((This is gonna be short because I wrote it at 3:00 AM when I couldn't sleep and was bored xD)) Firedrake noted with approval that Mud stood up, but he found it a little silly that he had fallen asleep like that. But Firedrake closed his eyes, paying no attention to anything much further than that. Quickly, he fell asleep, not wanting to wake up too soon.

The sun was tip toe-ing higher and higher into the sky. Soon, it would be in the middle of the sky. The clouds were still there. However, they were thinner, allowing an overcast and a dim lighting that was easy on Mud's light colored eyes. The lighter eyes are, the more painful it is in bright areas.
He dreamed he was with Akiko. The small young girl was laughing her tinker bell laugh, talking to him in that sweet baby talk that Mud enjoyed so much. Then Amaya was there. She dressed both of them up; Mud as a groom with a tuxedo and a top hat, while Amaya had on a little white dress with a veil. Akiko began to play, pretending to read from an upside down book. Then, Mud licked Amaya's muzzle and Akiko giggled and hugged them both. Mud's tall neck rested on her petite shoulder while sitting on his haunched. Akiko screamed, it was a horrifying and loud against his ear. Mud looked to see blood, an endless stream of it, like a rushing river, it was coming out of her mouth. Her innocent eyes open wide, the white in them were larger than life itself. Ire had the girl's head in his jaws. Both of his dark orange eyes stared at Mud and his mouth grinned.
[shadow=blue,left,300]". . . no. . . No. . . NOOO~!!"[/shadow] [glow=orange,2,300]All your fault, Muddy, All your fault...[/glow] Ire whispered.
Mud looked to Amaya. A tear escaped her squinted amber eyes, full of hurt. "I...I...I..love you..Mud." Ire was there, his teeth locked around his neck. Again, he stared at Muddy. Those unnatural twin orange orbs of spite glared at Mud, the white in them a pitch black. The malevolent dog ripped out Amaya's throat out, crimson splashed onto Mud's face.
Suddenly, he was awake. His lungs breathing hard, eyes wide with shock. In his teeth, he held a mouthful of tree bark. Mud did not know it, but he slept walked over to a tree, muttering and twitching before growling and ripping off tree bark.

Echo was walking through the forest, the gentle breeze caressed her face. As she continued on past the trees she came to a hill that broke off on one side for a clear stream to run. At the top were Firedrake, Mud, and Amaya laughing and rolling in the grass. When she approached, they greeted her, Mud looked at her cheerfully with clear blue eyes. She was at peace.
Suddenly, his eyes seemed to fade into a dark orange and he grabbed hold of Firedrakes throat, crimson blood flowed down the hill and soiled her paws. Amaya shrieked and Echo sprinted to the top and bit mercilessly at the brown dog's head and neck, but to no avail. Ire pitched Echo off of him and she skidded over the embankment which was now several thousand feet deep with roaring rapids at the bottom.
She struggled to hold onto the edge and when she looked up she saw her half brother Tyr in the place of Ire, with Aspen clamped within his jaws. Aspen looked at her with pleading eyes and tried to croak out a cry for help before Tyr threw him over her head into the river below. She shut her eyes when she saw him hit the water and screamed, "No! Aspen no!" Tyr hovered over her with blazing orange eye as he laughed hysterically at her pain. Her eyes burned an icy stare at him as she screamed, "TYR! I'M GONNA KILL YOU TYR!" He continued his laughter and pushed her into the ravine as well. Everything went black when she plunged into the cold water.
Her eyes opened, it had been another nightmare. The images may have just been part of the dream, but she had really been screaming outloud. Hot tears of anger, guilt, and sorrow let loose from being pent up streamed down her black and white face. She may have already killed Tyr, but still she continued to yell to him in death. "Your gonna pay Tyr!....I'm sorry Aspen!...I'm gonna make sure he pays for what he did!..Aspen...I'm sorry."
She collapsed from physical and emotional exhaustion, her shouts of rage went on for a few more minutes. She didn't care who heard, as long as Tyr did, so he knew that when death finally came to her, she would make sure he continue to suffer by her teeth.

