake walked outside to find the weather dry. Then, he heard a howl. It was not like the one he had heard before this ordeal. This event he would remember for the rest of his life. But the howl was wrenching; horrible and painful. It stopped Firedrake cold.
The wind blew through his fur as he cautiously walked towards Mud. Or Ire. Then, the wind softly stopped. Firedrake began to pick up speed as he noticed that Mud was unmoving. He watched Amaya nuzzle his motionless body. Maybe, He thought. Maybe, he can be a decent male one day.
Firedrake stopped next to Mud. He noticed that the dog was coated with earth. "Will he be okay..?" Firedrake said aloud.
((Holy crap, that was a big post o-O))

((OoC:: Good job, Shenkka! Thats what I like to see!! ;3))
Mud felt nothing. His body was cold and it was difficult to move. Those blue and orange eyes blinked but he still was seeing nothing. Slowly, his vision came back. From black, to a dark grey, dimming to a light overcast. This first thing his mind registered as an image was mud, lots of it all over the ground, it was splattered every where. The brown hounds face turned up to a tree, it had a large splotch of mud splashed on it. Mud's hearing soon came back.
A gentle, familiar whispering voice. Then feeling was next to return; nudging, liking and nuzzling. Mud looked to see Amaya speaking to him. Why? Why would she... after what I did?... Both of his eyes watered, After all I had done... Tears rolled down both sides of his face, physical manifestations of sorrow. They streamed down his muzzle, cutting through the slick slimy mud that was now partially dry and caked on.
''Mud, wake up....for me, please."
"I'm sorry...I am....so so.... so sorry," he sobbed, shaking. There was no excuse for what I've done... Mud turned from her. Not wanting her to see him, he felt guilty pitiful and undeserving of such benevolence.
"Will he be okay..?" Said an unidentified voice.
For which there was no answer. Mud was not aware of anyone else's presence. He felt terrible enough with so many witnesses.
Mud was over whelmed by an urge to run away from it all.
He struggled to stand, the thick mud made it difficult to move himself. It was all over his body. Normally, one would be uncomfortable. The muck cracked and moved as he rose to his feet. The dark brown dog saw all of the ruined flowers. It cause him an untold misery.
The sun poking through the grey clouds illuminated the scene. All those budding and blossoming colorful creations, mutilated into piles of foliage in puddles of water and sickly mud, lost.
He only made a few paces before he collapsed, crying and shuddering with absolute grief and shame for all he had done. A tall and sublime dog reduced to a pile of melancholy, at the mercy of everyone...

Amaya would blink. She then began to approach Mud as he collasped. She could see him shuddering. It wasn't his fault, it was that damn Ire's fault. She thought in her head. She looked at the others, "I think he will be fine..but..I think he might leave too." And after saying that, she breathed in the air. Looked up to the sky, then to Mud. And took another breath before saying, "Mud! Please, you can't leave. It wasn't your fault, it was that Ire's fault. Please, you tried to stop it, but Ire wouldn't let you. But please, don't leave..." She paused, not wanting to say anything else. She didn't want Mud to leave. Because she..liked him, or maybe she loved him. Then an unexpected tear fell from her eye and onto the ground. As a gentle breeze sweeped through the land. She approached him more until she was one foot from him. As another tear fell she said one more thing, more gently and softly, "Please Mud...don't leave..me." She didn't want him to leave, she just hoped that he would stay.

Echo sighed and rolled her eyes in frustration. This was why she didn't have any friends, except for Aspen. She could have their back in any fight, but when it came to emotional things, well, that's what she had Aspen for. 'Let's see, what would Aspen say? What would Aspen say?' Her mind was racing for the answer, but lost and instead tried to come up with something that at least sounded helpful. Echo limped over to the sobbing, brown, mud covered dog and closed her eyes. "There's nothing to be sorry for. Amaya's right about Ire being the one who did those things. I think I speak for all of us," she paused to look around at the others, "when I say that we don't blame you for what happened. It's Ire's guts we hate." Echo was pleased that her statement sounded sincere and not forced, though that last part was clearly her own words. "Now c'mon, kid, suck it up, at least pull yourself together for Amaya's sake." Okay, maybe that last part sounded more like her cynical self. 'I hate seeing grown males cry.'