Everything was nice. Amaya, Mud, the bordercollie, and the light colored dog were just laying around. Amaya was with Mud, nuzzling him when a strange figure came. It was Ire, he began to attack everyone including her. Everyone was dead except for her and Mud. Amaya could feel pain in her legs, as she saw Mud laying in a pool of blood. Watching in horror. "Mud! Noooo!!" She yelled in horror.
As she felt something on her neck, she looked. It was Ire, and sadly he looked liked Mud. She then saw him biting her neck, grinning evily. "I..I..Ire..you sh..shall...pay.." But before she could finish, he bit harder, and everything went black. She then awoke in a pool of blood. As her friends lay around her..dead.
Then she woke up screaming, "NO!" It was horrible, she looked at everyone, the collie, the light colored dog....and Mud...biting off wood from a tree. She got up immediately. Shaking her head softly,as if saying no. "I...I..I must go." She said to herself. As tears fell from her eyes, she ran. Running past the two dogs, and Mud. She couldn't take it anymore. As she came past a small river, she saw a log, and looked back seeing no one. Then she ran on it, and jumped off to the other side. Then as she saw a cave, she sat and let out a sad howl. Full of anger from Ire, sadness from her dream, love for Mud, and wishing that this day had never came. Then she got up, running to the cave. She tripped and fell, feeling pain in her paw. Amaya looked, and saw that her left paw was broken, because of a raised root from a tree in theground. But of course she didn't watch her surroundings, so she just laid there...crying.

Firedrake slept peacefully, but awoke to a bunch of yelling. "Whaaatt.." he moaned, stretching his paws and sitting up. His eyes felt as if they were still asleep, and his head felt fuzzy. He sighed, and lay back down exhaustedly. These dogs seem to not like their history or something.. he thought sleepily. He had nothing to regret; not that he remembered. Soon, Firedrake fell again into a dreamless sleep contentedly.

Mud spat out the tree bark that had splintered in his mouth. Something flew past behind him. It was all just a dream.... right? He looked at the orange red male. He stretched with his eyes closed and muttered something before returning to a pleasant sleep.
Then there was the collie. Her body shook uncontrollably. Body and soul were being wracked by unimaginable suffering and grief. Mud understood the feeling, not exactly what she was going through. But he knew the feeling of pain.
His orange eye spied her body lying on the ground. Poor thing... Hmph, to think- I almost liked her spirit. She was the only one that has scratched my skin in the longest time. What a disappointment. Ire said Now, she's not even worth my time. Mud wanted to walk over to her. To tell her that everything would be alright. To sooth and to comfort and to carry on. To thank her for all she had done. Helping him out in a dark time, so selfless and honorable.
He wanted to. But his apprehensiveness got the better of him. Perhaps it would be better if I came at a better time. Mud thought worriedly. I promise, I will thank her properly.... One day...
Amaya... He looked for her, eyes scanning the area. Where is she? Mud began to franticly search for her. His paws trotted here and there, with no results. Mud stuck his nose to the dirt, the wetness made tracking very difficult, not to mention the fact that sensory was not his strong point.
Joy tentativly walked up to the crying female. "Are you alright, miss? That was a horrible fell you took." The pink and black dog wearing a nurse hat was a few inches from her now.

Echo finally rose to her feet, the tears stopped, her face once again serious. She cursed herself for presenting such weakness, but last night events seemed to awaken all of the pain from her past. When she looked off to where the tree where she'd left the small group, three had become one.
'Dammit, I should've known never to let my guard down so easily.' She loped over to where Firedrake was curled up asleep. "Firedrake, wake up! Those two ran off," she nudged him roughly.
Her paws carried her a short distance before she came across Mud. "Kid, what happened to Amaya!" She said, her voiced raised. Echo was on edge in case Ire was back in control and was responsible for her disappearance. Her cold, multi-colored eyes stared him down as she waited for him to respond.