Firedrake watched as Mud fell into a grievous state. He was sobbing, and his heart seemed broken. Firedrake walked down closer to Mud. "Hey, it's cool. It wasn't you, it was that damn Ire." He said cheerfully, hoping to brighten Mud's spirits. Firedrake sat down. He agreed with Amaya and Echo, except for the part about crying.
"Don't take blame for something Ire did. You tried to stop him, and that's all that matters." He said calmly, still trying to cheer Mud up. He looked at Mud. He's a great dog. But Ire is not. Firedrake thought.

Such kind words. All such sweet utters were for the brown dog. They are all trying to cheer you up. How... nice. Wonder why they haven't ran away? Are they insane... Just like us, eh?
Mud secluded back into his shell. One blue and one orange eye dimmed and glazed over as his mind shifted inward. An introverted conversation. Tears continued to roll down the side of his face, lungs gasping for air.
Yes, I am still here. I will always be here. You and I. We are a part of each other. Forever. Ire spoke without dryness You will never be rid of me. Tell them. Go on, tell all of those... supportive friends you have that it was us that were harming them all.... They all hate me, They hate Ire... They all hate Mud....
Mud looked up to the sky, the dried blood on the side of his face caused his orange eye to close. He kept it shut. He took in a lung full of air. Is this a mistake? Another deep inhale. They need to know the truth... One more...I feel so....tired....
"I am Ire." he said finally. A wet clear light blue eye gazed at Amaya'a sweet amber orbs. A tear...? Why? "We are a part of eachother... I ...This is all my fault..." He couldn't bear to look at her anymore. Instead he stared at the filthy mud on the floor as it soaked into his paws again.
(The slimy mud represents Ire's presence/hold on Mud, lol irony!)
"I.....I....I n-never want to leave you Amaya... I do care about you. Please believe me... Thats why..I have to leave... to make sure that I never hurt you or anyone else again." He shut both of his eyes to tenderly lick the tears off her muzzle.
"I am meant to be alone. Forever." Mud's voice cracked and was low. "That... is how you all found me. I was howling... from all the loneliness I have endured... " He looked at the black and white collie and red and orange male separately. "I'm...." He was about to say sorry. But it didn't seem appropriate. A part of him was not sorry, not all all. It wasn't right to lie. All the wounds they have suffered... all by my fangs...
Our fangs, Ire reminded.
The brown hound layed his head to rest... "So... tired..."

Echo, stepped forward, white paws stained brown as they waded through the thick, earthy mixture. She leaned down and nudged Mud with her muzzle and spoke in a calm, forceful tone. "Hey, kid, before you sleep you need to know two things. One, you are NOT Ire. You may share a body, but you don't share a soul, or a heart. You are just as strong as he is, you proved that today Mud, and someday you may be able to get rid of him. Don't live your life constantly apologizing for Ire's actions."
She turned to leave, heading in the direction of the rising sun. Without even turning her head to look at him she said nonchalantly, "And another thing. If Ire does come back, and he wants a rematch, I'll be waiting, and I'll be ready."
The flowers lay flattened by the hail and the river had swelled overnight. When she looked again, there in the middle, one small flower stood tall. It glistened with rain water and stretched out to the sun to catch it's rays.
Once again, she found herself at the waters edge and this time she didn't look at her reflection. She just sat, drying her black and white pelt and watched the sun rise, bathing the valley in a glow of orange light. As she watched, the large, orange star reminded her of Ire, staring at her coldly.