Amaya would look up at the multi colored dog. She just laid there, but looked at her. "Yeah it was.." She stopped, the pain began to come back. She looked at her paw, it was really hurting her. And it looked in bad shape. She licked it some, then she muttered under her breath, "Mud and the others are probably looking for me, I better howl to tell them where I am." She then looked at the collie and took a deep breath. Amaya soon let loose a loud howl, as if saying,"Guys, if your looking for me, I'm over here. And just to let you know, Mud didn't do it!" She hoped that they would find her. "I hoped that didn't disturb you...my name is Amaya, who are you." Amaya barked gently with a smile, she looked at it. It didn't look like a normal collie that's all she knew.

Firedrake yawned. He had been awoken.again. "Okay, I'm coming.." He mumbled. Firedrake stood unsteadily. ugh, where did she and Mud go now.... he thought. He followed Echo until they met up with Mud. Firedrake doubted that Mud or Ire had anything to do with it, but Echo seemed suspicious. "I don't think Amaya's over here. I'll go look up there where she's howling." He said that without knowing he did. He was just as tired as hell, and wanted to sleep.
Firedrake dragged himself up to Amaya. "Echo thinks Ire killed you or something.." he said aloud to Amaya. He looked around her to see a pink and black Collie speaking to her. Firedrake slightly mused at her hat. "So, who are you?" He asked, a little more awake. The female clearly meant no harm.

Mud panicked. He wandered back and forth, pacing and trying to calm himself down. At one point he mistook his own paw prints as Amaya's tracks. He rose to his hind legs, putting his free forepaws on the broad surface of a tree. "Amaya? Are you up there?" No she's not! What an idiot! She's gone. Amaya has left you. Even after all those kind words. She flew the coop. Probably too much for her. How fragile.
Sadness creped into his eyes. All my fault... He looked up to see the collie staring at him. Cold emotion was all he could tell. She thinks we did this? Do it, Muddy. Snap her neck. C'mon, aren't you tired of her bull shit? Mud swallowed a lump of despair that had clumped in his throat. "Sh-she's left us..." Whether that was a reference to himself and the others or Ire and himself was unknown to Mud. That was all he said. All he could say. He looked down, heavy with doubt and frustration at the loss of a friend. Maybe even more than a friend....
Joy turned her head to one side, "'Mud and the others'?" she said, looking up, trying to think harder and harder. Mud? That sounds so familiar..."Hello Amaya, my name is Joy." she said, returning a smile. "Oh you did not disturb me at all. I was just walking when you came crashing down here. I have been hearing a lot of noises from this area lately. That must be your group."
Her brown eyes stared at her paw for a lengthy about of time as she howled. "You might want to..." her muzzle went very close to her broken paw. "Yes, its broken." She said more to herself than anyone. She backed off and said, quietly and embarrassed, "I-I'm sorry. I was just checking your injuries." she inhaled, "It seems to be broken. Please keep it very still. If you bury it in some cool mud, it should help the pain." Maybe thats where I heard that word before. Mud.
Ire... Is that what that male said? That sounds familiar too... And who is Echo? Killing... Killing who? Joy was very lost and confused. Although, I feel it is better to not ask. Especially when it is something so grim as death. "I am Joy." she said shakily to the new male. She always got nervous around males. No matter the species.
Mud's ears perked from their depressive state at Amaya's voice. Amaya! he thought, his spirits soaring high Oh, this is too good to be true! Are you sure about that. Why do you think she called out. She obviously was calling to the others. Ire reminded She did run away from you. Us.
He lowered his head, Maybe I shouldn't even go.

Echo heard the howl of Amaya coming from over the hill and she felt a little embarrassed of the way she overreacted. "She didn't leave, she's just over there. Think about it, if she left, would she have just told us where she is." After taking a few moments to push back all of her pride she looked at him with deep sincerity and apologized, "I'm...sorry, Mud." She emphasized his name as a hint to Ire that she felt no regrets in accusing him. "I overreacted, a little. But I want you to know I just did so because I was concerned Ire had taken control again and hurt Amaya. I don't believe that you, would ever do anything to her."
Echo turned her attention back to the direction Firedrake ran off too. She purked her ears and she could hear three distinct voices, meaning there was a strange dog with Firedrake and Amaya. She turned to go check it out but noticed Mud still stood there as if he wasn't going to follow as she expected. "Aren't you coming? Amaya could be hurt and she and Firedrake are up there alone with a strange dog."

Amaya would think, 'I hope Mud doesn't think I left him, and I hope Iredoesn't make him want to leave.' She looked at them and smiled, "Joy,that's a nice name. Well I guess I should get up." She then started to get up, feeling some pain as her paw went in the mud abit. Mud...that's allthat she was thinking about. She gave another howl, as to signal she was coming back. She then sniffed the air, and started to walk down. Carefully, limping,as she began to run some. Amaya stopped, as she saw Mud and the dog named Echo. She barked, "Hey!I'm alright!" She then walked some more until she was about 5 feet from them.

Firedrake yawned. Even though he was a little more awake, he still felt like he would drop dead. "Nice name, Joy." Firedrake complimented. He had never felt any real attraction to any dog, and really never intended to. He noticed her nervousness, and said, "It's okay, we're all good here." He said, looking towards Echo and Mud. "Echo can be a little rude, but Mud's clean." He smiled, but then dropped to the ground. Not too much later, he was asleep once more.
What is he up to now!? I'll chew his paws off as soon as I see him. That idiot, that retard! Always running away when I least expect him to. I'll throw him at a tree. Serves him right, he owes me BIG TIME. Shenkka cursed as she swiftly ran through the field. Firedrake had disappeared a day ago, and left an easy trail to track. He was a decent runner, but NOT a fighter.
Shenkka was better than him in physical conditions. Her paws hit the ground a few more times before she almost crashed into another dog. Shenkka barked, then swerved around the brown-colored male. She had really never cared about anyone but her friends, which currently consisted of one.
She kept running, past the two dogs she had no care for. Then, she finally saw him. His orange pelt always stood out. Shenkka snarled. Yes, she thought. It's payback time. She leaped for Firedrake's scruff as soon as he sat down. "Found you!" She barked, angry but with a friendly tone.

Joy watched as the female ran off. Her ear flicked back for a moment. Apprehension washed over her face. She thanked Firedrake for his compliment. The poor dog seems really tired. He should really get some rest. Her brown eyes wandered off in the distance. It hadn't been long since she had escaped that hell hole of a facility. What should I do now? Would they mind if I were to join their pack for a while? No, I will just... The sounds of a dog running up and yelling frightened her. Her pink hackles raised in distress as a yelp of terror escaped her mouth. It took her a few moments to see that the dog had a friendly tone to her voice.
Mud listened to Echo's feather tipped words. His mood lightened. Perhaps... she is right? No.... No... No.... Very bad Muddy. Remember, she is our enemy... Ire hissed in his ear, She will not hesitate to rip your throat out and watch you bleed out. And neither should you.
"Aren't you coming? Amaya could be hurt and she and Firedrake are up there alone with a strange dog."
Mud nodded to her question. Of course, for Amaya he would do anything. Amaya stood there, panting. She was limping too. No... "Are you alright? What happened to your paw?" Mud stared at her injured limb.
Suddenly a blurr of multi colored fur nearly hit Mud. His eyes went wide as it barked, slid in a sharp turn and ran away. Ire bared his teeth and bursted into a full pursuit after the dog. Saliva dribbled from his snarling mouth as he jumped down the ravine to come face to face with the threat. Nearby a pink colored dog stood like a deer in headlights.

Echo's hackles raised at the sight of yet another strange dog come from behind them and passed. She did NOT like being snuck up on from behind, it infuriated her. However she had no time to worry about it this minute.
Out of her blue eye, she saw Mud's muzzle snarl with sharp teeth bared. He raced after the dog in heated pursuit and she sprinted after him, gaining enough ground to keep them in sight. She knew it, this was what she was waiting for, why she stayed. She watched as his brown paws thundered across the ground and he approached the purple colored female. "Don't do it, Kid!"
She took her chance and gathered her remaining engery and leapt the final distance and landed on Mud/Ire's back, grabbing the skin on the back of his neck and using her own weight and momentum to pull him with her as she tumbled to the ground. She clumsily got to her feet and smirked. "No fighting, unless I'm in on it." Her multi-colored eyes studied him carefully, trying to figure out who was in control now. She didn't think Mud would get angry at anything as minor as an almost hit and run, but she knew someone else who might....