Amaya felt his lick. She then watched him. "Mud...I k..know you don't want to hurt me. And that's a good thing. But you can overcome this, just find Ire's weakness or something. That collie is right. And if you leave...then..it's for a good reason, but I will miss you. And if Ire ever comes back, I'll be with you and that collie every step of the way." She then walked toward him and licked his ear and muzzle. She looked at the light colored dog, then she smiled at Mud gently. She then walked away toward a tree not far from the river and Mud and the others. She then laid down and fell into a light sleep. How would she live without Mud. She would have to find a way to help.

"It's cool, 'kay? It's alright. You did everything you could; so don't be so hard on yourself." Firedrake said in a calm tone again. He licked his red colored paws. Firedrake never imagined that this would have happened. So much had happened in that cave. Too much, I suppose. he said, returning to his normal train of thought.
He felt very tired suddenly. A new day is dawning. The sun is rising, and I haven't even slept yet. Firedrake thought. Then he noticed that Mud had said something. "Don't leave us just because of that hellish Ire. You have control now, not him. It'll be okay." Firedrake replied.

Ah, but for how long? How long can you 'control me' until you slip. Just like you did last night. Hm? How can you forgive yourself? Ire spoke darkly. Mud's orange eye was against the cool soft ground. His blue one was shut from the bright sunshine.
"...and I'll be ready."
Heh, Next time, I won't be fxxking around. I'll really be putting the hurt on you, sweet thing. Ya know, I kinda like her... Mud heard her paws walk off and stop nearby. He didn't bother looking up. He was afraid to.
Both Ire and Mud listened intently to Amaya's words. Weakness? The only bane I have is being held back by this soft wet bag known as Muddy.
"I'll be with you and that collie every step of the way." She then walked toward him and licked his ear and muzzle.
Mud enjoyed this show of affection, but did not know how to show his thanks. Does that mean that they..... will stay with me? Amaya too walked off. It feels good to know that now there is distance between us. Distance means safety... But why doesn't it feel right? I'm... not happy.... But it was my selfishness in wanting company that hurt so many others...
"Don't leave us just because of that hellish Ire. You have control now, not him. It'll be okay." The fiery one spoke. 'Hellish' eh? I sure like the ring of that.
Mud forced himself to stand. He felt it was appropriate. He wanted to show them that everything was alright. Despite the fact that he himself did not feel too optimistic. You all keep telling me that I have control. One paw at a time, he carefully shifted his burdensome body weight. I don't even believe that. Ire is... my sin... he is like... my punishment for the... crimes I have done. Summoning as much strength as he could muster, he tensed his muscles. However... I will live on... Somehow... There is always another day. The Sun always rises everyday. I never understood why. It always does, no matter what happens to us. Nothing can ever stop it. Mud's legs became pillars as he rose up into a standing position.
A small rain began to pour. It was gentle and cleansing. Slow and soft, like feathers falling from the sky. The precious drops began to wash the mud from his fur. Mud's eyes closed as he settled to sleep, still standing...

((OOC - uh oh, don't tell me Ire has a crush on Echo, creepie. haha, just kidding.)) Echo was watching the sun rise when a gentle shower of rain began. 'Great, more rain,' she thought sarcastically. Her muscles ached though, and the rain felt soothing as the cool water sprinkled over her body. She lowered herself onto the soft, moist grass and rested her head on her paws. Echo felt her eyelids droop as she caught the last few glimpses of the rising sun. Finally, she succummed to the blackness and settled into yet another restless sleep, tormented by her nightmares. ((wow, this was really short. ))

Amaya lifted her eyes. Little pitter pattars of rain fell onto her nose. She got a tiny glance of Mud before she slept again. The rain washde away the mud gently. She smiled some, the glance was abit blurry, but she knew it was him. She said under her breath, "I...I...I..love you..Mud." She just hoped no one had heard that. She wagged her tail abit. She remembered she was under a tear, and if lightening were to hit, things might not go so well. So she moved away from it, and curled up and slept. Knowing that it was only drizzling.
